Asa Yuki Hakurei Nakajima Taro Imagawa Takumi Nakajima Ryuunosuke

The body of the shinobi had few secrets left to uncover, but Hakurei still took the time to look over for any kind of identifying information. Eventually, he was able to find a small family crest branded into his clothes. It wouldn't reveal a specific name, but he would be able to cross reference and find his family more easily once the team returned home.

The subject moved on to the door, particularly focusing on the opinions of the Nakajima. Eventually, with group input, Hakurei, Taro, and Takumi settled on the opinion that it was likely that the door was asking for a natural flame and a chakra flame. It seemed a decent enough idea to try.

Taro carried the materials necessary to start a fire, so he was able to utilize those tools to make a natural flame. Then, one of the Nakajima would be able to place their hand over the other symbol carved into the ice. The ice melted away around the edges of the symbols to form two circles, which began to twist under the chakra's influence.

There was a grand rumbling and then the doors slowly slid open, easily. As if not stuck with time and recently opened. The travelers had passed through here.

The cavern beyond was still clearly made of ice, but more... purposeful. Man-shaped, though not manmade. The ice had a shiny and polished surface, as though melted back by flames ages ago, and had swirls of ash baked into it.

It seemed like they were beginning to get closer to the heart of this.

Eventually, they entered a cavern in the ice that was large. It should have been dark, but something in the center was glowing from within, casting the walls in a deep red-amber.

It was difficult to make out the room, but as their eyes adjusted, they realized this may be the tomb. There were earthly belongings laid out, as though someone had spent their final days here.

As they approached the central feature of the room, they realized...

The structure at the center was made of black ice. It seemed to grow up from the floor, meeting in a peak.

And at the center. That glowing core.

Emiri was there.

Her form barely showed through the black ice, but she was there, insulated with fire.

In the black ice there were also the bodies of the other shinobi who had travelled with her. Preserved. Dead from the horrible cold, their skin obviously blue under the white light.

But she was alive. She had to be.

There she was; trapped but alive. It was the best case scenario. Almost hard to believe but if this were a genjutsu, the seal on Hakurei’s forehead would alert him. [break][break] How had she been trapped in ice? Wasn't this the tomb of Katon master? Perhaps he had set up some sort of Fujitsu trap... If that were the case, they could easily fall to the same fate without caution. Hakurei would look at the floor and ceiling, hoping to spot any kind of trap before approaching the center of the room. [break][break] Why did it have to be ice? And why had it turned black like that? He wondered. Did it change color from the heat within or from the smoke? He couldn't tell. If it wasn't a genjutsu and it wasn't a trap, the only other possibility Hakurei could imagine was that someone had attacked them. [break][break] Someone strong, who could utilize ice, and had something to gain from Emiri being taken out of the picture. Hakurei did not want to think about that. It led him to dark places. [break][break] It had to have been a trap. Something left long ago and forgotten until these grave robbers appeared. If he didn't see any reason not to, he would approach the column of ice that Emiri was inside and attempt to break it with a solid punch. He figured it must be pretty strong to contain Emiri Nakajima for so long so he’d use his most powerful technique.

[Asa]

Now this.... This was unexpected. 

There was the wayward fire sorcerer, encased in a type of ice that Asa had never seen in all of her days on the tundra. A certain form of dread she could not name took up a place in her heart. Her eyes darted around the room, survivalist wariness and primal fear taking over her mind. This was not how these things worked. Something was very wrong. 

While Yuki Hakurei called out to prevent the Nakajima from charging in, Asa also took heed of his warning. She crossed her fingers in front of her eye, unlocking the seal in her demonic eye, which would allow her to see the whole area for what it was. If this was a den of those beasts, then more would be coming, if this wasn't the heart of the nest. 

Once her eye was unlocked, Asa's scythes were in her hands, ready to lash out at any threat to her person. Nakajima Emiri was alive, but the rest of her team were dead. Asa would not join them. She would live through this, and she would be ready for any threats that were to come her way. 

She had to be.

[Nakajima Ryuunosuke]

I'm gonna watch it burn

The Nakajima rolled his eyes at the taciturn boy's idea. It can't be that easy, why isn't some door already open then. The Nakajima mentally retorted, Emiri wasn't dumb, she'd have whatever this is unlocked and open, so why are they just staring at a wall. That was his thoughts until the Imagawa and Taro committed and went through the idea, Ryuunosuke assured his sword was sheathed before taking a moment to cross his arms. Anger swelling when they opened it, but upon seeing it open, the blue-flamed Nakajima froze in place.

There she was... he doesn't know how but there she was. "Emiri?" Encased in black looking ice, the Chūnin could feel his heart in his throat as he looked at the center. "E-E-Emir... i." He didn't know how to react, hell, he didn't know where to start. Hate, love, respect, distain, belief, and disgust, all his emotions were swelling as much as the raging fires in his soul. His eyes looked over her figure, what once was a proud, intelligent one, laid one frozen in time; her features were indistinguishable but usually being frozen in ice to the degree usually meant one thing...

She's dead.

"No... You cant! You can't be!" Ryuunosuke yelled as he attempted to run at the center ice. He was stopped by Hakurei, telling him to wait. "She's my family! I have every right! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" The Nakajima yelled as he pushed against Hakurei's arm, tears glossed over his eyes as he began pushing even harder, ripping out of his earthly skin into full cremation mode, passing past and maybe burning his arm, depends on how he can take the heat. The ball of flaming light rushed to the center ice, delivering a cremated punch before assuming back to his flame body.

"EMIRI!!!" The angered, frustrated, annoyed, anguished Nakajima smashed more fists of fire at the ice. Fuck this, I'll melt it to get to her! "Emiri, you can't be dead!! WAKE UP!" Ryuunosuke called out as he placed his hands on the ice, trying his best to melt the case. "Emiri you can't... You can't!" Memories of training, of fighting, of playing with his cousin flickered through his mind. He didn't even get to say goodbye. He was damned if he was going to wait here for an all clear or something else. This was his fucking cousin who had been missing for months, he was determined to force his way through the ice above anything else.

"You can't be dead!!! WAKE UP!! EMIRI!"

SPECIAL ABILITIES USED:
Soldier-boy Blue Flame of the Nakajima
As a Nakajima, Ryuunosuke has the honor of learning the clan hijutsu' Haini no Jutsu [Cremation Technique], in doing so, he displayed flames in the color of Blue. Aided by using Katon Jutsus in combat during the use of [Cremation Technique] had his chakra fuse with flames he created. Shifting the aesthetics of red to blue flames for all Nakajima/Katon Jutsus. As a result, he is a Nakajima of the Blue Flame.

Heightened Chakra Reserves
If Ryuunosuke knows one true strategy, it's to completely overwhelm his opponents. Through extensive training with his Nakajima Hijutsu, Ryuunosuke unlocked his true potential in chakra reserves, giving him extra fuel to fan his flames. His chakra reserves relationally doubled, meaning whatever his chakra level is at genin is doubled; heightening his reserves beyond other shinobi of similar skill compared to Ryuunosuke.


Blue Inferno
As a natural occurrence, blue fire is hotter in temperature compared to red and orange flames. Burns for Ryuunosuke up a degree of severity, 2nd-degree burn turn into third degrees, and so on. This temperature shift allows Ryuunosuke to burn open or cauterize wounds to unleash brutal blue infernos.

Atomic Spiral
Chakra is fuel and for Nakajimas, fuel is fire. Tapping into his increased reserves, Ryuunosuke's flames are entirely fed chakra, requiring no oxygen that powers the flames on his body while using the Cremation Technique. Due to utilizing his chakra reserves, the Nakajima's flames intensity boarders unnatural and the substance needed lacks any earthly component besides pure chakra. Because of this, his base cremation ability intensifies his flames to merely appear to go supernova, turning up the heat around him to substantially increase in temperature, melting snow and ice around him in a 10-meter radius (Distance is Set and will not increase with the Intense heat SA). Unlike most fire jutsus, Ryuunosuke's Cremation technique won't go out submerged underwater. Being sustained solely by chakra does allow the flames to exist in little to no oxygen areas, allowing his Cremation body to exist while submerged in water. This level of mastery within a Blue Flame is indicated by a blue-violet gradient hue, overwriting the complete blue aesthetic that a typical Blue Flame has on both clan-specific and universal Katon. Appearing as a spiral of multiple colors, the Nakajima's flames exist on another level, but where he stands on the totem pole is now unknown. The drawbacks to this technique being that it limits the user to using only Katon or non-elemental jutsus. It also makes the user more susceptible to Fuuton jutsu, which feeds the fire and forces the user to burn through their chakra, with powerful Fuuton attacks causing the body to detonate and expel a massive amount of chakra.

[Nakajima Taro]

Uncertain of his own words, there'd be little hope in their plan. A message roughly translated into a riddle or code he'd never seen. Of course he would be wrong, but they'd go along with the two fires. To his surprise it'd work and open up a door. "Seems the violet flames have gotten to your head, Ryuu that was an easy endeavor." Taro would tease feeling he'd proven himself to be the smarter Nakajima. Intelligence had never been something Taro boasted, but he loosely felt he earned this one. Even though it hadn't truly been his resolution.

The doorway took them to an oddly 'lit' chamber. A center piece glowing a bright red hue. Taro didn't look to the light directly, but instead attempted to survey the rest of the room for enemies. His attention quickly though shifted as Ryuunosuke called out to Emiri. It'd force Taro to look harder and see their old leader locked in a block of ice. Hakurei would tell them to wait, which was kind of fine for the red eyed shinobi. If she was trapped alive they probably were able to save her in time. However this could of been a shinobi or natural trap.

A concern which Ryuunosuke didn't seem to grasp or care about. He would use his flame body to force himself past Hakurei, but two couldplay the fire game. In an attempt to prevent a trap going off or Ryuunosuke freezing himself, Taro would rocket himself off around the group. Attempting to drop kick a cremated foot upon his clan member, to interrupt his motion.

"Stop it! I wanna free her too, but if the ice could just be melted Emiri wouldn't be trapped. Hold your horses and let the ice man have a shot here." Taro would attempt to hold back Ryuunosuke and deliver this message, but he wouldn't risk getting to close to the black ice and maybe being eaten up by it.

[Imagawa Takumi]

It gave Takumi a small sense of satisfaction when the way forward became clear, their solution to the strange riddle proving to be correct. He arched an eyebrow at Taro's comment towards his clanmate, noting that it was Hakurei who had laid the foundations of their progress. The Imagawa was tempted to make a snippy remark of his own to keep Taro's head from getting too high in the clouds, though he ultimately held his tongue. Pressing on, Takumi couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as they entered the final cavern, one hand instinctively hovering closer to one of the folded fuma shuriken attached to his back, and the hand completing the grasp once the sight before them was fully revealed. His weapon was promptly brought to bear before him as most of the rest investigated the frozen woman in the ice.

Hakurei attempted to pre-emptively stop any rash movements, though it was for naught, with Ryuunosuke rushing emotionally forward to pound at the black ice and Taro looking to intercept. Like Asa, however, Takumi himself remained in place, senses on full alert for the inevitable response that the hot-headed Nakajima's actions would provoke. The rest of the corpses littered within the black ice were proof that they hadn't simply keeled over and died, something was about to happen, and Takumi was determined not to suffer the same fate.

Yuki Hakurei Nakajima Taro Imagawa Takumi Nakajima Ryuunosuke

Ryuunosuke burst forward despite Hakurei's warnings, attempting to bash against the ice with a flaming fist. Taro moved quickly, eager to intercept and prevent anything awful from unfolding. It was a narrow push. He managed to divert Ryuunosuke's course mere inches from the prison of ice. And as they held their flaming bodies nearer to the crystalline structure beside them, they noticed something strange.

The heat from their attacks first began to melt the ice, but it froze again soon after. And the ice looked sleeker and shinier, almost like a flat sheet of obsidian. Tempered. The two Nakajima should've realized something important in that moment.

Heat only made the ice stronger.

It was like the ice of the black castle. With every melting, it was reforged into something sturdier. Harder to break. Attempting to melt it down by traditional means would only make it harder to free Emiri from her confines. It also revealed an important realization to them.

Every second Emiri remained trapped within the ice, it was becoming harder to free her.

It seemed like more physical means would be necessary to get through the ice. Maybe leaving Hakurei to the technique he was warming up for would be the better idea after all. Or maybe Ryuunosuke would let emotion steer him again.

Meanwhile, Taro and Asa were preparing for a possible clash to begin. Asa's eye turned white once more as she tried to survey their surroundings. As she looked around, there was nothing of concern. Then something in her peripheral caught her attention and she looked down at the ground below. Tunnel. And within them-

"There is something below us," she warned.

Almost on cue, the earth beneath them all rumbled. Asa dodged to the side just as a cavernous maw shredded through the cave beneath her feet.

From the hole emerged a slithering form armored with thick, black carapace. Frills, icy blue, alongside its razor jaws twitched and shuddered as it shook the ice from its head.

[Nakajima Ryuunosuke]

I'm gonna watch it burn

The Chūnin was close, he reached for the black ice encasing Emiri then he was stumbled, it seemed Taro was indeed the stopper of this, literally knocking Ryuunosuke to his senses and sprouting what resembled reasonable. He deactivated his cremation jutsu, but eyes remained on the centerpiece, it looked as if the combined heat did seem to melt the ice if only a fragment before it looked like it regenerated just as quickly? It looked shinier but that was all the Blue Flame could see, he didn't realize it meant the ice was stronger, how could he have, ice was ice, or it was supposed to be. He looked back at Taro who finished by saying they should let Hakurei deal with it. Reluctantly, Ryuunosuke nodded in agreement before moving to let the Yuki do Yuki things. Taro making actual sense? What sort of backward universe did we walk into?

Only a little time passed before Asa gave another recon warning. Again? Wha- Before the Chūnin could mentally complain, a creature ripped from the ice below her, Asa dodged at the last moment and whatever came up looked definitely bigger than the things before. A black carapace but what looked like blue frills. "Hakurei, if your arm is still good, deal with ice, we got this..." At least, I think we got this. Ryuunosuke mentally added as he gripped his sword, drawing it from its sheath before pumping another spark of chakra to the blade.

"I think we found the queen as well." Ryuunosuke said as he concentrated his chakra. Not taking any chances with this one. Ryuunosuke thought as he weaved a series of seals before dragging his hand across the superheated blade, adding its own blue fire on top of the heated metal. "If it can dig through the ice, watch your feet." the Nakajima stated a shift of anger in his tone. Instead of charging like usual, he needed to observe this new enemy, People, he'll rush, this monstrosity, he'd opt for a more calculated approach.

The Chūnin was hesitant to use his cremation, he didn't want to melt any more of that ice than he already did. "Someone strike first, I wanna test something." The Chūnin stated, glancing at Taro. Better him than someone who could get hurt.

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user expels a jet of flame which can be manipulated to target multiple objects. The flame itself will not burn what it hits, but imbues the objects with fire which will burn unhindered until the chakra is used up. This can be used to give basic ninja weapons the power to easily burn targets with intense flames which can prove almost impossible to put out.

[Nakajima Taro]

Taro would doubt the words, he'd spoken and mentally was ready for a friendly fight. The ice though instantly refreezing was a solid visual sign the words of black sheep weren't baaah'd. There'd be no need for further adjustment or for some sort of debate. Instead the his cousin would merely command the best option to continue. It'd without fail bring a deep sigh of relief to the devil child.

The relief was less than short lived though, as they'd be alerted of an immanent attack. It didn't go for him and Ryuu, but instead went after the one most alert of it's presence. That was likely the best case option in the group, but he wouldn't let her be the one to keep that bugs focus. He'd immediately moves his hands to pull straps of his scroll holster off him. In this scenario and at this point it felt any tool he brought was meaningless and a hinderance to him. So instead he'd lose all the weight and constraints from his body.

As Ryuu turned to command Taro on what to do, the boy with a grin would be off. His hands performing a single hand seal, as his feet shifted to fire and with a powerful burst of flames, he'd rocket off towards the giant insect. Swerving side to side slightly as to make him a harder target, as well as keep the flow of his movement as smooth as possible. Jagged movements were a pain and often decreased too much usable momentum. This beast would certainly need a lot of momentum applied to strikes against it for them to work. At least that'd be Taro's guess by the exoskeleton of the creature.

If the creatures attention didn't shift to him, he'd attempt to shoot up from behind it. Get above it, then with all his force bring down a powerful rocket kick. Attempt to nails it's head into the ground if possible. However if it seemed the creature took immediate notice to him, he'd attempt to circle it and with a single hand-seal prepare his next jutsu as a further distraction spitting small fireballs for the creatures eyes, antenna or any bit that could miss construed as a nose or ears. Taro really didn't know all that much about bugs.

Yikes He Fire! #1
Taro as a member of the Nakajima clan, has been trained in the hijutsu known as cremation. This ability allows him to turn his body either fully or partially into fire and evade blows or propel his own. In the clan a color flame is usually gifted to each member by their cremations color, Taro however is a special case as his initial flame was seen as black. However after his chakra burn was sealed away, he's typically seen with red and orange flames in cremation. It isn't the color given to him exactly though, as it's known this is likely due to the seal. However inherent skills aside, Taro is incredibly skilled in using the cremation technique and utilizes it primarily with his taijutsu.

Swift As Hell #2
Using weighted scrolls to carry a bunch of typically useless equipment, Taro has managed to greatly improve his physical prowess. As one the weights are removed he's able to move much faster than the average shinobi and often uses this advantage to overwhelm those he's lured into a false sense of security. Though a large part of his effective tactic was ruined by showcasing it during the chuunin exams. It still however is a very important trait for a physical fighter to have, as many have resorted to such intense training these days.

Mastering only one element it's quite common to become increasingly good in that element. Often shinobi boost the size or characteristic of that element, Taro on the other hand had a far more clear focus. He enjoyed fighting close up, so to better imbue his cremation to his form of combat, Taro has improved the force behind all his Nakajima techniques. Allowing him easily twice the packed power in each fire enhanced punch, kick or step.

Typically when above the target the user will descend down to strike a point. During the descent the user will have or will suddenly turn their foot into fire with a partial cremation. Bursting the fire upwards to either side of the leg the user will speed up this descent, as the air naturally feeds into the flame at the end of the users leg. Converting the heightened flame back into a foot and dispersing the excess energy into downward motion. This hits with stone shattering force and intensely burns the spot it hits. The potential of this technique increases based on the height of the descent though, so where at a stool height drop would be merely a strong kick, a mile high dive-bomb could create quite the crater. Granted the users body could survive the force themselves.

Closing ones mouth and puckering their lips, the user will perform one hand seal. Upon creating the handseal the user will use partial cremation to turn their teeth into fire. Expelling air with chakra infused fire, the user will fire out small tooth sized pellets of fire. This fire hits at high speeds, but with little force. Rapidly fired though the strength of this jutsu comes from it's distracting nature and ability to ignite highly flammable objects quickly. The range of this technique is only twenty meters and the technique requires the user maintain the hand seal

[Imagawa Takumi]

Even while remaining alert, Takumi was paying attention to the group's efforts to free Emiri from her strange prison, and even his eyes grew just a bit wider at the shocking revelation. Flames and heat wouldn't be the solution to freeing the Nakajima, and so they'd most likely need to rely on Hakurei's expertise. Not that there wouldn't be anything for the rest of them to do in the meantime. They had the briefest of warning before yet another creature greeted the Yuki shinobi, bursting forth from the icy ground and attempting an attack on Asa.

Thankfully, she managed to evade the attack rather easily, but now it was time for their retaliation. The other Nakajima did nothing, stating that he'd like to test something. Takumi clicked his tongue in annoyance but didn't linger on it for long, there was a creature that needed killing. At the very least, Taro was already on the move, attempting to maneuver around to the backside of the beast and land an attack. Even if he failed, there was a good chance he was drawing its attention, perfect for a ranged combatant like Takumi.

The Imagawa's fingers were swiftly stuffed into his front pouches, withdrawing a shuriken in each hand and immediately thrown towards the creature. They spun with that signature touch of his, ensuring that they'd fly back to his position even if they didn't hit anything, but he was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Each shuriken was aimed for one of the creature's eyes, but Takumi wasn't planning on hitting the thing with plain ol' shuriken. As they traveled along their path, Takumi gave two distinct claps, each one signaling the instant enlargement of each of his shuriken.

He wasn’t sure what Ryuunosuke was thinking, or if he thought at all. This wasn’t the first time he’d had problems with the kid but he decided then that the hotheadedness of the Nakajima was a problem Lady Shuka should be informed of if they both made it home. [break][break] A ninja that couldn’t control themselves enough to follow a simple order was a danger to everyone around them. Hakurei exhaled through his nostrils and closed his eyes, trying his best to prevent this incident from escalating further despite his baser instincts screaming to lash out. As hard as he’d tried in the past, he just couldn’t work with Ryuunosuke. That was his thought at that moment. Fortunately, Nakajima Taro was there to prevent his kin from harming himself or causing more hardening of what was revealed to be black ice surrounding Emiri. Hakurei gave a nod of respect to Taro but his attention was quickly diverted towards Asa’s warning and the monstrosity that burst forth soon thereafter. [break][break] "I’m good.” Hakurei responded to Ryuu, shaking his arm out as he approached the center ice as he had intended to before. If the ice wouldn’t melt he’d have to break it. He pulled his arm back and jabbed forward with all the force he could muster behind his fist. Yuki Hakurei Nakajima Taro Imagawa Takumi Nakajima Ryuunosuke

The large creature focused its attentions, at first, on Asa, who continued to bait is focus as best she could, resisting attacks from its massive legs with the bracing of her scythe. This left the creature open to an attack by the tag-team of Taro and Takumi.

Taro managed to launch himself into the air and deliver a crushing kick to the head of the creature, driving down with immense force. The icy ground beneath the creature cracked slightly as it hit the earth, and its carapace appeared to do the same, at least slightly fragmenting. It seemed that this sort of concussive force, along with chakra, was able to do damage. But Taro could tell from that brief contact that this creature was tough.

With the head of the best briefly pinned by that scorching star fall, Takumi was given an opening to strike with his shuriken. He threw the two, enlarging them to create a viable threat to the massive beast. One struck the creature square in the eye. The centipede responded with a terrible, grating roar, flinging itself about. It managed to bat away the second shuriken, and thrashed, almost certainly sending Taro flying.

Opening its menacing jaws, the creature sent out a jet of flame towards Takumi. Those most familiar with Katon would recognize it as Himōfu, though it spread farther than any variant you had ever seen.



While his comrades focused their attentions on the massive centipede, Hakurei focused on Emiri, still encased in ice. He pulled his arm back and thrust it forward with incredible force, delivering a devastating blow to the brittle, frozen prison. The shockwave crashed through it, almost shattering the black ice like glass. It fell away around Emiri and allowed her to collapse to the floor. Unconscious, but alive.

Quickly, Kabuto dove in to recover Emiri, pulling her away from the chaos of the battle. Where she had fallen, Hakurei could see a scroll bound with red ribbon.

A creature evolved in underground caverns of volcanic ash, Sepa is quite familiar with heat and flame. He has learned to control it expertly, and the fire that he breathes from his maw can be particularly deadly. When he utilizes katon techniques, they not only burn hotter, but spread further. Any katon technique utilized by him can reach 1.5x the range described.

Hard Exoskeleton
As the main guardian of the group, Sepa has a particularly resistant and tough shell. His carapace is strong enough that most traditional blows will glance off him unless they're lucky enough to hit between his plating. In order to pierce his exoskeleton, chakra-enhanced strikes are absolutely required.

The user quickly causes a blanket of fire to spread across the ground in front of them, ejected from their mouth and covering an area around 20m directly in front of them. The flames are not intended to truly cause damage, but to force targets away from a particular area or create space and break ambushes.

[Nakajima Ryuunosuke]

I'm gonna watch it burn

It was quick, yet the Chūnin smiled as his teammates moved in for a teamed assault. It gave the Nakajima time to watch, analyze what his best options were. It was just a great coincidence that Asa was able to distract the creature enough for Taro to deliver his cremation blow. While all was cold, it was slightly concerning that the ice gave way alongside the creature's carapace. Either the whole room was fragile or just the ground it came from, made sense given that the insect-monster-thing broke through the ground with the greatest ease. Ryuunosuke registered the visuals of Takumi launching the shurikens, enlarging to make Fuma Shurikens look like a joke. The Blue Flame started weaving the long seals necessary to tear at his sword, bathing it in flames as he started pumping chakra into it. He didn't see the creature get back up nor knock at Taro. Ryuunosuke pumped even more Katon chakra into the hilt, adding even more danger to the weapon as the blue light irradiated under the violet and azure flames. "Taro, help the trench coat!"

Ryuunosuke would yell as his body once again burst into his cremation form. A few steps forward before the boy skated on fire at terrifying speeds. He glanced at his side as the creature had made a variation of something that looked like Himōfu, he was worried that the creature's flames were more harmful than a warning it was commonly used for. Eiher way it didn't look good for Trench Coat. Racing to the beast, the Nakajima lowered his burning sword to crack a powerful upswing meant for the groin, as he was skating though. It gave him a boost to leap in the air. Keeping his momentum going, the Nakajima aimed the blade at the crack Taro formed in a powerful, flipping downward strike.

If successful, the blade from hell effectively outright said no to the carapace. Holding onto the blade as he finished two extra seals, Ryuunosuke punched on top the crack, substantially weaker than Taro's but that was the intent before an intense burst of flames crashed the carapace, he doesn't believe he'd go anywhere soon considering how long he had to hold it but his personal motto of 'Burn Everything!' truly meant burning EVERYTHING.

SPECIAL ABILITIES USED:
Soldier-boy Blue Flame of the Nakajima
As a Nakajima, Ryuunosuke has the honor of learning the clan hijutsu' Haini no Jutsu [Cremation Technique], in doing so, he displayed flames in the color of Blue. Aided by using Katon Jutsus in combat during the use of [Cremation Technique] had his chakra fuse with flames he created. Shifting the aesthetics of red to blue flames for all Nakajima/Katon Jutsus. As a result, he is a Nakajima of the Blue Flame.

Heightened Chakra Reserves
If Ryuunosuke knows one true strategy, it's to completely overwhelm his opponents. Through extensive training with his Nakajima Hijutsu, Ryuunosuke unlocked his true potential in chakra reserves, giving him extra fuel to fan his flames. His chakra reserves relationally doubled, meaning whatever his chakra level is at genin is doubled; heightening his reserves beyond other shinobi of similar skill compared to Ryuunosuke.


Blue Inferno
As a natural occurrence, blue fire is hotter in temperature compared to red and orange flames. Burns for Ryuunosuke up a degree of severity, 2nd-degree burn turn into third degrees, and so on. This temperature shift allows Ryuunosuke to burn open or cauterize wounds to unleash brutal blue infernos.

Atomic Spiral
Chakra is fuel and for Nakajimas, fuel is fire. Tapping into his increased reserves, Ryuunosuke's flames are entirely fed chakra, requiring no oxygen that powers the flames on his body while using the Cremation Technique. Due to utilizing his chakra reserves, the Nakajima's flames intensity boarders unnatural and the substance needed lacks any earthly component besides pure chakra. Because of this, his base cremation ability intensifies his flames to merely appear to go supernova, turning up the heat around him to substantially increase in temperature, melting snow and ice around him in a 10-meter radius (Distance is Set and will not increase with the Intense heat SA). Unlike most fire jutsus, Ryuunosuke's Cremation technique won't go out submerged underwater. Being sustained solely by chakra does allow the flames to exist in little to no oxygen areas, allowing his Cremation body to exist while submerged in water. This level of mastery within a Blue Flame is indicated by a blue-violet gradient hue, overwriting the complete blue aesthetic that a typical Blue Flame has on both clan-specific and universal Katon. Appearing as a spiral of multiple colors, the Nakajima's flames exist on another level, but where he stands on the totem pole is now unknown. The drawbacks to this technique being that it limits the user to using only Katon or non-elemental jutsus. It also makes the user more susceptible to Fuuton jutsu, which feeds the fire and forces the user to burn through their chakra, with powerful Fuuton attacks causing the body to detonate and expel a massive amount of chakra.

DESCRIPTION:
The execution of this technique seems simple, as it is a raising slash, with both hands on the blade, and great force behind it. However, the actual concept is to smash through the enemies guard, and then attack their groin, with a shift in movement, causing incapacitating pain if the strike hits.

Using a bladed weapon will provide more of a payout against male targets, due to the profuse bleeding of that area, but a blunt instrument would be more helpful against female targets, since they have nothing substantial to slice.

DESCRIPTION:
Used from a position higher than one's opponent, the user will channel chakra into their legs in order to initiate a powerful jump. Upon reaching the apex of the jump, the user will begin rapidly flipping end over end in order to build up momentum for a powerful cleaving blow to the opponents head or shoulders. The strike is powerful enough to plow through both a steel helm, skull and weapon alike and a direct hit with a bladed weapon will usually prove fatal. Even a hit with a blunt weapon is capable of KO'ing the most sturdy shinobi.

DESCRIPTION:
Lighting their entire arms aflame, the Nakajima pours chakra into the flames until they are near explosive. Once they reach that point, they can then fire a pillar of fire directly at their opponent. It has a width of 1m and can shoot up to 20m out. The path of the pillar cannot be changed mid-blast, so the Nakajima must be certain their aim is true. A direct strike from this pillar can leave severe third-degree burns. If allowed to continue blasting, the concentrated flame even has the capability to melt through stone, though it would take a while [2 Posting Rounds to melt through 1m of stone]. The Nakajima can continue firing this pillar for as long as they have chakra, but they will be unable to move or use any other jutsu so long as it is active.

Immediately after clapping them, Takumi's hands moved to grab another pair of shuriken. His fingers froze when he saw the creature's terrible maw open, a wave of fire rushing out to greet him just a moment later. The Imagawa's movements hastily resumed, though instead of grabbing more weaponry he pressed his fingers together to form a seal, sending chakra through his body for a much needed boost to his agility. Instead of retreating away, however, Takumi sent himself straight upwards, hopefully high enough to reach the ceiling of the cave or a low hanging stalactite to set his feet on.

From this vantage point, Takumi took a moment to take stock of the situation, gaze sweeping over to check on Hakurei's efforts before promptly returning his attention to the fight against the giant fire-breathing creature. He noted the movements of the other Nakajima before calling out in as loud of a voice he could manage.

"Emiri is out. We should leave!"

The purpose of this expedition had been to find Nakajima Emiri, and so they had. Takumi wasn't sure if she was dead or alive, but if she was alive a hasty retreat was the easiest way to ensure she stayed that way. Provided nothing cataclysmic happened, they could always return to this cave once Emiri was secure.

By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

DESCRIPTION:
An advanced genin level technique, it serves as a means to both enhance chakra control when mastered as well as a means to change one's advantages on the battlefield. By applying chakra to the soles of the feet, the shinobi gains the ability to walk and stand on vertical surfaces or even upside down.

[Nakajima Taro]

Taro's ever persisting grin couldn't help growing a second, as he'd manage to complete his full round up and deliver a mighty strike. It was such a satisfying feeling to hit the creature and feel his force plummet it downward. The ground shattering and thusly reducing the force directly to the bug. However it'd seem the strike still held pretty true with Taro's full power, as it'd crack the shell of the centipede. It was tough for sure and this was about as strong as Taro could deliver a strike, he'd grit his teeth knowing he was putting all his force and preparation into this blow. They were in a cave system, so he really wasn't going to get higher.

"This guys shell is really hard guys!" He'd grunt through his teeth, before the massive creature thrashed. Throwing him off it and up into the air, he'd turn his feet into fire. Preparing a hand seal he'd pump chakra into those flaming feet to propel him up, it'd just be enough to keep him in the air. His attention turning to Ryuu, as he'd once again give Taro commands. However unlike last time he'd actually not understand the order, he didn't know who trench coat was supposed to have been. He didn't have time to think it over though, as he'd hear the shattering of the black ice. Quickly dropping down to the site of the previous Yuki Lady, Taro would be quite excited to see everyone was 'okay'.

There'd be a scroll on the ground and with his past clan leader in another's arm, he couldn't help reaching out and taking the scroll out of curiosity. "Takumi's right, we should bounce out of here." He'd be able to do much more from the outside than the inside of the cave. Pocketing the scroll or if it was too big attaching it to his back, he'd attempt to evacuate the cave system with his team. If the centipede was being an issue still, then he'd attempt to fly around it and pull it's attention to him so the others could escape. Granted it seemed Ryuu was already on that mission presently.

Taro as a member of the Nakajima clan, has been trained in the hijutsu known as cremation. This ability allows him to turn his body either fully or partially into fire and evade blows or propel his own. In the clan a color flame is usually gifted to each member by their cremations color, Taro however is a special case as his initial flame was seen as black. However after his chakra burn was sealed away, he's typically seen with red and orange flames in cremation. It isn't the color given to him exactly though, as it's known this is likely due to the seal. However inherent skills aside, Taro is incredibly skilled in using the cremation technique and utilizes it primarily with his taijutsu.

Swift As Hell #2
Using weighted scrolls to carry a bunch of typically useless equipment, Taro has managed to greatly improve his physical prowess. This technique can also boost sideways momentum or greatly boost a downward dive bomb. The chakra cost of this technique stacks with the combustion step.
