Sharingan Rules

1.) You may not achieve the next level of your sharingan unless you get the approval of two staff members, with at least one of them being an admin.

2.) For the time being only one character will be granted mangenkyou abilities, we may allow more in the future. However, just because we may allow it in the future, does not give any member an excuse to constantly message staff members about it. It may be opened and should it be opened, it will be given out in a fair manner.

3.) Three Tomoe Sharingan users are limited to copy no more than one jutsu for every page in a combat thread and only when the owner is involved in the combat. (This means no copying while just spectating a match between others or copying in a social thread.) While this does not follow the abilities of the canon sharingan, this rule has been created to prevent people from abusing the sharingan.

Furthermore please bear in mind that the sharingan can not copy Kekkei Genkei techniques, Hijutsu techniques or any technique that requires body modifications or earlier preparation. Lastly the sharingan can only copy techniques at the user's rank.
  • Academy Students may copy E rank techniques
  • Genin may copy up to D rank techniques
  • Chuunin may copy up to C rank techniques
  • Special jounin may copy up to B rank in their specialization
  • Jounin may copy up to B rank techniques
  • Elite Jounin may copy up to A rank

4.) The sharingan technique of Heaven and Earth Change will not work against S rank genjutsu. However, the user (if Elite Jounin) will be able to break S rank genjutsu, just not reverse it. Additionally, if attempting to use the sharingan to break through genjutsu created by a genjutsu sole specialist, they will only be able to break through genjutsu one rank below the normal. The ability to break genjutsu for those with at least Two Tomoe is as follows.
  • Academy Students may break up to D rank and are unable to reverse techniques
  • Genin may break up to C rank and reverse up to D rank
  • Chuunin may break up to B rank and reverse up to C rank
  • Special Jounin specializing in genjutsu are treated as jounin, otherwise treat them as chuunin.
  • Jounin may break up to A rank and reverse up to B rank
  • Elite Jounin may break up to S rank and reverse up to A rank

As mentioned these are all bumped down by one rank against genjutsu sole specialists.

5.) For those with a sharingan capable of slowing the owner's perception of time [Three Tomoe], please bear in mind that just because you are able to see something happening does not automatically mean that you will be able to prevent or even react to it. While you might be able to track an exceptionally speedy taijutsu user, if your body is not trained to move nearly as fast then obviously you will be unable to utilize your enhanced perception
6.) Keeping in line with the previous rule, just because one is able to see the world at a slowed state, this only occurs to what you are actually able to see. Essentially, keep in mind that just because you see the world moving slower than it actually is, does not mean that your field of view is drastically increased. That particular ability lies outside of the sharingan's ability pool.

7.) When copying techniques, please bear in mind that when copying elemental techniques that you must be able to utilize that element to utilize them. So, if one were to try and copy the fuuton technique "Great Breakthrough" without being capable of using the wind element, then you would be unable to use/copy the technique.
