It was a pretty lame and risky thing to do, yet, Kunikunosaku still did it. Every now and then, she would scope the newer Genin, not for some recruitment ploy, mainly to see which personalities could be a thorne stuck in her side. The current one that has her attention is Wasurete. Her former teammate, they partook in the same Exams but obviously, only one passed. While he wasn't a bad person, he had sociopathic tendencies that definitely made him a liability. From what Kuni could gather, his hyper-focus made him good in one avenue, unfortunately, that avenue was low on Genin priorities. Even worse, she seemed to have fallen for him.

The other Genin on a different team seemed rambunctious, energy-driven, basically Wasurete but less kill-happy from what she's seen. Both were walking headaches fit for complaints. But it wasn't hers, not yet at least. Come to think of it, doesn't that one kid look familiar? Kuni thought as she wandered out of her clan compound over to the training lot. Maybe she was learning a bit how to be a good leader, despite lacking a team that could prove it.

Who knows, maybe the Chūnin would find something fun to play with at the training lot, if not, she'd just hone her Raiton.

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Narihira had come to the training grounds initially to get some practice in with Hisuiyuri, to further strengthen his bond with the spear, but when he saw how many younger genin there were out and about, his plan changed on the spot.

Training was a favorite pastime of Nari's. Well, he had numerous favorite pastimes, but training ranked decently high up on the list. It was especially fun if there were younger genin and academy students around for him to assist. Sure, some people would say he was a "terrible influence" or "the worst choice to be teaching younger kids", but he always ignored those words. He liked to teach and take the load off the sensei. He was a helper like that.

With Hisuiyuri still strapped safely to his back and a grin on his face, Nari stood at the edge of the grounds, rocking on his heels as he took in the scene before him, debating on who to grace with his presence first. There were plenty of options but his attention was caught by a girl who was also hovering at the edges of the grounds. She seemed familiar to him, which was what initially caught his notice, but he couldn't place her right away.

Nari snapped his fingers as Kunikunosaku's name came to his mind after a few moments of unsubtle staring. It was the serious expression that threw him off. The last time he had seen her for longer than a few moments, they had been in the Academy and she had a smile and a kind look in her eye.

Those weren't there anymore. But she was a chunin now, right? He thought he had heard her name in the most recent announcements of promotions - not that he paid much attention to those. Maybe getting promoted meant you had to become a super-serious no-fun member of the army. Which would be lame if true.

"Hey! Mikatakujira!" Nari waved his hands trying to grab her attention. "Stop lurking over there and come train with me!" Time to bring some entertainment back to Kunekune's life. He was a helper like that.

I was loud but muffled by distance, yet it was heard. 'Hey Mikatakujira'. Kuni made a quick look around for her clan members, but not one of the present Genin reacted. Someone must've been addressing her, but why? Who, aside from her genin team, would ever try to associate themselves with her. While she was actively trying to get back in touch with her human self, while she was actively trying to make herself reconnect more to natural emotions, feelings, and empathy, Kuni had a habit of reverting to a nonchalant expression, a monotonous voice, and mostly stoic nature. It wasn't all entirely her fault.

The lack of expression was born from the mental damage caused by the bonding with Jiongu. Robbing her of her former life and damning her to an unnatural one. All of her empathy, care, and even humanity was cast out the window, but it took her entire Genin Team a good while to help her come back and it took a lot of self-management balanced with managing Jiongu and his damnable lust for hearts. He wasn't gone, incoherent whispers can still be heard within her head, but for the most part, Jiongu was silent. Which begged the question, who, aside from Wasurete, wanted to disturb this peace within her.

The girl looked to the sound of the voice, noticing the jade weapon before the wielder. Once her magenta eyes laid their gaze on the boy, Kunikunosaku froze in silence. A thread, crawled under the skin of her right arm, only to quickly hide. The dots had difficulty even connecting, so much has happened for her to remember anything beyond her clan head, her first team, Lord Ryū, or her grudge against that damned Uchiha. Whoever tried catching her attention, he wanted to train with her. It was definitely a different experience but Kuni wasn't going to deny a bold audience.

The snow-haired Kunoichi made her way over to the boy who called her out. As she drew near, Kuni could see the boy was a tad shorter, not counting his spear. But, even with his unique features, it was all somewhat vague. Once Kunikunosaku was close enough, she spoke out. "Sure, since you asked. I'm Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku, apprentice to the Mikatakujira clan." The Chūnin stated, a sense of pride in the word choice but a relatively steady, almost monotonous tone. "And who are you? Rather, since you seem to know me, do I know you?"

Narihira grinned as his attempt at getting the white-haired girl to leave her lurking perch and come over to his area of the grounds was successful. The words that left her mouth and the complete and utter lack of recognition caused that grin to falter and a look of confusion replaced it.

Sure, it had been a long while since the two of them had met up, but they had got along well in the Academy. "You should know me, we went to the Academy together. I'm Fukase Narihira?" he said the last part like it should be the most obvious thing in the world. He wasn't that forgettable, was he? Everyone else he met up with from the school days seemed to remember him easy enough.

"We hung out a bunch, trained together, it hasn't been that long." Now that he got a better look at her, Nari could admit that the girl was different than she had been back then. Both in appearance and personality. But he figured it was just a growing-up thing - being in the military changed people in all sorts of ways. Once she was near, her magenta eyes just stared steadily on the boy. He went on ahead to explain that he knows who she was, thus why he called her over. The girl tilted her head as her eyes ran up and down the boy. Why is he so familiar? Did I help him earlier and never noted it? Kunikunosaku's arms folded about her chest and she closed her eyes, trying to recollect whatever she could. Her memory gap clearly caused the male before her to grow unsteady, enough to guide her to the right memories. Academy days, Fukase Narihira. Anything pre-Jiongu was hazy at best but Kuni still tried her best, bringing a hand to her face to hold her chin as she dug through the grains.

He pushed even harder, that they hung out, trained together, he was right, it hasn't been that long. Alas, asking Kuni is akin to living a lifetime. So much of her life has changed so much, and if he had been truthful to not seen her since the academy days then he didn't know she died. It hit her like a lightning bolt, she remembered Nari, his antics, his flamboyant personality; but by the time she did, he had already started to complain about what they were having her do to make her forget easy. Without a second thought nor any hesitance, the girl would find herself hugging Nari.

"I feel terrible forgetting, but I remember you now, Nari!" Kuni said letting go before deep diving into her life. "Do you really want to know?" Kuni covered her mouth with her hand before moving the hand as if to shush him without any noise. "Right before graduation, on my 13th birthday, I was selected to be the clan apprentice." Kuni raised an arm over her head, eyes growing concerned. How will he react? "The Kunikunosaku you remember is dead, I am her reborn." With that, threads ripped out of her arm, wiggling and writhing before moving to hold it horizontal where all the threads unstitched until there was no arm, just the black tendril, the threads of power... and death.

"After, I was placed on a team with a classmate, Wasurete, and an upper class-men, Oborozuki Hideo. We were a team under Etsuko Jun. I say were because after many missions, we went to the Exams, but I was the only one who came back as a Chūnin. Any questions?" Kuni asked with a smile as the tendrils reformed her arm, as perfect as it was before the possibly traumatizing demonstration.

The young guisarmier stared at the girl, blinking at her as she seemed to go through some sort of mental gymnastics to remember him. The wheels were definitely turning in there. It was starting to make Nari feel a little awkward, like maybe asking his old friend over had been a mistake. Maybe she really did forget him.

The little yelp Nari made was a bit of shock to the girl, more so the sudden noise as close as she was to the source almost made her want to squeeze fatally tighter but she wasn't in the mood to harm, much, she was after a long ass time, pretty happy to reconnect with someone of her... living part of her existence. Upon release, he tried to laugh off his yelp and Kuni got a mental flash of Wasurete over him, it moderately annoyed the Kunoichi that they both tried playing the suave man, and both fail to trick her. But, leave it to her to bring the entire mood down as she began explaining and soon demonstrating what happened to her.

She noted the boy grabbing his jade spear and the girl wanted to laugh, but, she fought back against her darker aspects. Instead, after opening the chance of questions, the girl smiled brightly. When Nari affirmed it was quite a story and questioned if she was alright, the smile returned to her signature blank face. "I am now... sorta. This will be a long one so sit down." Kuni suggested, more stated. The girl wondered which part will be hard for him to hear. Probably the whole thing. "When I first was appointed apprentice, I was thrown into a black pit of those tendrils and they tore me apart, I was so traumatized, my hair turned white and it's pretty probable my iris and blood blended before it... remade me." The girl stated, recalling every painful detail.

"It kinda tore my sanity in two. It was a trip to get myself together, especially when it wouldn't shut up. Eventually, when the Exams came, I came to terms and accepted this is now who I am now. This is where we are now, it wouldn't shut up, and I can share with you what I have to deal with every day, that is if you think you can handle it." Kuni shook her head and smiled, "You said you wanted to train when you called. What is it you want to do?"

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. Oh? Story time? Nari didn’t actually sit down, because A) there weren’t any actual seats, and B) he had a spear attached to his back, making sitting on the ground very difficult. But Kuni was not kidding, her story was definitely a doozy. What kind of messed up clan? Note to Nari: never mention this to his mother. She’d kidnap and adopt Kuni faster than you could say "possible felony”.

But Kuni was still smiling, so, torn personality aside, she hadn't changed too much from whatever had happened. Or she, at least, managed to get some of her old self back.

Ah. So she had voices in her head too? "I can handle a decent amount, so if you want to talk, let me have it."

Something told Nari that the rare once-in-a-blue-moon sentence from Hisuiyuri was probably a lot more pleasant than whatever Kuni had to deal with from her tentacle horror thingie. Especially if she was implying she had to deal with it everyday. But, he had "inner voices” experience and Nari was always happy to be a friend, so if Kunikunosaku wanted to vent, he was willing to listen.

But she switched the conversation from dour and Narihira was going to jump on the opportunity. Because training was awesome. "I’ve been trying to build up my speed and reflexes more, I was hoping - since you’re a chunin and all - that you might have some pointers on improving that area."

Having a spear was great at keeping distance between himself and opponents, but there was always the chance that someone could break past his defenses. He’d like to be able to dodge if that scenario ever came into reality.

The boy stated he could handle some so if she wanted to talk, she could. Kunikunosaku wanted to laugh again, she kept heer smirk and hid the amusement as much as she could. No, there was no better way to describe it than letting him feel for it himself. However, Kunikunosaku got a sick idea when he answered the question of training.

I guess I could try... I don't do a lot of dodging myself, so I guess this could be good for both of us. The Mikatakujira thought as she nodded her head in acknowledgment. "Yeah, I guess I can, back up a bit and we'll get started... as a side note, I'll give you a handicap, that way if you can train under that, you'll be able to improve your speed and reflexes faster." Kuni backed up herself, stretching her limbs before her tone became much more serious and callous, all traces of a smile gone. "Stay focused, stay vigilant, and dodge. Your handicap is dealing with my pain!" As Kunikunosaku finished, a genjutsu would go off, creeping into Nari's head of the angered and torturous hunger and screams of Jiongu.

Kuni watched how Nari would adjust himself, if he could, before a straight rush into a duck in an attempt to send a launching kick to Nari's chin.

DESCRIPTION:
Upon utilizing the trigger, the Mikatakujira member casts a fairly mild yet horrifying Genjutsu. Manipulating the hearing of sound, much like All Directions, the victim starts hearing the incessant growling and cries to kill and get hearts down to the exact intonation the Jiongu symbiont actually uses. The key note, it is one singular voice with the sound originating from within the user's head, as if the Mikatakujira awakened an inner monster that lied dormant within the intended target. While the chance is slim, it could cause mental scarring or other mental health issues (IE Psychosis, PTSD, etc) dependant on the mental fortitude of the target.

How darest? His handicap was fighting against a chunin! He didn’t need anything else. Before Nari could voice his displeasure, he began hearing angry growling, voices all around screaming about hunger, hunger, hunger. Very creepy. A normal reaction would be to look for the source of the sounds, but Kunikosaku’s words, plus the fact he knew not to get distracted during fights, led him to keep his attention on the girl.

Noises? He could ignore noises. He lived beneath a gambling den which was constantly full of drunken, sometimes angry, people throwing their money away. Nari was used to ignoring loud, weird noises regularly. Luck would have it, the genjutsu didn’t mess up his vision, so he saw the kick as it came and, barely, pushed backwards to get out of her reach. In a smooth, practiced move, Nari pulled Hisuiyuri from his back to bring the spear up into position, one hand on the hilt, blade pointing towards the ground.

"That’s really friggin rude, Kuni," he snapped, shaking his head to try and clear the noise, to no avail. It was a nuisance.

He glared at the Mikatakujira, gold eyes narrowing. He moved his free hand to hover loosely at his side. This was training for him to speed up and dodge, so he waited to see what she would unleash next.

So, he is fast. Kunikunosaku thought as she held the kick, watching him back up and grip his weird spear. Her raised leg split from her main body to turn and try to kick Nari. The girl wasn't sure how he would react to the kick still coming, she outstretched her arm and narrowed her eyes as an explosion of tendrils shot to immobolize him. Shereally, really hoped Nari had a plan, as it stood, she wanted him to full-on prepare against an opponent of her calibre.

"Come on, prove to me you're ready!" Kuni knew she was training him but that didn't mean hold back to her. It simply was don't kill the kid. That she could do, she thinks. I swear if this monkey can't handle a little heat, maybe he's in over his head... Nah, I believe in him, more the benefit of the doubt, but same thing. The Chūnin thought as she recalled her kick, hoping he could dodge that trick; if not, that'd definitely leave a bruise... or an outright concussion. Now the tendrils may have been overkill but if he wants to be fast, he needs quick thinking.

Either way, holding back was not in the plan.

Narihira had seen the tentacles, though he had no clue what they were actually capable of, but he expected some sort of follow up attack. A leg disconnecting and moving towards him was not the sort of attack he had expected.

A noise of surprise sounded in his throat as he kicked back again to get out of the way. As soon as his feet touched the ground he swung his spear forward in a swinging arc, slicing at the appendage. She wasn’t going to hold back? Fine. He’d try his hardest too.

If his spear missed, he’d pull it back quickly and thrust it forward at Kuni’s center quickly. They had medics, and he was confident he wouldn’t kill a chunin in a sparring match.

As Hisuiyuri fully extended, Nari sent a pulse of chakra through it and two of the six jade points at the base of the spearhead freed themselves to launch at Kunikosaku in a swift follow-up attack. With a stomp on the ground, Nari surged chakra through him and manipulated the wind by his feet. He was ready for Kunikunosaku now.

  Narihira was lucky to be born with a deeper-than-average chakra pool. It allows him to fight and use jutsu for longer periods of time before he tires, compared to those with average-sized chakra pools. It's especially useful for him, due to the fact that his Life Blade is constantly absorbing chakra from him. But thanks to the depth of his stores, he never feels the strain from that drain unless he has depleted the polearm's stores in combat.

  As all Life Blades, Hisuiyuri absorbs Nari's chakra continuously as he carries it around, stacking up a decent amount of chakra inside of itself equal to half its wielder's chakra pool. The chakra becomes Hisuiyuri's and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the spear, allowing it to have the ability to self-repair small nicks and scratches it may obtain during combat.

  It also allows Hisuiyuri to have its own built-in security in case someone other than Nari grabs onto it. Using its futon chakra, sharp blades of wind will strike at the stranger's hands and arms until they release the spear. These gouges are minor cuts but they do sting quite a bit if they manage to hit skin.

  When entering combat, Hisuiyuri will use its own stores to fuel its abilities until it runs out and then will begin taking from Narihira. Thanks to his deeper-than-average chakra pools the wielder and weapon are able to go for a decent length of time-fighting in that state, but eventually, it will cause Nari to lose consciousness if the spear takes too much chakra.

  Using its natural affinity to fūton, Hisuiyuri is able to detach the six small jade points that line the sides of its spearhead and allow them to hover. By sacrificing the shredding ability the points usually grant the spear, Narihira is able to fire them off either one-by-one or all at once towards his opponents.

  At it's current skill level, Hisuiyuri's points move at a speed slightly quicker than a regular thrown kunai, due to being powered by fūton chakra and Narihira's able to control the path the points take up to 30m.

Color her impressed, the brat actually avoided her surprise attack; even better, his counter slash landed. But to his dismay, even slashing at her appendage only severed it for so long before the threads pulled back together, causing her to rapidly recall her limb. She looked at Nari with cold eyes as she felt her hearts move to the side, he was moving for a spear lunge. Well, if he wants it, let's give it to him. Kuni grinned as she charged at Nari's spear, embedding the weapon clean through her as she gripped the end closest to Nari with surprising strength. Disable swinging the toy so he just has to dance, it was Kuni's sole idea as she gripped the spear even tighter.

"Forget what you have planned." She felt the spear trying to fight her to let go, she could feel all the blades of wind stabbing at her to let go. It'd take more than a minor inconvenience to deter the Chūnin from her onslaught, she tried to pull and yank Nari off balance before striking him incredibly hard in the face. The girl didn't even attempt to hold back, half of learning about speed is knowing your limits. The Mikatakujira probably took his training more seriously than Nari himself with that punch. Kunikunosaku, if she succeeded at knocking him away, would pull out the spear taking her hand to toss it a great distance using her long limb.

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. Nari gritted his teeth when Kuni impaled herself on his spear. She was being a horrible monster-lady and it did a number on him to scare him. So much so, that when she lunged with her arm he slid back along the spear before letting go completely. Hisuiyuri would be angry about it later, but for now, Nari used his jutsu to propel his speed and jump over her. It would allow him to get behind her, but also entirely avoid the punch. The two jades that were hovering on the fringes flew forward again, aiming beneath Nari as he leapt, hurling towards Kuni's shoulders.

Furthermore, he would aim to land on the wide flat of spearhead, right above the four remaining jades. He would land on the blade, using his weight as a counterweight to try and unceremoniously tip Kuni backwards that if she did not get out of being impaled immediately she would end up on the ground with four shredding spikes of the spiky poking into her back.

He could get his weapon back eventually, and apologize to the spear profusely, but first he needed to either fight her off. She was truly a monstrous beast, and he did not like this at all… it was as if she were grossly lording her weird tentacle powers over him. Did she do this to everyone? Nari couldn't imagine being friends with someone so arrogant, not like this. Seemed like the girl he knew really was dead. This was someone who would rather try and injure someone when they asked for help. It was beyond his friend-making capabilities.

The boy was able to leap his way from Kuni's strike, letting go of his spear mid-yank. It annoyed her to no end as the boy danced around her like some toy. The Mikatakujira grew more aggravated as the jade daggers he launched found their way to impale her shoulders. The spears in her shoulders combined with the cutting by the actual weapon in her torso was a pain to begin with, Nari landing on the crest as a counterweight made her predicament that much more difficult. The Mikatakujira felt the weight shift downwards on her back and continuing to stand she tilted her head up as far as she could manage to look at Nari. The girl practically exploded and came back together next to the spear, folding her arms as the boy would descend and stand on his spear.

"Is the spear that important for you to learn to dodge and not something else." As she finished speaking, the girl flung burning ash at Nari's eyes. Looking at him with a smile as the ash sparks practically exploded. Kunikunosaku stared at the boy, waiting for some reaction. She was pretty certain that damage would easily cancel the Genjutsu she placed on him, but right now, he had more to worry about than previously if the ash hit its mark. The Mikatakujira would rush at him, prior to spinning around him, if the boy was unlucky, her fists would smash into his back.

"I hope your training pays off, this is painful for even me to watch." Kunikunosaku stated, a slight worry in her voice she is starting to overdo it, but that might be a dual-edged sword, that she sees him as an opponent on her level. That or she is just fed up with the whole thing already.

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

The user briefly bursts into several body parts which become engulfed in tendrils, only to quickly pull themselves back together. The user is capable of separating their hearts in any matter they wish. This technique is often used defensively to dodge, but the tendrils can wrap around anything near the point of unification.

DESCRIPTION:
Without the use of hand-seals, the user will form a collection of burning ash in their hand and throw it at high speeds. Upon contact with a solid object, the ash will explode into a small (one meter in diameter) of burning hot ash. It can cause minor burns and cause intermediate damage to eyes and respiratory system. A clean hit blinding a person until they are able to receive medical attention. Alternatively it can be used to ignite flammable objects or set off traps. The jutsu can be used in quick succession but is not overly lethal.

DESCRIPTION:
A maneuver best used as a parry or feint when the opponent is also going to strike back. The user rushes at the enemy with a fist raised up and acting like they're going to throw a punch but when they are half a foot away from their target they quickly pull their body into a spin and twirl around so that they are behind them. Once in position they release their fist into a hard strike into the center of the enemy's back.
