"I hope you all had a safe and fun ride." Yoshiko would exclaim as she'd step out the boat onto the water. Using her water walking technique she'd move to the boats front, as to grab it and pull it onto shore via a boat landing at the dock. Once it was on land it'd take a more hardy tug to move it and the shinobi onto land, but it'd only take a little chakra applied to lighten that load for the kunoichi. She'd wave the group to get off the boat, as she'd move towards the city herself.

"I've got to pay for them to store my boat, but while I'm doing that you can all race to the destination." She'd explain before point out a church in the depths of the town. It was quite large so it'd be peering above most of the other buildings, it appeared to be a rather recent structure too. Scaffolding could be roughly seen around the building. "It's that church in the distance, they're expecting us so they should let you in without any trouble." Yoshiko would explain, as she'd feel relatively safe in letting her team run ahead of her.

This was a very well kept city within Tsuchi no Kuni, it was chosen for the chunnin exams in the past due to that. The security wasn't quite to Iwagakure's standard, but it was hard to be more secure than a village where three fourths population are shinobi. The streets would be rather crowded as this city was a major trade point and vacation spot, it had one of the largest arena's in all of the land. So there were a mixture of villagers, merchants and tourist hustling the streets. An occasional shinobi seen within the crowd, but certainly more hidden in attention for the first spurt of trouble.

The destination of the race would be at a much higher point in the village, as it was built on fundamentally a large hill or small mountain. The streets had quite the angle to them and for a normal person would be relatively decent physical training. It'd be casual stuff for the shinobi racing to the church though. It was quite the structure too, as it had a large ornate wooden double door entrance. The likes of it's size could easily fit an elephant in width and giraffe in height.

Stable Mind's

Yoshiko needed to be at the boats most rear point to best propel it. However the kunoichi didn't mind taking the back seat in her teams conversation as well. It wasn't like they weren't all that far apart in age, she'd feel a little weird acting too high and mighty around them flaunting rank. Instead the Tokubetsu Jounin expected to earn respect through displays of skill. She wanted her team to desire her assistance and coordination, it seemed more childish to demand than to earn. She'd earned everything else so far of her own ability and determination.

"I hear they're capable of matching shinobi and well armored usually, so I think your doomstar will be applicable for this mission Ryo-chan!" Yoshiko would add onto her other students answer, as to not take away from it, but merely do a little to uplift the other students spirit. She didn't want Iwai to think she couldn't answer simple questions and she also didn't want it to seem like she handed over the reigns either. Glancing off into the sky for a second, before Iwai would bring up the boat. Causing the Nohime to look it over slightly confused.

"Oh-uhmm... I'm sorry it's not more comfortable or stylish, it was just kind of something loose in the compound. I'll work on getting it better suited later." Yoshiko would explain assuming Iwai was dissatisfied with their ships craft, but at the same time the girl would execute a few hand signs. The first of which would extend an almost bubble of chakra infused air around them and the boat, it was overextending the jutsu's use, but she didn't think it'd matter much on this mission. This air was despite all around the boat and team completely unnoticeable to the eye and didn't change the air's feel either.

The second jutsu though would end with the Nohime slapping both hands upon her seat and thus the boat as a whole. It'd seem rather harmless and similar to the wind jutsu visually uneffective. At least there'd be no flashing show or puff of smoke, but instead there'd be a sudden shift of the boat. It'd rise off the ground and teeter slightly with the balancing of those upon it. "Alright, let's not rock the boat team!" Yoshiko would exclaim as the slow lift of the row boat would hasten more and more, as she'd reduce the weight of the object.

As they'd get higher so would the effect of the wind roaring around them, but despite it being far more drafty above the shinobi, it wouldn't seem to greatly effect anyone. The invisible bubble becoming more or less visible not through sight, but an effect of shifting wind current. The team would rise not just above the ground, but above the mountains and with one hand lifted from the boat Yoshiko would point out in the distance. "Our targets there, hold on tight!" She'd explain joyfully, as she was about to push this ship into hyper drive. It was also a serious warning as falling from this height was certain death.

Aiming her hand behind herself, Yoshiko would apply her thrust technique. The force of wind pushing backwards would send the airborne ship whooshing forward. Re-apply the technique again and again, she'd guide the ship across the air streams. A factor of the sky the brunette knew quite well from flying with the birds. Perhaps an exhilarating experience or maybe a horrifying one, it'd be like a roller coaster and similarly end relatively soon after it started. A distant spec among the mountains almost zoomed into, as the boat went from Iwagakure to the sky and now to Kuwana. Due to them being on a boat Yoshiko would ease them down into the river that traveled by Kuwana and float them into the dock for a safe landing.

NAME: Fuuton Suiryoku [Wind Release: Thrust]
RANK: D-rank
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fuuton
HANDSEALS: Two
DESCRIPTION:
An incredibly weak fuuton technique which pushes the user with a burst of wind nature, this technique barely moves the light weight of Yoshiko, but when combined with the light weighted rock technique it allows Yoshiko to more or less move twice her pace in a sudden burst. This technique has the user chakra the chakra through their whole body and thus can be released from any location on the body.

NAME: Fūsen Ningen [Human Wind Bubble]
RANK: C-rank
CHAKRA USAGE: Low [Very Low to keep active]
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fuuton
HANDSEALS: Ten
REQUIREMENTS: Chakra Control SA
DESCRIPTION:
After performing the a multitude of hand signs the user will user their chakra to condense the air around them. This condensation of air infused with wind chakra is extremely subtle, but those with sensory or a doujutsu, will see an almost bubble like shape of weak chakra around the user. This wind bubble prevents the effects of natural wind from moving Yoshiko, but more importantly allowed Yoshiko to cast D-rank Fuuton with the use of chakra control instead. While this bubble is around Yoshiko she's weaker to Katon and cannot cast her own Katon without lighting up in a ball of fire.

NAME: Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user places their hand on an object or person and makes them, or whatever is inside of the object, several times lighter. This can be used on people, making their movements considerably faster for a period of time but makes their physical attacks that much more weaker. It can also be used to make the user or those they touch fly.

NAME: Doton: Chokeijugan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Super Light-Weight Rock Technique]
RANK: A
CHAKRA USAGE: Very High
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
A more powerful version to the light-weight rock technique, after performing the necessary hand seals the user placest heir hand on an object or person and makes the mseveral dozens of times lighter. This a hole mountain light enough to carry over one's head, but the chakra cost is massive.

A smile bright as ever on the kunoichi's face, she'd give a slight bow of her head to each of her students as they'd address her. She didn't want to impede on any conversation that might of been drifting off, so she was silent for their initial banter. It'd however clue her in very quickly that the group hadn't formally met Sayua who was now just introducing herself. A slight blush coming to the Nohime's face, as she'd realize that was probably in part her fault.

"I guess you guys haven't been waiting for me too long, that's good to say the least and... uh, very humble introduction Sayua. Though you're a member of team three now, we'll all be helping each other from here on out, okay?!" Yoshiko would explain giving the girl a thumbs up to feel more confident in herself. She didn't want to think this newbie wasn't welcome, it wasn't like the team had been formed that long ago. They'd sort of had rotating third role too, so it was hopefully the last of that. The Nohime wanted a concrete team to call her own.

"I'm glad to see we're all ready too, I'm liking this teams initiative."
Yoshiko would clench fists in excitement slightly bobbing up and down in short quick bursts. She had something planned that only Ryoko would possibly be able to understand, as two men from her clan would waddle into sight carrying a rowboat? They'd place the boat down behind their clan leader with a slightly look of annoyance having to tote the wooden construct all the way to the front gate. It'd be a boat large enough to comfortable sit all four shinobi.

"Seeing as we're hyped to go I was thinking the talking the road to Kuwana since it shoots down that way and loops back would be long. So, I'm figuring we can just sail straight that way and cut the time in half. It'd also conserve your guys energy for the spars too." Yoshiko would explain as she'd climb into the boat and sit at the back. She'd wave the team to join her onto the boat. "Come on team, all aboard the S.S.Nohime!" Yoshiko would state with a joyous laugh. As she'd possibly look crazy to all three, but certainly to Suika and Sayua. The brunette sitting in a boat on land in the middle of a mountain range and no water till they basically reach Kuwana.

Yoshiko knew this mission wasn't one she was as much participating within as merely guiding her team too. It lacked a real 'risk' factor, as far as the kunoichi was concerned. They were traversing a good distance and there was always dangers in this world. So more so out of a respect to keeping an appearance of their sensei, the Nohime would arrive in her typical shinobi attire. Her chunnin vest under ornate dress, it's presence just visible at the upper chest at the open v-neck of her dress.

This outfit was rather long going down most of the way to her ankles, but splitting into three parts to not hinder her movement. Instead just cover the necessities, but still split to reveal her legs. Her right upper thigh showing off her headband, as well as a second Iwagakure headband which looked far more weathered and old. She had fishnet stockings which went up most her leg from her feet, but over them were trim steel boots. Matching her boots she wore steel bracers, a summoning seal upon each. Around her waist a tightly bound sash similarly with seals upon it, as well two shinobi pouches for equipment. It'd ribbon behind her rather ornately.

As usual the Special Jounin would arrive with a bright smile and pep in her step. She had all the more reason to be happy and proud today, as her whole team had managed to arrive early. No waiting and perhaps no introductions necessary? She could see them altogether and could only guess whether or not they'd conversed already. "Good morning team! I can see we're all early for today's assignment. So, how're we all this fine day? Excited and ready as I am for the journey to Kuwana?!" She'd speak in a boisterous tone and plant her hands on her hips. Striking a pose to show her pride with a raised chin and puffed up chest.

She didn't even realize that their third member just arrived without introduction. So perhaps to the other two there'd be confusion, but the Nohime had already learned about the new teammate. Seen the photo's as well as them in passing at the hospital. She had a pretty good if not a little strange relation to the villages head medic after all. Not knowing though she made the mistake of blindly assuming the others had already met up and been talking.

Night Training

Perhaps expecting to land a kick on an elite jounin, when one wasn't even a master of taijutsu was stupid. Yoshiko though wasn't going to get better at her close quarters combat by hiding in the back. She might of been helping the sage with her training, but she was certainly able to benefit from the training too. No reason to let such a rare moment pass her, well other than the beating that'd follow her daring attempting.

The Nohime wouldn't be able to out perform the older kunoichi so up and close, so she'd be downed by the woman's kick. An immediate brigade of strikes aimed for Yoshiko would follow through the others staff. The ninjutsu specialist would have her earthen armor still though, so as swiftly as she could she'd shift the stone once more. It'd move to her arms chest and face, as she'd face the brunt of the attacks head on. There wasn't much room to escape grounded, it might of been time to surrender, but there was too much pride to quit.

Instead the Nohime would perform a quick hand sign and directing her chakra through her armor, she'd send a pulse of it straight to the kunoichi beating her. It'd be her earthen chakra and once struck the short burst wouldn't last too long, but it'd suddenly give the sage a weightlessness. Such weightlessness even that she'd lose her footing and begin to float up, as the strikes downward pushed her upward. Yoshiko hoping this would confuse and throw the jounin off would lift her leg and performing another hand sign send a sudden thrust of air out her foot. In her earthen armor it'd provide no propulsion for the downed brunette, but the sage it'd give lift off as though a leaf suddenly pulled from earth by a gust of wind.

The chakra didn't last long and shortly into flying up weight and gravity would once again apply to Midori. However it'd be more than enough time for the special jounin to rise from the ground. And proceeding to as maliciously as possible repeat the same hand signs, as she'd try to rapid fire her personal fire jutsu. Pairs of flaming small birds fired from the princesses mouth, as they'd guide upwards to try to strike the falling sage. They weren't large enough to present a great threat, but in the repetitive action of firing them again the small burn could turn into many and a singe become a serious threat. If not a major nuisance. Granted any of the girls plans went accordingly.

NAME: Katon: Shinpūtai [Fire Release: Kamikaze Squadron]
RANK: C-rank
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium [Very Low to keep active]
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Katon
DESCRIPTION:
After being burned physically and metaphorically during the Iwagakure Rebellion; Yoshiko was beaten by the relentless will of Keiko's desolate salamander technique. The fire jutsu was the first fire jutsu that caught Yoshiko's interest. Unable to adopt the jutsu outright she worked to learning what she could of it, as well as what was similar to it, then in a show of her own kunoichi might designed her own version. Casting a much different form, one more akin to her nature, Yoshiko makes two small plane like birds of katon. These objects are roughly the size of a crow and can move at decent pace within 15m of Yoshiko, unlike Keiko's salamanders though, Yoshiko's birds don't explode. Instead with the activation of an additional hand sign, Yoshiko is able to launch these bird like fire projectiles at double pace for 10m before dissipating. These double paced birds hit much faster and with a more serious burn for their location of connection, even capable of catching a very dry object on fire. However these projectiles hit the area space of only a softball sized wound.

NAME: Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:

NAME: Doton: Han'nō-sei sōkō [Earth Style: Reactive Armour]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
After three Hand-seals, the user will create an light stone armour around themselves. The user can shape the armour to look like whatever they want, from simple stone to a unique stone armour than nobody else has. The Jutsu greatly increases their strength, without hindering the users speed. It is naturally weak against Raiton and as long as the user is in contact with the earth, is capable of reforming any damage taken.

Sensory Ninjutsu

Yoshiko wasn't initially taught sensory jutsu, she didn't have a specialist in her family to tutor. There weren't any sensory technique in her fathers arsenal she'd been taught, so for most her developing a sensory jutsu was shocking. The ability of that sensory technique however was minuscule in comparison to the average sensory of a sensor shinobi. First meeting a Kamizura of the Sensory Head, she'd take as much time aside to learn under the woman. Then when meeting the Tsuchikage she'd pick-up on the aura of chakra. To some it was probably an enlightening tingle, but to Yoshiko it was the clear display of Chakra control. Mimicking others and expanding her own ability Yoshiko, has gained the ability to sense chakra up to 250M's of her position. Her sensory doesn't stop there she can when close to a shinobi begin she begins to sense the release of users chakra. Due to this she's able to tell whether or not a shinobi is about to cast a jutsu with very low to very high amounts of chakra. This ability only works when an enemy is using ninjutsu.

Yoshiko couldn't help giggling at Konsho's reaction, as he'd take her words and seemingly feel accomplished. She'd only half delivered her lesson really and not backed it up yet. So with him bowing she couldn't help reaching out and ruffling his hair about, as to tease him for bowing out so quickly. "Hehe, no problem, but the lesson isn't over!" She'd state retreating her arm and now raising a finger to gesture their was more at hand, at least one more thing.

"I didn't say it's the best way to deal with wind, but it's one of the ways to deal with wind. Well... three of the ways to deal with it. Though they're alternatives to obviously countering with fire, but sometimes fire isn't the best counter to wind." Yoshiko would go on with her lesson, as she'd do so she'd jump backwards performing a set of hand signs. Summoning two small birds of fire from her mouth, they'd swoop around the two high enough to not be an immediate threat.

"Fire is the counter to wind, but wind is also an enhancer to fire." She'd perform another hand sign, as she'd exclaim. "Whoosh!" Suddenly with a slight flutter of wind both fire birds would intensify and speed up darting harmlessly into the earth a good distance from either of them. "The fact of the matter is fire ignites wind, but the right force of wind and the wrong fire can let the wind user redirect that flame back at them."

"Similarly though an equal force or greater of fire can redirect and super charge the fire users attack. That's part of deflection option. Alternatively using things like sails, fans and other similar objects you can redirect wind without jutsu. Granted these things often work better with jutsu applied." Yoshiko hoped she wasn't drowning the boy information, so she'd question if what she spoke was clear. "Does that make sense to you?"

"Well we can't all have Jinton." Yoshiko would jokingly reply with a shrug to Yoko's remark about killing the opposition first. To make it clear she felt their was greatness beyond herself or family. She didn't rate a person upon their strongest move, it wasn't to say Jinton was the only manner to quickly eliminate someone. Though in her jokes defense there was certainly forces resistant to other oppositions. Poisons had antidotes and those somehow immune. Most other destructive ninjutsu left a chance for survival or a means to effectively counter.

A new question would be proposed and it'd be something the Nohime felt she had a confident answer. However as the question proceeded with clarification, it'd leave the brunette less confident in her original thoughts. Former rulers. Certainly the jounin wasn't poking at the girls father. Though it was something settled in the girls mind, but she needed to stand by her original guns. "I think Iwagakure is the strongest force, but I can't say that's indicative of our leadership." Yoshiko really didn't want to sound like a conspirator or traitor in the flock.

So with a second thought to her wording she'd feel she had to explain. "I think our past leaders might of had the rule during a time when our force was stronger. Their decisions were surely in betterment of the village, but attacking Ishigakure and fighting ourselves certainly didn't add to our strength." She'd lean her head back and really think on that last line, it was largely her fathers rule that did damage to the village. Pulling Ishigakure directly into their fold could make the village look stronger, but they were already allies. So realistically they could already count on them to help.

Sighing. Yoshiko wasn't too happy with the past, but it was supposed to stay their and focus needed to be on the future. "The wars though likely made those of us here stronger and experienced. Our new leader is bringing in forces she's aligned to too, so we might actually be stronger than ever before... And it might be because of Takara actually." Slightly contradictory to her original words, it'd seem the Nohime would suck up her pride and admit being wrong. Wrong in her original statement and wrong in the sense of her clan maybe not doing as much good as she'd of liked.

Yoshiko couldn't help letting out a giggle as the academy student seemed dumbfounded by her push. It wasn't really the best ninja nature to let oneself slip so out of reality. Perhaps he'd been listening to her every word, but maybe he was a drift just staring at her. She'd try not to consider the worst and instead focus on the best option. She'd cross her hands behind herself, as to show she wouldn't be pushing him again. She didn't want to unnerve the poor kid after all.

"You're not wrong Konsho, but you're also not completely right."
Yoshiko would state in retort to his response, a smile on her face which seemed to show both pride and humbleness. Clearly she didn't think him too wrong and perhaps he was close to being right on the money. "Armor is a device to the counter, but it's smart to think of it as blocking. Applying an object which wouldn't be bested to winds less weighted attack. However wind is versatile and could work around armor itself, so you'd need to apply your training to position it to defend you from the cut. That's blocking." Explained the Nohime.

"However!" She'd add raising a finger, as she'd begin to now pace around the boy. Intentionally attempting to raise his guard a little. "Blocking isn't the only manner to handle the cutting force of wind. There's also dodging and deflecting the force, but deflection is more or less a more complicated block. Perceiving the point or points where wind will cut, then you can potentially avoid it through movement." Approaching behind Konsho, Yoshiko would pat the academy students head. A gentle reminder that what he couldn't see could be his hugest setback.

"As for pushing, you can similarly block, deflect and dodge. It's a broader force, but unlike cutting where you're relying on durability. With pushing you should rely on balance and weight, you're able to be as immovable as stone if you desire. Similarly if you know the direction and relative grasp of the pushing or cutting wind it can be avoided through swift movements and selective positioning." The Nohime would explain, but in each seemingly avoid the exact explanation of 'deflecting' merely leaving it as the complex cousin of the other two methods.

The Nohime might of been a very bubbly individual who'd place love above most things. She was however at her core a Nohime and her father's daughter, so nothing about Yoko's words really shook the younger kunoichi. Instead it all sounded like a rather true explanation of what the general idea of a good shinobi happened to be. Though Yoshiko would believe their was more than killing to the shinobi name and even more so than protecting either.

The follow up of a necessary drive also made sense, but it did feel a little lackluster. The idea of those who would perform the shinobi duties only under the pretense of money sort of grossed out Yoshiko. Granted money had never been an issue in her life, her father was the head of her clan and later the head of the village. Even after his reign, she'd ended up taking his position head of the clan. She'd also been more focused on her shinobi arts than shopping, but she did like the things money bought.

Her clan though had a lot of talented people in it and they came of many arts and skills. So there was little she couldn't request and not have made within the confines of her clan's complex. Sipping from her tea, it'd not take Yoshiko long to reply to the reverberating question. "Your explanation is pretty good, I do think that perhaps the drive comes before the skill. As if you're properly driven there's a lot you can accomplish and overtime turn into those necessary skills." Yoshiko would start with mostly agreement.

However, she'd not want to seem like she was merely copying Yoko or blowing steam for approval. "I know shinobi are a military force, but I do think we provide more than security and death. I also think as important as drive is to the equation. There is something to having the right drive." The brunette added on to show where her thought process sort of differed, but a simple retort such as this didn't spur much smart dialogue. So unless Yoko pressed for the topic to change or interrupted Yoshiko would take another sip break before more so explaining a 'great shinobi'.

"I think a truly great shinobi is driven by an ideal almost impossible to corrupt and they don't need to be the most skilled. They just need to be willing to see their flaws and use their drive to fix them faster than their enemies can take advantage of them. To me that's what makes a great shinobi." She'd pause before smiling and letting out a slight snort of laughter. "I think." She'd state with a exasperation, as to show she understood she was young and could easily be more idealistic than realistic with those words. She by no means knew the answer, it was purely an opinion.

Midori was quick to deduce the manner in which the Nohime detected her. It'd ruin her chance to strike with surprise, but it'd at least force the sage into a more head on form of combat. Retrieving her weapon and dawning the same jutsu as Yoshiko, it'd seem time the two went rock to rock with each other. A close quarters fight certainly wasn't the most ideal for a ninjutsu specialist, but she wouldn't get to be a better shinobi staying out of every fight.

This was a spar too, so it was the perfect place to play risky. Her armor turned to almost stilts made it easier for the girl to move objectively quick. More so in a side to side manner, as her legs were essentially longer. That in mind the iwagakure special jounin would choose to give her partner less time to prepare with their staff. Charging Midori in a zigzag manner as quickly as she could, it'd be a taijutsu she learned and one of decent skill. Using the rabbit walk technique to close the distance, before quickly cracking some of the armor on one arm.

Quickly jumping towards the sage's left, Yoshiko would swing her arm whose stone armor cracked. Releasing enough of the jutsu, so it'd shatter and swing multiple stone shards at the older woman. Continuing the rabbit walk she'd immediately hop to the woman's right, before hopping up and aiming to kick at Midori's blind spot. "Dynamic Entry!" She'd attempt to use the rabbit walk speed and stone shards as a distraction in order to deliver a successful dynamic entry. A bold move for a ninjutsu specialist, but it certainly had a solid delivery.

Yoshiko had already been in the motion of wiping her tears away, so apart of her had hoped it'd went unnoticed. Though the tone words and stance Yoko seemed to take spoke otherwise. It'd slightly make the Nohime feel flustered, but the feeling would immediately provoke a sarcastic jab at yourself. 'You should know better than to think you can slip around an Iwagakure shinobi and not have them catch you.' A double meaning to be ever more vigilant of herself around others, as well as a thoughtful admiration to her fellow shinobi. She accepted her humanity and flaws for the most part.

Soaking in the woman's words, the younger kunoichi would easily find reasons to be happy. To draw the emotion that most often populated her expression. She was the smile of Iwagakure for a reason. Reaching out she'd take the offered hand, a light grasp on the other woman's fingers. A gesture to show she accepted the other's generosity, as she'd hone in on what was spoken. Her face awkwardly smiling at first, but the pleasant disposition quickly became natural. "Thank you, Yoko. I really do appreciate the sentiment. Especially coming from you!" Yoshiko would retort, her hand retreating from the other's as to display independence.

Despite genuinely speaking the words to the jounin, Yoshiko didn't want the other woman to think she needed the assistance. Her disposition was purely momentary, she was quick to drown out such emotion. Granted the pinkette's words truly did inspire a better mood in the brunette. She'd of certainly brought herself to a smile, but something more disingenuous. A default more than a reality. A thing which subtly would remind the clan leader she'd made the right move years ago after her father's arrest. She'd chosen to stick with the village and to prosper for her clan with it in mind.

She hoped he was proud in what she'd accomplished so far. She hoped the whole village would be proud of her one day, but she needed the opportunity to do something great for them. Though she was far less concerned with the chance arising and more her being prepared for it. She'd with that thought attempt to get back into the pace of completing this chore. She couldn't get back to training if she didn't, but she was a guest and probably shouldn't be trying to run from the person who'd already been so kind as to pick her spirit back up.

"Yoko... What do you think makes a great shinobi?"
The special jounin would ask attempting to change the topic and be a little more on or down the positive path.

Night Training

Yoshiko was content to drive her stone armor to new heights, as she'd find it's versatility in form quite amazing. The strong punch would not only deliver a display of fierce force, but it'd cause the earth around the special jounin to crack. Forming debris and parted stone, a means to have more ammunition. Granted she'd been given the time to continue her assault, but Midori wasn't about that type of fight. The sage would quickly return fire with fire, as she'd throw three explosive note kunai between the two of them.

It'd be pointless to attempt an attack, as the blast would surely shatter any tossed earth. Instead the Nohime would once again mend her armor into a shield, a smaller one due to the quickness it was needed. However the girl had a rather thin frame and could take advantage of that to avoid the debris blast back. Her hair and skirt the only thing kicked and pushed back, as the air flow would whoosh past her earthen shield. This attack had a purpose beyond light debris and concussion though, it'd play as a cover for the Sage to perform a clever act of shinobi deception.

The ability to make clones during a diversion was one of the strongest plays a shinobi could make, but this was a fight between two shinobi. More so though the sage was fighting against a very specific type of shinobi, a sensor shinobi. She could passively sense the signature's emerge, as well as keep track of their movement. Her smile intensifying, as she'd quickly break the shield form of her stone armor. Grasping the most disc shaped chunk of earth cracked around her, Yoshiko would attempt to follow up Midori's attack with her own.

Whipping the chunk of earth at the clone, as the cover of debris would be fading. Perhaps giving away the fact Yoshiko was a sensor, but hopefully for the brunette it'd be quick and surprising enough to catch the clone off guard. Chakra shifting the earth immediately after to turn the stone armor around her legs almost into stilts, as she'd use the greater leg length and strength in the stone to kick off the ground. Re-positioning herself as either the clone or the real Midori got close, but keeping her eyes at the clone above ground. Unless of course her thrown rock broke the clone, then she'd be just keeping her gaze ready for anything. Really though the girl was focused upon her chakra sensory.

Tea Time

Yoshiko would of already been pretty deep in her own thoughts. Her aim wasn't to stick to those thoughts, but her host wasn't giving her much choice. The praise given with it's warnings wouldn't be something new to Nohime. She understood hardship fairly well, but it'd of been different hardships. A story she was hinting at, but not one she'd told with clarity or depth. Detail purposely left out and for a second felt almost worth speaking upon, as though she had to explain more about what she said. Instead the pause was followed by more to be said.

Yoko had her own reasons to not show mercy, as well as her own reasons to disbelief in Yoshiko's strength. To see a flaw in what the special jounin saw as her ninja way. It'd be another story not told in deep explanation, but instead a mesh of hints towards a tale untold. A thing the brunette could respect, as she'd merely done the same moments ago. A hand picking up the tea once more, as she'd swallow down the last of it's contents. The heat completely lost in the sudden thoughts haunting her. She simply couldn't continue thinking one thing and not speaking upon it.

Her father raised her to believe in the village, as well as to care for those within it. If she felt so strongly in her beliefs, then what was holding her back from being honest in her passions. The cup in hand shaking slightly as instinct fought desire and finally she'd place the empty cup down. "Anger and vengeance can blind us too, it's what my father told me, it's not that I'm incapable of those emotion and it's definitely not that I've acted upon them. However, they're not emotions I want to drive me, it's not what he'd of wanted to drive me. If those two things got the better of me, then we'd be enemies not friends, because there's a grey area of fault during usurpation."

She'd think back to Kaito the man her heart held a certain hate to at one point, a man who hadn't deserved it, but that was how anger worked sometimes. The heroes you saw turn your back on you often turned into the villains. "Father loved this village though, he didn't always show it, but he loved the people of it too. Love can blind us and it did so for me of him, but I've learned from that experience. I wield love as a driving force, it's every hardship becomes a weight to train me into a stronger person." She didn't speak of her father outside of her clan, because it was basically a taboo subject. There were still supports of him, but they were chastised for it by those who didn't support him. The victors got to write the history books and in their pen strokes Kouen would be a villain.

The monster of a man would however always be the man who raised her, a person who'd always shown her love and caring support. Someone who taught her to be a good person, as well as to be strong enough to carry those intentions with a force that couldn't be stopped. She'd move back to the task, her eyes glittering with the moisture of held back tears. "To me love is a force of creation and hate a force of destruction. As a Nohime thought I'm also a force of destruction, so there's no need to have hate and an necessity for love. Where my father ruled with people fearing him, I want to rule one day with people loving me. So, if I screw up, then they'll have the heart to tell me." She'd say these words sniffle as a few tears dropped from her eyes to envelop she wrote upon. Her arm raising quickly to wipe them away, she couldn't help feeling her father's death was avoidable.

Tea Time

There was a part of the Nohime's mind processing the words spoken, but another more focused on the task. She didn't want to seem rude, so there'd be no tuning out, but there'd also not be an immediate retort to any word or words chosen. The things spoken weren't as depressing to the brunette as the earlier question though, so she could ponder them quietly with still a very real look of joy. The statement of her thought process being admirable made the girl quite happy after all. However the follow up of not empathizing with it kind of confused her.

She didn't know if Yoko simply didn't mean the first line or if she lived in a mind set where something could be admired but unobtainable by others. Everyone was possible of everything, at least that was the way Yoshiko looked at things. Ninjutsu had limitless potential and thus nothing was truly impossible nor even improbable to her. Thankfully more was said to give the clan head room to make a more solid verdict on the pinkette's meaning. To which the conclusion seemed almost clear to the younger kunoichi, it'd seem the world wasn't very giving to Yoko. Perhaps love betrayed her or maybe she'd been raised with this belief of balance.

Balance was a nice thing, but Yoshiko simply couldn't agree. She'd hold her tongue initially though, as she felt there was more to be said. Instead she'd break from her writing again for another sip of tea. "Ah~" She'd sigh happily enjoying the beverage and it's soothing effect on her mind and soul. She'd go back to work for only a minute before Yoko had another question for Yoshiko, but this question strangely brought more amusement to the jinton user. She couldn't help finding it to be a 'fun' question and the added retort only made things more lighthearted to the special jounin.

"That's a great question, but a strange one to answer..."
Yoshiko would state pausing to finish up writing someone's name. "You see I wouldn't be here if someone hadn't shown me that mercy." That'd be how the Nohime started with a strange shrug, as she brought it up so haphazardly there'd be more reason to bring it up than to disagree. No she brought it up purely as a fact to show a means to sway an opinion, to say there's a benefit to mercy, but was it exactly that? No it was a situation to show how complicated the topic could of been.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure it was either of our goals to kill each other, it was the civil war this happened during after all, but as a shinobi... I'd say in combat and general practice that's the goal. If I hadn't been shown that mercy, then I'd not be here nor would I have learned the lesson I did." Mercy certainly had it's merits, but this wasn't the answer to the question. Taking another sip of her tea, she'd look to Yoko with a slight giggle. As the true answer was completely countered to her point, as she'd reveal the truth of her inner nature.

"I however would never show mercy, as all is fair in war and love. I'd however like to not act upon this purely in anger or vengeance, it's to me simply about holding and setting precedence. If I believe in what I'm doing, then there's no reason to go back on it. Especially at such a pivotal point."
Grinning at her response, she'd feel confident in her words. However not trying to drowned her host in her beliefs, she'd add in conjecture to her own words, perhaps purely for validation sake. "Wouldn't you agree Yoko?" Her head drifting back to the task, as to make it clear Yoko had all the time in the world to think of her response.
