Yoshiko didn't expect any sort of great race from her students, but she did want to let them feel not totally chained to her. They deserved to feel more like responsible adults, as realistically their rank was the first of many in a military. She'd want to be a fun leader and someone they could go to and look up too. Perhaps such a nature would come at a cost later, but she'd seen war and experienced a near fatal experience. A reminder life was short and it needed to be enjoyed, but hopefully like her they'd grow to enjoy training. Self betterment required a truly desired goal.
Finishing paying for the right to store her little boat and put it away, she'd take a moment to look upon the clan symbol carved into it's wood. It as she'd stated earlier was a big mark, as the boat wasn't by any means designed for royal purpose. Handcrafted with the love of her family.
"I miss you father..." She'd mutter quietly to the boat, as she'd straighten her back and brighten her smile. Turning to the streets before skipping off towards the church, she wasn't a physical arts specialist, but she had been improving her physique.
Certainly Yoshiko could move much faster than any of the group, as she'd proved with the means she took them to this city, but for the journey up hill she'd rely purely upon her legs. She didn't want to outshine any of them and really she didn't care who won or lost the race. The brunette would be surprised to see her team waiting for her at the doors.
"I told you guys they were expecting us. No need to wait on me." She'd explain with a slight joyous chuckle at the end of her words.
Approaching the large doors she'd bang to signal their arrival, before a cranking sound at either side of the huge door would be heard. The sound would immediately follow the doors seemingly opening by themselves. Of course not to an empty church, but it was sparsely filled at the moment. The interior size was enormous for sure, but the space seemed even wider as the church lacked in seats it seemed. A podium at the far end for sermons, there appeared to be stacked at either side of the walls pillows.
Looking down it'd be clear their purpose, as a small group kneel'd upon them in prayer. They were the seats of this place, at least that'd be their present purpose. However from out of side around a corner would come a woman dressed in baggy robes.
"My apologies for the less than warm welcome, we didn't expect your group so early..." The person looked over the team, as she'd need a moment to discern Yoshiko from the group. All of them being girls and none of them having a huge age gap on the others made choosing the 'leader' a little hard for the stranger.
"It's okay, I'm excited to see what's going on here and more excited to see how my squad performs in combat." Yoshiko would explain with a bow, as she'd look down the long open room to those praying.
"So... Are those to be your soldiers of faith?" The Nohime would question a little unsure what to think of any of them, but one would stick out. A very large individual dressed in full plate armor, it'd shimmer a golden shade and at distance looked quite royal. They'd be seated facing the door in front of those praying. A very large sword standing beside them, it'd been clearly propped up by stabbing partially into the ground.
In front of the man would be a group knelt in prayer, it'd seem none of them were discernible though. All had a cloak on and in their position appeared rather similar. The one in robe who'd greeted them would give a nod with an almost greater gleam than the dust release user.
"Yes, they're actually a band travelling with the Right of Slaughter, it's quite rare that member resides at any church. So you're all very lucky!" They'd explain which would light Yoshiko up all the more, as always relished the opportunity to make an important acquaintance.
"Awesome, we should go introduce ourselves than post haste!" Yoshiko would exclaim joyously pressing on with a very fast walk past their greeter. The woman didn't seem to be too strong willed anyways and a little nervous. Perhaps due to how early the team had arrived this fine day, but the person seemed to want to say something. Instead would only gawk in surprise at the Nohime's boldness.
Approaching closer the quite prayers would hush as the special jounin came into audible range.
"I hear you're the Right of Slaughter! It's an honor to meet you, I'm the Head of the Nohime clan, Yoshiko." The girl would in her mind perform a deep and generous bow to the man in armor. As they'd gotten closer it'd seem his armor was much less royal than at a distance. The gold was partially flaked, the plates were dented and it'd seem to have a decent accumulation of rust it'd seem. Those praying would get up from their kneeling position.
She'd resume a normal stand after a pause into her bow, but it'd seem neither her introduction, bow or post stand drew a noise from the armored figure.
"Might I know your name?" She'd ask with clear glee and general curiosity. Too which there'd be a rancid breath from the stranger, but not a single word. Those in cloaks would turn and the one closest to Yoshiko would speak instead.
"He doesn't have a name..." A boy younger than Yoshiko would state with a scowl towards the jounin.
"I wasn..." Yoshiko would start, but her words would be cut short by the boy adding quite quickly.
"He doesn't have a tongue either, so he wasn't going to tell you either." The brunette was a little off put, but at the same time, she'd attempt to not be judgmental. If everything spoken was true, then there'd be no point in arguing. If anything only a reason to be ashamed, but then boy had the nerve to continue.
"You have no right addressing him either, uppity shi..." He'd however this time be the one interrupted as the hand of the armored individual would drop lightly upon the boys shoulder. He'd seem to blush realizing he was overstepping and shutting up. Clearly this individual didn't seem to think to highly of shinobi.
The man standing behind the boy all intimidating in his height and armor would prompt the team leader to push up her chest. She didn't plan to be overshadowed in front of her students. Granted this man was much taller, he was broader too and upon a longer closer look. It'd become apparent the brown markings on his armor weren't rust, but instead were the dried stains of blood. A smell which came about getting closer was now all more apparent and understood.
Those in cloaks all turned to face the team and it'd be a decent group of seven. All of them appeared to be young, but most were around the average age of Yoshiko's team. The boy was dressed in leather easy to move around armor, he'd appear to have four small short bows, two to each side of him. As well as an array of small quivers with multiple arrows.
To the boys left would appear to be a girl dressed in a gi and at her side was a set of very strange looking nun-chucks. She had wild hair, a few bandaids on her face and both her hands and feet were wrapped. Otherwise she seemed to be very bare and basic, a surprising look for a person who certainly lacked ninjutsu. To the boys right right was a person whose gender was hidden by their armor, they what appeared to be thick plates of black armor. The oddest part of the armor was the helmet which looked almost like a bird cage, but the bars were too thick to quite see into the helm. This persons weapon appeared to be two grated chain maces, they seemed almost hollowed and had something black inside.
To the girls opposite side stood an older looking male, he was perhaps older than even Yoshiko. He appeared to be dressed in a rather traditional samurai armor and had multiple swords at either side of him. He had his hair back in a bun and despite armor on his body kept his head relatively undefended. Next to him opposite the girl was another girl, but she looked to be younger than everyone else. She had no weapons, but carried a very large book in both her arms. Her waste had ink vials and feathers attached.
On the opposite side of the stranger in black armor would be what appeared to be two twins. They were rather androgynous in their appearance and either could of been a boy or girl at a guess. Both had long white hair and pale white skin to match, they similarly wore armor like their neighbor, but where the one in black had thick almost iron looking plate armor. These two appeared to have a thinner more refined steel plate armor, despite the two clearly being twins one had a claymore on their back, as the other appeared to have two rapiers at their waste.
