Ōnakayama Miyo The Mercurial Maiden of Sunagakure Miyo nodded at her sister and with a subtle fwip-sound she plucks a small scroll from her belt. "Well, they are canines.” She adds a shrug as she unfurls the thing and pricks her thumb on a small needle-point on the scroll casing. "They are hunters, assassins, and have some of the best noses for tracking in the world – or so they say.” She plaps her thumb onto the scroll and completes the summoning contract, causing an eruption of smoke as the three, large, humanoid canine entities were transported through space and time by weird ninja-wizard magic that no one could really explain. However, as the smoke cleared, Haruki, Kagiri, and Takahiro dropped to a knee before Miyo. "Lady Miyo,” Takahiro greeted. "It has been too long.” "It’s been… maybe a week.” Miyo replied. "It has been too long.” Takahiro reiterated with extra emphasis, causing Miyo to roll her eyes. "We need your assistance. There are four individuals here, yet another was here recently. According to my lovely sister here, the scent of the fifth still lingers, but is too faint for her to follow. We’d like to know if you can.” The canines traded glances, and then sniffed at the air; Haruki is the one to speak up. "I smell many things, not all of which are pleasant. But another does stand out.” "As long as what we smell is the one you seek, then we shall find them.” Kagiri confirmed. Miyo turned to Arashi and smiled. "They are kind of like your dogs, so you should get along with them.” Except they are totally not like the dogs that Arashi calls friends!

Looking over in the direction of her sister, Arashi would then shift her attention to the trio, a calm expression resting over her face before she allowed a smile to cross her lips before kneeling down and resting her arms upon her elbows upon her knees. It wasn't the first time she had seen a summoned beast, though it was certainly a first in witnessing those related to that of the Oonakayama Clan. It made her wonder just how they had established themselves with the creatures? Was it as a means to pay a debt? Or was it simply out of loyalty? Maybe that was a question for another day. For now, Arashi had to get these guys on the right trail, prompting her to hold up one finger as she continued to speak. "Hi guys...anyway...the scent that we need to look out for has a faint odor. Its sandy, naturally, but there was also the smallest hint of ash as well. I wasn't sure about it at first, and that was why I knew the moment that we came back here that this Etisuko wasn't the one in which we talked to before. In fact, he smells more like he belongs here than the other one...also...there's a good chance that you might also detect hints of iron as well..." In saying this, the girl would look over toward Miyo as she continued to hold her calm expression. "I figure if this guy is tryin to get at the machine, he likely had already been experimenting with trying to replicate Fudo's blueprints...probably even has bits of minerals on him as well...traces of gold dust..." This was as much as the teen had to go on, rising back up as she then crossed her arms over her chest. "They have to still be somewhere in the area, probably hiding in the complex...we can split up and hope to run into him, but watch out for him...he's already killed one person today..." Ōnakayama Miyo The Mercurial Maiden of Sunagakure Miyo just side-eyes Arashi when she mentions having a hard time believing something, then gives a slight shake of her head. Miyo definitely wasn’t in the frame of mind to have a chat about trust or anything like that. However, on the other hand, the trio of dingos listened intently to what Arashi had to say. Each seemed to pick up on the way she was explaining the scent they’d be following and when done, they confirmed they understood with affirmative nods. "We shall do our utmost.” Takahiro replied. Each performed a style of salute before departing. Once they pick up a trail, as long as one doesn’t go out of their way to hide it, it becomes very difficult to escape them. Miyo was confident in their abilities as she had used them for such numerous times over the years with resounding success, and she didn’t have any doubt they could handle this. With them gone, she turned to Arashi. "What shall we do in the meantime?”

"In light of what I have been told by Fudo, this..device...was to be used sparingly...it would not have become a danger to anyone had this been the case..." Arashi would cross her arms, eyes rolling to the side before shaking her head. "When it comes to gold, I doubt that highly..." "You imagine the worst of people simply due to the nature of the situation...your clan would gain far greater respect for having ended a line of poverty, and even bring the village back from the brink...is that not something that everyone would gain from?" ------------------ With the four in conversation, the dingos hunt would take then through the compound, rapidly taking in the scent of their prey as it appeared that they were closing in on their target. Masked with another disguise, it would do little to prevent them from finding the individual. Of course, that would mean very little if their target decided to strike. As they drew in closer, a sudden flash would cut their path from the release of a bright light. From there, a crash would follow as something seemed to burst through a nearby window. Having taken to the streets, the individual would proceed to make their way around to the other part of the complex, their appearance now that of a young woman. Though whether or not that were their identity remained to be seen. Ōnakayama Miyo The Mercurial Maiden of Sunagakure Miyo didn’t get involved in the conversation right away. Scolding Fudo and figuring out how to punish him for the transgressions, however minor they may have been, was not something she felt needed to be weighed in on. There was no doubt he’d face some sort of consequences, but what they were was not up to her, it likely would be up to the clan, as well as whomever presided over judicial matters. However, being the Eitsuko was one of their elders, his opinion mattered greatly in what would likely result from it, thus when he began attempting to justifying it, Miyo held up a hand. "Intentions do not matter.” She stated flatly. "The fact that it can be abused means that it will be abused. Humans have done so since the beginning of time. So, while you may wish to use it to help the poor, it may be used for that sparingly, and for a time, but it will inevitably fall into the wrongs hands.” She narrows her eyes at Eitsuko. "Remember: power and wealth… they corrupt. And people are very susceptible to both.” "Now, we have other things to worry about, so I suggest we not waste our time on hypotheticals, and focus more on the task at hand.” Miyo added, clearly intent on shutting the conversations down to reduce tensions. ------- For the trio, the hunt went well. They are swift, especially compared to someone attempting to maintain a low profile, so catching up to their target is not difficult. Even hiding their appearance is not sufficient to fool them, as they do not need their eyes to follow, but perhaps only identify the target in the end. However, they stick out, so their target clearly noticed they were being pursued. As the flash of light streaks across the street, the Dingos come to an abrupt halt, preparing to defend themselves, but their target broke through a window and disappeared from sight again. They traded glances, and then began their pursuit anew. Soon, they would report back, but for now, they intended to corner their target, or at least do their best.

Though Arashi was more than willing to keep this debate going, it appeared that Miyo was nipping it in the bud, prompting both individuals to go silent. Her arms crossing her chest, she'd then close her eyes before pacing toward the window,looking down as she could now see the Dingos having begun to move in upon a moving target within the alley. It was certainly starting to look like an intense chase, leading to the short haired female to frown as she began to make her way out the door. "Looks like your friends have them..." Arashi would began to descent out into the streets, her eyes scanning the area to make sure that it was at least less crowded than before. Whatever would happen next, the last thing that was needed was collateral damage or people getting hurt. But it appeared that any chance of escape for the murderer had been denied, leading to Arashi coming out behind the creatures as she awaited Miyo's arrival. They certainly looked more like a bandit than a murderer, a cloaked physique with gloved hands. Their boots were closed tone, meaning they likely had to have done much travel on foot. Still, she could see neither no headband or signs of alliance to any foreign nations. But this person, long haired and all, smelled of the sea to say the least. "Not exactly the best move sticking around after sendin us off..." "A minor mistake...the moment it appeared that you were distracted, my attempt to deal with the machine were altered upon finding the boy unconscious. "So, I admit, I am a bit curious about who you are.” Miyo did not recognize this individual. She had apparently orchestrated thing entire plan and enacted it herself, only for it to run afoul of others going for the same thing. It was a bit amusing to Miyo, and she could not help but grin at the thought of these would-be criminals competing over one thing and getting each other apprehended by accident. "At this point, your little scheme is at an end.” Miyo confirms. "I’m sure Arashi here will be more than happy to escort you to your future home in one of the cells after we clear this up with you.”

There were enough people in the village that knew Arashi by that name that it wasn't a shock that she'd be called out by it. But what was surprising was that she seemed to be directing her venom directly at her. Not that it mattered...There were more than enough people in this village that blamed her for something, and Arashi was doing her best not to let it get to her. She couldn't help everyone...that was the truth of it all...a harsh truth...but one that she had to learn... "Oh? No response...no reaction from the bitch that took my father!! You killed in him!! You killed him and he was only doing his job!!! The Oonakayama clan is tainted with his blood, and yet your father did nothing!! You have no regret in your heart! No sympathy!! So why should I have any for your family!?" Arashi would remain silent, her stare holding as she crossed her arms over her chest, eyes narrowed before she looked to the side. "You don't even remember him do you!? DO YOU!? He was on guard one night when you...decided to release your creature upon the village! He tried to talk you down...speak to you! But you choked him out! Cut the air from his lungs and killed him!! You ruined my father...my family! Small as we are! We had to provide for ourselves! So we looked for options! However, when the angry rant finished, she rolled her eyes. Clearly, she wasn’t up for any of that, and merely listening to someone trash-talk her sister right in front of her was almost enough to make her turn their brain to a significantly less useless mush. "Alright, enough storytime.” Miyo replies a she reaches down and takes hold of the woman by the collar to hoist her up. "There will be plenty of time to tell your sob stories to your new friends in your group therapy and rehabilitation sessions.” She just sort of strong-arms the lady around a bit, "Now, we’re going to go and put you some place you can really sit and think about how important revenge is for you, because if it is all that motivates you, just keep in mind if everyone was out killing for revenge we’d be at war all the time – oh wait, that sounds familiar…” Miyo just shakes her head. Arashi would watch as the woman continued to speak, not saying a word as the verbal abuse was not soemthing that she enjoyed, but was used to by now. Though in truth, if it hadn't been for the surprising reaction of Miyo, Arashi might had said something herself and been just as harsh in her verbal retort. Though perhaps it was just strange that she would be so instant in her defense of her, and also in the fact that this woman had done something that could have endangered all of them. What followed thing was the typical response to any investigation made within the village. Once reports had been made, and each party reviewed, the rest was up to those in higher positions of authority. Meaning that by all intensive purposes, the job of the two females was done. As Arashi watched the woman being taking away, now standing outside the complex, she'd look over toward Miyo with a blank expression, soon finding her cheeks turning red as she rested her hands in her pockets. "Ya know? I could have totally handled that myself....ya didn't need to stand up for me like that..Its not like I'm still nine..." Raising her brow, she'd then allow her hand to glide through her short brunette strands, looking off to the side as she released a breath. "Still..thanks..." As she began to stretch up her arms, allowing her body to move upward, her back would once again rest against the wall behind it, allowing her to let her arms hang at her side while looking around. People like her want to say that no one wants you around, and that you’re more a menace than anything else. Family or not, I don’t believe that to be true in the least.” She turns slightly and smiles reassuringly at Arashi. Her sister made a good point, though. Making gold was not an easy feat. For generations, Miyo’s biological family had mined gold throughout the region, along with numerous other metals, which ended in their unfortunate demise and inevitably passed on to Miyo, herself. "I’m not sure if them failing in that is a good thing or not. Gold is a very useful metal, but its value remains high. It is so valuable because it is rare and rather difficult to locate, but if there were more, it would be more affordable and more widely accessible. Bit of a double-edged sword on that one. Benefit one way, but not another, or turn it around entirely. Unfortunately, I think their plan was doomed to fail from the start.” Miyo let out a long sigh. "So… what now?”

"When ya say it like that...makes sense...it's the very reason why us having gold is so important! It's basically what helps to keep Sunagakure and all of Kaze no Kuni on the map. With it being in regular supply, it wouldn't really do much for our economy would it?" Tapping her finger against her cheek, Arashi would seem to recognize the importance of keeping the supply limited, though she did kinda get why someone would really want to have it to owe. It's wealth was impossible to ignore, even if it might do more harm than good. Still, it seems that her sister had a feeling that from the very start, such a plan was doomed from the get-go, which was likely true. Couldn't really make a profit if your partners were all greedy. Not to mention when one of them was a cold-blooded killer. Moment music But all in all, it had been a good way to end a long day of walking the area and keeping patrol. Arashi had some food in mind, and a cool beverage, too. That was much less stressful in its own way. "Hmm… food does sound good. All this sleuthing made me a little hungry.” Miyo replied as Arashi stretched. She pushed herself away from the wall and stood next to her sister. "Maybe get some ice cream or smoothies or something to go. Head back home, hop in bed, and watch movies or something. How does that sound? I have some brand new, super comfy pajamas you could try out. You’d probably like them.”

I didn't get a second of peace in weeks thanks to those shorts!" Crossing her arms over her chest, Arashi would feel the blush rush to her face as she looked to the side. Honestly, flattering as it was to get that much attention, she didn't like the fact that most of it was just focused solely on her lower half. Fun as the night had been, it resulted in a lot of broken hearts, and limbs, across the village that week until they got the hint. "I'm down for movies and ice cream...but I got shorts and an tank top at home...I'm all good sis..you keep the fluffy slippers and nighty..." Ōnakayama Miyo The Mercurial Maiden of Sunagakure Miyo tipped her head. "Shorts?” Neither of them had worn shorts that night, that much was for sure. They had been in little more than corsets and thongs – full on cheeks out and all – unless there was another thing Arashi was thinking about that escaped Miyo’s mind. She sort of rolled that over in her head a few times and then furrowed her brown. "They are just pajamas… pants and like, long sleeved shirt. Do you not know what pajamas are?” Miyo chuckled faintly, but waved a hand. "Fine, tank tops and shorts it will be.” It amused Miyo, though, that Arashi thought so little of her offer. "What on earth do you even think I consider pajamas?” She tagged along with Arashi, thoroughly amused by her, but the conversation was going to turn soon enough. "The capital. About nine months or so of some… guard duty or something. Basically stand around and look pretty. I can handle that, for sure, but it sounds boring.”
