http://www.anime-destiny.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/MelkMountain-982x552.jpgIwagakure's civil war was well underway. Revolutionaries and Loyalists had scattered all around the expansive country of Tsuchi no Kuni in order to secure vital parts of the country for their respective sides. In the country's South West lied an important mining reserve. Filled with coal, who ever had control over the area would be able to have heavy influence on the path the village would go forth in.

The Mining Area of Kon was cut into the earth.  At the top of a long and steep cliff would be flat land that reached further into the Earth Country.  One river would have cascading water topple from the river above and come to form a river below that ran through the Kon Valley.  This river was merely five meters across and a few meters deep.  A few buildings would be scattered along the mining ground floor.  Up the sides of each cliff there would be narrow pathways that ran zigzagged along the walls, only large enough to have a small cart barely fit.  The main mining entrance was large and headed by thick boards of wood to keep it from collapsing.  Piles of coal and rock could be found in carved out areas towards the bottom of the valley.  The land was hard, the surfaces often sharp and unforgiving.  Though great force risked the mine collapsing or even the walls surrounding the mine floor toppling down like the waterfall.  At the bottom of this ravine is where Bakuhatsuka Amaterasu and Sairin Takumi would begin battle.  On the ground floor, near the main mine entrances, the two would meet 25 meters apart and begin their dance of war.

There sat the main entrance to the cliff side to Takumi's right, and the opponents left. Dark skin, very blonde long hair and a set of noticeable green eyes. The assassin took note of these features and kept the image in his mind. His memory was fairly good with faces and names now. Through his time with missions he needed to be on point with facts, details and memory all together. It was important on high risk missions that could lead to the development of countries politic ties. Assassinations, spying, lying and more. It was a dirty game on the other side of the wall. The grass always seems greener, but those who try...lie in their own graves. It was a matter of time till they all would face the same fate. It's simply what they leave behind that amounts to what their worth.

These two that sat in this canyon of various mines, had wills and purposes for standing here. It wasn't personal but very intentional they showed up. Both of them with their game faces on and being driven by their worth. It was a magnificent thing, and the middle-aged Sairin loved it. His mediocre grin emerging on his face at the irony of life. His blue eyes began to trace the outline of the battlefield, and important parts. To their left was a large building almost like a farm to hold horses, two large doors coming together and inside had the wooden slide lock. It was currently open, carts inside and large amounts of coal in them. The area was abandoned for the most part, but some people stuck around to watch. They were hiding through out canyon, hopefully they stayed hidden for their sake. They stood on a dirt path that trailed behind his opponent to a bridge over the river. The water spanned far, wrapping behind the house to their left and following down the canyon.

"Whom are you?" words left his mouth to the unknown person. She didn't look familiar at all but the world was a big place after all. His deep features showed as they stood 25 meters apart. Chiseled jaw bones to give a profound facial structure. Very masculine and defining. Standing roughly six feet tall; muscular and toned. The black leather jacket swung down similar to that of a trench coat. Pockets lined the outsides and insides. His hands were stuffed into two of them on either side, the main large ones meant for such. The standard Amegakure flak jacket hung over his black t-shirt, tucked into his black cargo pants, and a black belt tightened 'em together. Not to mention his dirtied, dusty black boots. They were also fastened tightly to his body and ready to go. His words usually were short. He spoke, and bled everyday. That wouldn't kill him, but minor arrangements were needed. A simple question if they were an enemy or a friend.

The man made-shift a formation with his left hand, still pressed in his pocket and concentrated. In a moments notice the earth behind him rose. It started bulging, twisting and forming into something. It was a matter of a second or so until a similar shape fit behind him. If paying close attention she'd notice it was an identical twin; clone. It held the same figure, appearance and had it's hand stuffed in it's pockets too. It just peered forward with an open wide-view utilizing it's peripherals like it's master did. It was important to scan both areas and keep the blind spots handled. His partner in crime would be extremely helpful too, if needed but hopefully they were allies. Who knew!

Name:Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu - [Rock Clone Technique]
Rank:C
Type:Ninjutsu
Element:Doton
Description:
Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu that utilizes rock to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Iwa Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. If the Iwa Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural rock state. It should be noted however, out of all of the elemental clones the Iwa Bunshin is the most difficult to destroy, often taking extreme amounts of force or raiton techniques to destroy it.

Iwagakure, a visually impressive village cut into the mountains years ago, is surrounded by mountainous plateaus and peaks that make it nigh impossible to breach; Thus making war with the village rather difficult… at least from the outside. But this was no normal war. This was CIVIL war, a war within Iwagakure's borders. With the Tsuchikage pushing his luck, it wasn’t surprising that people would begin to revolt and revolt they did.

Amaterasu had essentially been wandering around without aim since the revolution truly began. Being a guard to the Tsuchikage, she was expected to be on the loyalist side of things but… rarely do things go as expected with the blonde knucklehead of a kunoichi. Besides, she wasn’t exactly his biggest fan to begin with. As thoughts of times gone past floated about in her mind, Amaterasu found herself meandering into the Kon Valley. Here, with crags on either side, she would come to find herself standing roughly 25 meters away from another person. A person she didn’t quite recognize. "Whom are you?" This man, dressed nigh entirely in black with piercing blue eyes asked her. She stared at him a bit, unknowingly making a mental sketch of his physical features.

"That’s not nice, yo.” Amaterasu said, in her usual (albeit unusual) tone. Raising her hands to rest behind her blonde mop of a head, she stretches a bit as she continued. "You’re s’posed to say who you are first, yo. That’s re-spect, yo.” The small shirt she bore road up as she leaned back slightly, revealing a bit more of her curvaceous tan form. Her abs tensed in her little stretch, emphasizing the musculature her body tried ever so poorly to hide. Of course, whether or not her words fell on deaf ears or not wasn’t known, as her opponent made no attempt at waiting before he took action. With no visible cue, earth rose up beside him, taking his shape; it formed a mirror copy of him. A clone. One of the styles she abhorred as a Yutakako.

"Yo. Don’t waste any time do ya, Blue, yo?” She grinned as she spoke, her smile hidden beneath the thin white collar of her half-shirt. She had decided to nickname this one by the piercing blue eyes he had been staring at her with since they had arrived (not to mention completely ignoring the fact that she had just told him to properly introduce himself). "That’s fine. I like it that way, yo.” Amaterasu lowered her body slightly, switching from a relaxed stance to one she was more comfortable moving in. Her aura changed, the energy she had stifled up until now nearly screaming to burst forth from her body. She was, for lack of a better way to put it, extremely ready to fight… or so she’d like. Her style wasn’t one for… viewers. Green eyes darting over her shoulder, she caught sight of spectators she had previously ignored.

"I’d leave if I were you, yo.” She said aloud, before turning back to what she now saw as an enemy. Those who could recognize the strength of the ninja before them, or those that knew well of Amaterasu, had begun to back further and further away. Crossing the river to put themselves out of harm's reach. "Now then, Blue. Re-spect, yo. What’re you doin’ here, yo?" She asked, allowing him time to answer before she took action. If he didn’t respond, fine. Whatever the case, the moment he would move, so would she.

//Blue huh..?// thinking to himself as he recollected his names. The black raven, blue, Taku and more. He had picked up many names when he was younger, but only one big one stuck. It was his formidable name from the mission he ran years back, and saved his entire team. It always seemed like whatever happened he had something to relate to. It was pleasant to say the least, but pleasantries always ran thin in war. In Takumi's eyes he had a very simple question. It was unrelated to any form of respect, right or wrong...anything along those distinct lines. Instead, he walked the middle path about everything. His inquiring was important because he needed to know who the woman was, but now she clearly showed she was an enemy.

His boots shifted firmly into the dirt, holding his place and ready to move instantly. Practically thirty-years of training was packed into his body. The man had faced many trials much like this one, but their was always differences. The man wasn't much for words as his hands stayed stuffed in his pockets like usual. He kept the same serious, expressionless face. They held no difference in the fact that the people of Iwagakure didn't deserve to die. They both waited patiently for the viewers to move out of harms way. The man was willing to bleed for his people, but didn't want to give the satisfaction for his enemy. That's why usually only spoke outwards and not directly to. It's like he wasn't subjecting himself to bleed for others but his own sake. His clone remained facing the opposite direction, back-to-back they stood and they were still.

What a figure she had, flimsy shirt, low cut shorts and she just loved it. It was obviously she knew she had goodies, and she flaunted ‘em like candy. Takumi was still a man and couldn’t help but be attracted to her. Despite the muscular assets, bony endings and bust of the goddess…she was still the enemy. Anyone who revolted needed to be handled and it was his primary choice to handle this accordingly. Fight or flight?

The man withdrew his hands from his pockets now, remaining still and reaching his left to grab his right wrist. Chakra flowed through him fluently and he manifested his personal abilities greater than others. A master of the Yamiji is what some would say. His clan techniques were impressionable and less costly. A quarter of the drain would be the reduction, easing his drain and making them more plausible. A chakra slowly flowed from his palm but realistically a seal was planted on it. A black fog emerged from his hand and rose into the area. It began to rise, extend and take up the area. If not interrupted it would reach all the way to ten meters in diameter. The ‘blue’ shadow would lie in wait inside the fog, watching and contemplating. The view outwards to inside would be hard to see. The fog wasn’t the usual, and took a blackening appearance. It collaged well with his outfit naturally, hence his name and why he wore that attire. Passively preparing for the inevitable end of either him, or her. They both were dedicated. Takumi wasn’t much of a talker, and she seemed more like a fighter. It seems they both came prepared today, hah.

NAME: Kiri bonchi [Fog Basin]

RANK: C

CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: N/A

DESCRIPTION:

Takumi uses his left hand to grab his right wrist, concentrating and inserting chakra to activate his seal. Using chakra to stimulate the seal on his palm he can open it, and draw forth large amounts continuously. Doing so it'll pour heavily to the ground, one post means 10m in diameter of fog, two posts means 20m in diameter and so on. Each post however requires a medium drain to continue to create more fog. It's useful for preparation, stealth and diversions. It's a pinnacle of an assassin's invisibility. However, the down side is that he is immobilized while doing this. Since the jutsu requires so much concentration he cannot perform other techniques during this, or sustain others besides clone techniques. Anything that requires his direct attention will dissipate.

SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME

Amaterasu’s patience was growing rather thin. She had asked him a question but apparently it too fell on deaf ears. Never the matter. It was time to act anyways. Watching the black-clad ninja withdraw his hands from his jacket, she readied herself. In moments like this everything around her feels like it slows down; her muscles tense as they prepare themselves to burst forth into a dodge, her eyes strain as they try to take in every bit of information about what the opponent is doing, sounds seem to fade away as her focus becomes laser-sharp… Things seem to take ages, despite happening in mere fractions of a minute. As his hands moved together, she prepared herself for the inevitable…

However… What she saw was not quite as expected. Instead of forming a hand-sign he grabbed his right wrist and… a black smoke began billowing out? A screen? No… possibly not. In battle it wasn’t safe to make too many assumptions. That said… Amaterasu wasn’t one to spend too much time thinking. "Fuck it and blow it.” That’s her way of thinking (or lack thereof as the case may be). Speaking of…

"I ask’d you nicely, Blue. Guess you don’t like talking much. I don’t either, yo.” Amaterasu grinned wildly, blue scars edging up from below her tall collar. She didn’t move, but began to swiftly weave signs with her hands. "Let’s get started then, yo!” She crouched forward, shifting all of her weight onto her right leg like a tightly wound spring. In a flash she shot forward, snapping her reality back into real time.

Right now instinct had taken over. Throwing herself into that… smoke or whatever, felt like a bad idea. In order to attack an opponent that is a great distance away she needed some kind of ranged attack. However, Amaterasu didn’t have many abilities to help in this situation. As such, she didn’t really have much in ways options. Bakuton chakra began to form around her feet as she rushed into the smoke.

It was as thick and dark as she had imagined it to be. Visibility within this was impossible. But that mattered not for the knuckle-headed ninja. She stuck to her guns. Stopping short of where she had assumed Takumi was (it was difficult to properly measure distance within a fog like this) she rose one leg straight up into what appeared to be an axe-kick. The Bakuton chakra she had molded around her foot as she ran had completely surrounded her foot by now.
"I don’t like hiding, yo! Fight me already. Yo!” She shouted, slamming her foot into the ground with intense force. The moment it made impact with the ground, the chakra surrounding Amaterasu’s food exploded outward. Shattering the ground beneath her and the surrounding area, and ‘causing a small shock-wave to erupt from her foot. Whether or not the shock-wave or collapsing ground was enough to knock him off of his feet, she wasn’t sure. But standing around was trying her patience.

NAME: Būtsu o Bakuhatsu [Exploding Boots]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Bakuton
DESCRIPTION:
Exactly the same jutsu as Exploding Gauntlet, but with the foot: the Bakuton is charged around the feet and then released upon impact.
The chakra around the foot will be condensed around the feet in whole, so it would be able to used upon any angle. The catch with this jutsu is that when it explodes, the impact also affects the user, possibly causing nasty falls.
Once again, this jutsu, as it's brother, can cause broken bones, fingers, noses and break small shinobi weapons with no special effects upon them.

It was inevitable that they would collide at some point. That's why his earth clone and fog were placements. They were needed to keep his opponent at bay, especially without knowing her abilities and traits. The woman was just as mysterious as he was. The only difference is that their abilities were silent. They could only be revealed through talking, or showing someone. Unlike that, it was hard to show someone that you were experienced with your senses. An assassin's motivation is to become connected with your senses, and act instinctively. To recognize sounds, familiar scents, different ones, etc. The mind was delicate, but very advanced. If someone knew how to train it right, it could become a glass cannon.

"Let’s get started then, yo!” the voice once again emerged, and Takumi took that as the go. Immediately he halted his fog releasing, and his rock clone pivoted around the Jounin. It ran in front of him and took stance. Foot steps were consistently growing now and he knew the woman was incoming. Now from the rate she was coming it seemed fast, and he needed to take a secondary measure. The man activated Kankaku with a single seal, immediately detecting the chakra presence meters ahead of him. They were both in the smoke. "I don’t like hiding, yo! Fight me already. Yo!” She was close. That triggered his fight or flight mode. Springing off his left foot and flinging himself in a leap backwards. Immediately the ground shattered underneath him, and his clone.

Luckily for his sake he was in the air, but the pressure of the shock wave carried him back. As he flew backwards, he used the added air time to make a counter measure. The Jounin’s hands flew into a formation. The Sairin assassin spewed a watery liquid from his mouth, coating the ground up to 20 square meters ahead before he landed with his right foot; halting. The idea was to catch this brute, and stop this tank from making the next destructive move.
His clone lost balance during the attack, but was barely pushed back. Solid rock had a lot of weight added to it, surprisingly! Since Takumi and the clone switched in the fog moments ago, the real one wasn't identifiable; hopefully element of surprise was still at hand. They were both locked in a mind set of their own. The adrenaline rush that Takumi got was invigorating at this point. It made him antsy, hungry and excited to fight. Some might even mention they see him stifle a smile during cold combat. This was one of those occasions. The corner of his mouth lifted, a smirk given to the woman; left him impressed. She had a strong ability, incredibly strong and merciless. Never had he encountered someone with such 'explosive' power. Little did people know why he stood here today fighting for Iwagakure. Personally, he knew his clans heritage...these lands were sacred among his family. Some even called it "home", but he wouldn't go that far.

His objective was to protect this critical point. Maintain morale on the village of Iwagakure, establish dominance and help them politically if needed. Those who have worked with Takumi before knew he was a military asset, very strong and determined on his goals. He was decisive and critical. It was important to be serious when it came to such duties, but more importantly...involved. That's why he was here in mid-battle, dancing in the art of war; passionately.

Name:Mizuame Nabara - [Starch Syrup Capture Field]
Rank:C
Type:Ninjutsu
Element:Suiton
Description:
Mizuame Nabara is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel a sticky liquid from their gullet. This liquid can cover approximately 20 square meters. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows the user or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well.

NAME: Kankaku [Sense]

RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: N/A
DESCRIPTION:
Kankaku is a technique developed by Takumi to locate enemies in his fog. Utilizing his chakra, he can form a single seal and utilize chakra into his palm. The Fog's seal will interact with the current fog. If another body of chakra is inside the black fog, other than his own, he'd be able to "feel" them out with the fog. Since his fog is lined with his chakra, it's in "essence" a part of him. Only in this area would it be able to only tell -other- chakra sources, and a general direction of where they are coming from. They must be -in- the black fog for them to be detected.

SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME

The ground crumbled beneath Amaterasu’s feet. It had been some time since she went all out with her Bakuton and since the spectators were no longer within range of her explosions, she didn’t feel the need to hold back against this guy, Blue. Blood pumped through her veins at an increasing rate as she became more and more excited. Her heart-rate increased. Sweat began beading on her forehead, under her busty chest and in her palms. One would normally feel nervousness when in combat. Fear of what could be. Fear of death. Fear of losing. But that wasn’t how Amaterasu saw it. To her, this was a challenge. She had faced death once before and nearly lost… But she didn’t. She had survived. She had lived and moved on. And here she was again. In what could be her final battle. But… She felt no fear. These feelings coursing through her tugged at the sides of her lips, pulling them into a smile. This was exhilarating.

The shockwave ‘caused by her detonation pushed what fog he had created back within a radius around her, leaving the wind to disperse it. Her vision became clear. However… She had missed. Her eyes darted upwards as she fell into the crumbling indentation she had made in the ground. Still two… The first hadn’t moved much while the other was now in the air. As Takumi began to weave signs, Amaterasu realized her situation. Falling as she was, she had no firm placement on the ground. Like this, she was a sitting duck.

However, a genius of in-battle quick-thinking, Amaterasu immediately hatched a counter-plan. Arching backwards, she outstretched one hand to the ground while holding the other up in the tiger hand seal. All she needed was… yes! Her fingers met the now warm rock beneath her. Because of the radius of the explosion and how the ground had crumbled, the area behind her was raised more so than the area directly beneath her (which had received the brunt of the explosion). Given the time at which it would take Blue to weave his signs, she didn’t have time to wait for her feet to touch the ground. As such…

The moment her hand met earth, she disappeared in a puff of smoke, reappearing some 5 meters or so behind Takumi and his clone just as the area she had been mere moments ago was covered in a sticky substance. While she still wasn’t sure which one was the real one, it didn’t much matter. She’d merely have to beat both of them. For starters, she eyed both of the forms briefly, this one.

She ran at the one that had barely been moved by the explosion. She knew she couldn’t hesitate for a second. While she still had no grasp on what it is this Ame nin’s jutsu did, she also didn’t think much about it. All she thought about was blasting through the target in front of her. And that’s all she ever thought about.
"Surely that’s not all you got, Blue, yo!” She never could keep herself quiet. It just wasn’t in her nature to. Pulling back one of her hands and opening it to be a flat palm, she abruptly stops before her target. Swinging her arm forward with all the force her toned body can muster, she aims directly for this one’s chest. "Keimou Shou Ouda!”

NAME: Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General]
ELEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION:
By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, and any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion.

NAME: Keimou Shou Ouda [Enlightened Palm Strike]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
ELEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION:
The user forms an open and flat palm with their hands and strikes at the opponent with the full force and weight of their body. Upon impact, the user steps forward and with another push they can instantly double the force used. With the sheer strength required of this style, this simple palm thrust can stop a speeding boulder rolling down a hill in its tracks and with the second push, either break it into fist sized rocks or even send the boulder rolling backwards a dozen feet. When done to a human, the effects can be equally devestating.

They were locked in combat was the smoke cleared. The Jounin's chest bulged before it condensed to release a large stream of water from his mouth. This technique had very useful properties about it and they'd be unveiled in time. Since him and his clone switched prior to the attack, the clone was in between the two. The girl was now in the air, falling into the small crater and his jutsu was coming. The liquid shot forth coating the ground with the clone, around it and further back; twenty square meters. The woman had formed a tiger seal, touched the ground and vanished to a blind spot. Luckily for Takumi he recognized the same jutsu he had in his arsenal. Let alone was able to trace her movements using his keen senses and adept perception. Now, it was feint on her direction of movement so he traced his eyes along with it.

That's when she reappeared and started jolting toward the clone. Her intent seemed to only focus on the target, similar to his taijutsu technique and how he manifested such blinding speeds. Usually this left a person blind-sided with tunnel vision if only focusing on their target. She seemed to be doing so, but such assumptions can't be made. Instead, he played along; landing firmly on the ground and clapped his hands together; making a seal. The original Takumi was locked onto her, but the distance wasn't working in his favor. If he wanted to finish this and save his clone...he needed to move quick.Just as her abrupt stop happened to strike the said clone. The watery substance was below the clones feet. Anyone in that diameter would also be stuck if they laid their feet onto it.The intention was to risk the clone to capture her earlier, but it came back to haunt most ninja.

The seal that Takumi made during this time was vital. He continued to hold it, and as she went to make her attack the ground would shift underneath her. It turned into a conical shape, a funnel of sorts and spiraled down. The uneven surface now sinking and twisting inwards. It was intended to pull her harshly down, and off set her attack. The shinobi remained still, thinking and watching intently. Not necessarily on just her, but taking note of the surroundings: clone, syrup field, the building, her, the crater, etc. They were all factors. If she did make the full on assault, the clone would be struck and devastated to say the least.

Name:Arijigoku - [Inescapable Hell]

Rank:B

Type:Ninjutsu

Element:Doton

Description:

Arijigoku is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Earth Element. After forming the needed hand seal, the user will create a conical crater below their opponent. This twisting, sinking pit will pull the target below ground to imprison and suffocate them. While performing this technique the user must be in contact with the ground and may not move faster than a slow walk while they hold the final seal.

Battle is often compared to games such as shogi. Strategies are made and carried out, as close to plan as possible. The victor is very often the one that had the better strategy; the one that could read their opponents moves and properly adjust themselves to their opponent’s actions. And Takumi, unfortunately for Amaterasu, was indeed one that was good at knowing how to predict his opponent.

Amaterasu’s movements were fast, absurdly so. Muscles tensing as she ran, she wasted not a single bit of the power behind them. Every single movement was training-honed, muscle-memorized perfection. Beauty in form, elegant (the one time Amaterasu would ever be called that). Blinking towards the clone with blinding speed, she drew her right arm back. Unfortunately, her abrupt, albeit short, stop was enough of a time gap for Takumi to counter, as it were.

Unbeknownst to Amaterasu, as she made her attempt at one of the two Takumis’ lives, the other had already read her movements and was preparing a jutsu to counter. Just as she was about to hit the clone, the ground shifted below her, pulling her downwards. She nearly fell as this occurred, throwing off her aim: her palm suddenly dropped, thrusting into the upper leg of the clone rather than the intended point of impact. While in this state, the second thrust of the attack was impossible, the power behind the first sealed the clone’s fate regardless. Exploding into rubble and crumbling with a splat into the syrup below it, Amaterasu cursed her bad luck and craned her head to look at her real enemy as she began to sink further into the sinkhole he had created beneath her. Annoyance surged through her, turning what was once a wild grin into a scowl.

Battle is indeed like shogi. The victor is very often the one that had the better strategy… Then again battle is NOT shogi. Battle requires more than careful planning and reactionary tactics. Battle requires the proper instinct, the proper desire. And Amaterasu would NOT lose in that respect. While she may have lost this single move, there were many more to go… And victory had not been decided quite yet.

With the ground quickly pulling her downwards towards the center of the pit, there wasn’t much time to react let alone options for escape. Briefly considering her options, instead chose to resign herself to waiting and began to deftly form hand-seals as she sunk. Her eyes remained pinned on the blue-eyed ninja a she was pulled deeper and deeper into the pit. Her mind was racing, not with thoughts on how to react or plans on how to attack him back, merely with the simple thought: One down, one to go.

Success! The stern, concentrated face of Takumi lightened a bit. His earthen technique had off-set his opponent. The explosive strike shifted to the clone's upper right leg, blowing it clean off and forcing it to tumble over. It crumbled in dust, stones and pebbles. They dropped into the now twisting funnel that pulled Amaterasu quickly into the ground. Takumi stood roughly five-meters away, facing the action and watching her feet pull under first. The technique was working up the calf, half-way stopping and forcing her still. //It's enough...// he thought to himself. The fog now had settled back in again, but thinned out due to her mini-explosion. It spanned outwards of fifteen meters but wasn't nearly as thick now. Even with his full black attire he'd still be at least noticeable inside the vapor screen. It covered the field around them and they were still in the center of it. He had stopped the hand seal to let her be immobilized calf down. In one motion when he withdrew his hands from the held hand seal that held her, he extended his right palm towards his opponent. The imprinted mark on his palm opened. It released a black fog-like chakra that quickly shifted into projectiles. It was a barrage of pitch black, solidified senbon made from condensed chakra. They whizzed through the air swiftly and at five meters away. The sense of urgency often caused panic and faults. The Jounin wanted her to be on her toes...well, ironically now she couldn't at the moment. Rather, she needed to be on edge...every second.

The man wouldn't let up at all and always prepped his next move. The process remained immediate to Takumi who now held a hand seal with his left hand. His right was still extended, but the barrage jutsu halted. His legs were firmly planted onto the ground, stance made and his face was ready. Only those two blues eyes peered out from the fog. They watched silently, confidently and patiently. A predator need to remain wise, or else he face a certain fate. That which was like hell, or insanity. An ultimate fate. It was the cycle of life on choices you make, and actions you take. Time was almost slow but they moved so quick. His heart paced fluently, heavily on his chest and he loved it. The natural sweating from your pores, the hot tingling sensation on your skin...it was a drug. Adrenaline junkies always sought the same heart dropping sensation. Here he was yet again...loving his challenge to seek new thrill.

It was like he was playing a game, but analyzing his opponent. Wanting them to make the moves he left openings for, and planning for the backdoor ones. It was a game of cat and mouse and he was hungry for either. He was the dog in the back yard that folks warn ya' about. They put a sign up and tell ya' to stay away. Some listened, others didn't and some down right didn't care. They stood in front of this confident raven for many reasons. In the end, he viewed it as a test. The world didn't have time for many things such as: certainty, fairness, right or wrong, kindness, evil, etc. Simply some did not exist, some were created out of fear and others out of love. In the end, in this moment...it was life or death. Those two things were indeed certain, but it was simply who won. It is what it is.

Let's proceed.

NAME: Burakkunīdoruzu [Black Needles]

RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Very low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: N/A
DESCRIPTION:

Takumi can extend his right palm revealing his seal to release previously charged black fog from his hand. The fog will extend into sharp needles, and propel themselves forward. They shoot in sets of five, and head out like a barrage(Meaning not one by one, but all together). The barrage can and will continue if the user continues to pour chakra into the technique. Two posts of being struck by the barrage can leave someone bleeding out.

SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME

Instinct began to take its hold of Amaterasu’s body. Her eyes flickered quickly from Takumi to the battlefield surrounding her, taking in every bit of information it could in the swift stolen glances. She had been imbedded into the ground roughly up to her calves. The tight, crushing feeling of the earth squeezing against her muscled legs and feet was irritating. The earth in Iwagakure was generally cold and hard, and that solidity, which had proved itself so useful in keeping her village safe time and time again was now being utilized against her. The ground tugged at her form, pulling it deeper and deeper and increasing the pressure at every minute. However, just as finished her hand-seals, Takumi released his technique. The sinking feeling stopped altogether as the earth returned to its stable form. The pressure released slightly, but was still tightly holding Amaterasu’s body in place. It was hard to keep balance in such a state, but she had no choice. She had to move quickly. Chakra surged around her hands as she pulled a fist back, aiming to smash the ground at her feet.

Unfortunately Takumi had not hesitated to move into his next attack. With the fog he had released earlier, stabilizing around the two. It was harder to see, but still possible to distinguish the form of her enemy. His hand jutted forward and more smoke billowed forth; this time quickly reshaping itself into long, black needles.

Smashing her hand into the ground with as much force as she could muster, she blew a crater around her feet. Another small shockwave formed around her as her lower legs were suddenly freed from their confines. With a swift kick, she flung herself out of the conical hole that Takumi’s previous jutsu had made. Unfortunately, distance and speed were not on her side. As she made to leap from the pit, Takumi’s senbon pierced her flesh. Two in the right leg: the first piercing the muscled fattier area of her right calf while the other glanced her knee and one in her right forearm, which had been towards the forefront of the attack.

Pain shot what felt like electrical pulses through her body as she landed 5 more meters away, increasing the distance between them to 10 meters. Pulling the protruding needles from her arm and leg quickly, she rushed to the left. Distancing herself from him would allow her an easier time to dodge, but what she was really doing was increasing the distance between her and the syrup field he laid down earlier. While the pain was very real, it was something that she had been trained, nigh programmed, to respond to with little more than annoyed resolve. She didn’t notice it. Blood trickled down her leg from her grazed knee as she moved swiftly.

There was still one down. There was no time to let him settle in for another glancing blow or trap. What she needed to do now was to lay on the pressure. The thin fog was enough to obscure his hands, so she’d have to be wary of what it was he was preparing to do. That said… She rushed him yet again, bouncing back and forth in a difficult to predict zig-zagging pattern. Priority number one: close the gap.

NAME: Gantoretto bakuhatsu [Exploding Gauntlets]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Bakuton
DESCRIPTION:
A similar idea as the Exploding Palm, although on a more dangerous level. The hand will be covered in Bakuton chakra, allowing anything that it touches to explode on impact.
This jutsu does more than simply parry, block or throw a small weapon back. Instead, it aims to destroy what it touches, and cause true pain.
Fingers and noses can and will be broken under the use of this jutsu, as well as fragile objects, kunai and shuriken (not infused with chakra or protected by some seal/jutsu) included, will break.
The reason why it needs so much chakra for a low level jutsu, is that a layer of chakra protects the user from suffering the same damage as their opponent. Burns will still be accounted for, as well as sore muscles and sprained wrists if used too much. It is adviced not to go above three in a short amount of time.

NAME: Usagi Sanpo [Rabbit walk]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: N/A
CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
ELEMENT: N/A
DESCRIPTION:
Usagi Sanpo is the art of moving really fast, in a nonlinear direction. The user approaches the target in a zig-zag pattern, pouncing left and right while facing the opponent. Due to speed of the movement, and the irregular pattern, they are often confused as to when or how to strike, thus leaving them aghast until it's too late.

The moves were abrupt, quickly happening in jolts of adrenaline. Most would assume these two were just fighting for their lives; they weren't though. They were fighting for their beliefs and they'd die for them. That's what separated them from most people, and they'd never be the same. In this situation, it was experience of the trade that separated these two. By no means was that certainty he'd win, but it was a factor. The woman finished her technique then slammed her fist into the ground. It shattered the rock encasing her feet and freed her. A few needles struck her before she could leap back five meters.

//About ten meters....// the Jounin mentally noted as he watched. His syrup was still on the ground, to the left of her but a good distance between. //Clone was handled...// his mind circulated the factors. His hands were once again stuffed into his coat-pockets; casually. Immediately popped a hand-seal with his right hand. A cloud of smoke erupted to his right...revealing an exact clone. The Jounin sure did love his doppelgangers. The key to fighting her was to even the odds. Close-range was her forte, obviously and she didn't hesitate. In those situations one needed to utilize their best mastery to compensate for their weaknesses. Multiple times had he been weary of long range assaults, but she didn't seem to focus primarily on that. Best assume the worst, however.

The woman immediately started moving once more. The clone immediately jumped backwards a good five meters itself. This time she was zig-zagging her way towards him. It was quick, spontaneous and hard to follow in general. Hopefully those two needles that struck her leg would wear in soon. Since they weren't real needles, they'd turn back into a their original state; black vapor. That'd leave more open wounds, blood flow and in the long term...bleeding out. Currently she was only hit by a few and two stuck into her leg. She'd be alright for now, so he still needed to keep her on edge. The flow was on his side now and it was time to get moving. Takumi rushed forward quickly to meet her charge. If she wanted to drive it home, so would he. He would meet every step of his opponents confidently. Both him and his clone were ready to fight. His clone immediately formulated seals, and the original followed suit; making one with his left hand. Luckily for them, their hands were always usually stuffed in those coat pockets. The shinobi trained in the art of ninjutsu for most his life. His specialty was making single handed seals. Being diverse, bendable and durable. Stealthy, hidden and abrupt methods. To beat someone unpredictable you needed to play the same game. This woman was going to die!

He'd stay on defensive and supplementary now. He needed to weaken her, break her and bend the will of this shinobi. His eyes traced back and forth as she whipped side-to-side. What was she about to do? Time for him to be analytical. Takumi was going to dance her dance and make her focus on both. That leg work was going to make wounds worse, if she continued to exert pressure on her arm...it would be worse. //Keep going...keep going...// his voice eagerly urged his inner wants. He was on the edge of his toes; excited.

NAME: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General]
ELEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION:
Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, as well as their kekkei genkai. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME

One, two, three… She counted the distance she covered slowly as she sped towards him. Each jump was made swiftly, with all the force and precision she could muster. Each took a small toll on her leg, and she could feel the blood pooling against her sandal. This small injury would slowly sap the strength in her limb. But the pain was nothing she couldn’t handle. Her body had taken far more excruciating damage and survived. A few puncture wounds were nothing to her. The distance between the two was slowly closing. It was almost time to try showing her hand.

Of course, the unexpected happened. Instead of locking her in place or trying to force her back with another mid-range technique, he took to running at her. The blue scars on her face pulled slightly, revealing themselves above her large collar as she grinned. Did he seriously want to try and fight her head on? A foolish mistake. Then again, the man was methodic about his actions. It was very unlikely that he hadn’t thought this through.

In a puff of smoke another clone appeared beside him. Unlike the previous one, however, this one was not made of earth. She’d have to be careful of it… Fine, he wanted to play a game of tricks then she’d show him one of her own. Not an amazing ability or anything, but it tends to work well in a pinch. At a distance of about a few meters, she began to make her move. Forming a few hand-seals as she landed on her left-hand foot, she focused her chakra just above her tanned forehead. Beads of sweat rolled down from her hairline and settled against her eyebrows as a flash of blinding white light filled the area.

Ten, nine, eight… The seconds ticked down as she kicked off with extreme force, closing the gap between her and the blue-eyed Takumi in a second. Seven, six, five… Another weaving of hand-seals and she was prepped. Four, three, two… All she needed now was just a single touch. Just a brief moment. One… Her arm jutted forward, hand outstretched so that her attack resembled that of a palm slap (akin to that of the technique she used earlier), attempting to touch his body even if only slightly. The target: The torso. It was the easiest of areas to target on their body, given the relative size.

The jutsu she had used was one of her most interesting. Provided she managed to touch him, he wouldn’t even be able to notice its effects until the explosion was detonated. It would certainly be a fun ride from here on out… Close combat was HER specialty and if he wanted to try and fight her there, by all means let him.

NAME: Raiton: Senkō Mosu [Lightning Release: Flash Flare]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Raiton
DESCRIPTION:
The user will perform the needed Handsigns and focus Raiton chakra to a single point above the forehead to cause an instant flash of light to be produced that can blind anyone directly staring at the point of origin for about ten Seconds. This is a great tactical move for those attempting an escape.

NAME: Nagabiku tatchi [Lingering Touch]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Bakuton
DESCRIPTION:
Same principle as the Fleeting Touch; the user has to touch the opponent, but will this time place a more concentrated amount of chakra on their opponent and detonate it at will.
The results of this explosion are more dangerous, as the zone that it affects is smaller, but also more vulnerable: it is usual for the user to aim for vital points or joints, so to stop the enemy from advancing any further in battle. The explosion could break joints or cause serious damage with the flesh, not only burning it, but also disrupting veins and organs under it from the impact, possibly causing internal bleeding. If used on the head, it could cause concussions as well as loss of sight or hearing if used around those zones.

//Calm...// the Jounin's mind reminded him as the flash occured. It was tricky indeed, but the clone had already been preparing for the next step. Regardless, it was time to initiate the next phase. The seconds had been counting down as the distance closed between. They were all shuffling different methods, and the Jounin's eyes had been locked on two things. One it wasn't necessarily her eyes, but her body. He was going to dodge, and had an idea of where to go next. That's all. The thing was if he was blinded, he couldn't really escape what he didn't see. A single hand seal was formed to activate Kankaku, the spread out fog still pulsated with life and allowed him to detect her once more. That's when he removed his hands, going with the look of being blind and mentally taking note.

Three, two, one....
Three, two, one....
They both counted in unison as the interval soon ran up. The woman's palm was extended to meet the chest of the Jounin. That's when in the nick of time, the second phase of his combo attack came into play. The clone finished it's seal, flickering quickly into a intense agility race to his destination. Where?

Right next to Takumi the clone seemed to reappear, cutting in front and charging head first toward the attacker. It was important to be in the nick of time, but since he was blinded the attack attempt turned to a defensive one. It halted it's foot, skidding in front and it's chest was tapped firmly by her strike. The clones face was filled with a ecstatic smile. It was big toothy grin, it's arms snapping in using it's hands to try an clamp down on her forearm. He had a tendency to feel a bit happy at testing his fate; sadistic mindset none-the-less.

Just in that moment the original extended his left hand, released a medium-sized amount of chakra through his forearm. It quickly released from his hand, turning into a cyclone of wind that took a form. It molded into the shape of a large demonic claw. It extended forth with intense force, the wind pressure was tremendous. It pushed against the back of the clone harshly, forcing it to explode in a cloud of smoke and the fingers were aiming to clamp anything in that area. That included his opponent too. The key was to sacrifice the clone, using it to block and then trap the woman with the enclosing claw-like fingers. Since the clone busted, it returned all the remaining chakra to the Jounin once more. The shinobi was going to give this everything he could, as long as it was going to work. He could sense her, feel her and detect her location in the fog. That was the aim of the true element of surprise. Her intention the whole time had been to blind him. During that misconception, he had the element of surprise...the clone wasn't the one to be worried about....it was the man that "seemed" blind, but wasn't at all.

NAME: Jūha Reppū Shō [Beast Tearing Gale Palm]
RANK: A
CHAKRA USAGE : Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fūton
DESCRIPTION:
This technique is somewhat of an enhanced version of the Beast Tearing Palm. It uses chakra to infuse with and condense a mass amount of wind-chakra to form a massive demonic-like claw extending from the user's hand to strike and grab a target, as well as deflect any weapon or attack. Depending on its use, the user can manipulate the size and length of the claw to attack and defend at any range. In addition to making it a deadly weapon, the extending claw also carries tremendous force that can devastate anything in its path without affecting the user, making it useful for dislodging solid and heavy objects.

SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME

Just as she was about to make contact with her enemy, Takumi’s clone sprung to life. In a puff of smoke it reappeared, deftly taking up a position in front of the real Takumi. With that absurd speed, there wasn’t time for Amaterasu to react in a quick enough fashion. Her hand gently tapped upon the chest of the clone. With a wild, and admittedly creepy, smirk the clone reached out and swiftly attempted to grasp hold of her arm. With the forward momentum she had just had, pulling back now was nigh impossible to do; even for one so in tune with her body, she had her physical limitations. The vice-like grip seized her forearm, trapping her in close range of the clone. She could feel his fingers digging into her exposed flesh. Tugging briefly, in a quick attempt to remove herself from the situation, resulted only in his clone’s grip tightening. There was no escape as of this moment. She was stuck, hand still pressed against the clone’s chest.

A look of pure bewilderment spread across her face. He had taken her for a fool. He had tricked her yet again. That seemed to be his modus operandi, much to her continued annoyance. That and dodging everything she attempted. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t factor in that the tap was just part of her attack. The explosion would come next. Or so, at the very least, she had thought…

From behind the clone, the real Takumi deftly weaved more signs. He hadn’t been blinded at all? How? How in the world did he manage to dodge a flash of light? Her bewildered look became one of direct and absolute shock. She didn’t know how to react. Everything she’s thrown at him, he’s managed to easily avoid. How in the world would she be able to fight him like this? But now wasn’t the time to be self-doubting and pitying her situation. He was, yet again, making a move. Finishing his signs in a flash, Takumi’s arm thrust forward. Chakra spread out around it, forcing a cyclone of wind out from his hand. This cyclone molded itself into the shape of some kind of beast-like claw. She could tell that the attack would be bad to get caught up in, to say the least.

The clawed hand pierced through the back of his clone in an instant. Before she could even use her explosions to break away, the clone puffed into a cloud of smoke and she was freed. Reeling, she backpedaled as swiftly as she could. She whipped her arm away as she attempted to increase the distance between the two. Unfortunately, his chakra-imbued wind-claw moved more quickly than she could stumble backwards. As it came closer to her still partially outstretched hand, the wind whipping about around it began to cut at her hand. Slashing across her hand in various places, it was as if she had stuck her hand in a blender. Predicting the spot she’d get cut was impossible, and dodging was difficult. With her feet more firmly planted on the ground, she gave a great kick off from the ground. Increasing the distance between the two another 10 meters.

As she landed, she glared angrily at her opponent. "That’s not nice, Blue, yo. Not re-spect-ful.” She spat, teeth clenched. She had begun to accumulate an assortment of injuries. While the blood flow from the puncture wound on her leg had lessened, it still ran gently down her leg. The wound in her arm was in nearly the same situation. Blood gently trickled down the side of her forearm and dripped occasionally to the ground. And now… She gave a brief look at her left hand before returning her gaze to her opponent. It had been sliced cleanly in multiple spots. Blood flowed from it, pooling on the ground below her. She was used to the pain of battle, and this wouldn’t really slow her much, but her hand-seals would be slower.

So now what… What could she do now? If she closed the gap, he’d use dirty tricks. If she kept the distance, he’d try to lock her in place or trap her in some other fashion. So… Aww, fuck it. She wasn’t going to waste more time trying to think about what to do. For now, she’d simply wait for him to make another move. He still had that annoying wind-claw of his. If she wanted to close the gap and attempt to attack, she at the least has to wait until he dispersed it.
