To say Yuuta was impressed would be an understatement… This entire time he had been viewing the three of them as children and not shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. Displaying such high levels of maturity brought on a paradigm shift within their Jounin. Yuuta decided quickly that he would no longer underestimate three genin. Of course this also meant that he would no longer cut corners for them either. Wahei was the first to answer Yuuta's question. "That is a Noble dream Wahei, the core makings of a true medic-nin. I'm sure you'll revolutionize the medical world. Don't get deterred by naysayers, so long as you do what you believe in you'll make the world a better place, one patient at a time"
"Never forget, hate is the most useless of all emotions and Success is the best revenge." Yuuta felt Wahei's words on a deeper level than the children realized. Yuuta's own reason for becoming a shinobi was impossible due to how fleeting the human experience was. Still, the man never ceased his ill-fated quest for wisdom and information. No matter how improbable Wahei's dream was, Yuuta would support him in his endeavors. "Eight Thousand, Many Flows Misery Cleaver, Wahei, the Consecration of Eternal Life" Yuuta whispered, an overly exaggerated epithet meant to only be known by Yuuta himself.
Shigure went next, the young heir was more forward with his goals than the Jounin would have thought. "We all have the choice to decide our own destiny. There have always been people like this, Shigure. People who think they know what's best, who decide what people should see and read and listen to, who ultimately try to shape how other people think and act. I've spent my entire life refuting their ideology" he'd give Shigure a bit of advice and insight in how he dealt with the expectations of being clan heir.
He was surprised to hear Shigure wanted to become a squad leader. For Yuuta it was entirely different… at least in the beginning. Yuuta didn't become a Jounin sensei because he wanted to become the "Bad Ass Mentor with a Heart of Gold". His reasons for the decision were utterly and completely selfish in nature. The man wanted a team so that he could go on missions in and outside of the nation. Although, he could have done this in any capacity within Konohagakure's military. Other positions such as ANBU captain or Jounin Hancho interfered with his responsibility to the hidden leaf's orphanage.
Eventually, the shinobi Yuuta had the chance to guide unknowingly left an imprint on the man that is so profound, that Yuuta would give his own life for any child or shinobi who he's acknowledged as a pupil. At his core the man was a cold and calculated scholar and strategist. As such in the beginning he thought his emotional connections were a weakness and deterrent to his ultimate goal of uncovering the myriad truths of the world. Yuuta decided to leave this fact hidden from the team. Nevertheless, he still lauded Shigure for the goal.
"I commend you for your desire to folster the next generation, Shigure. You will be a great sensei. From one Sensei to another, remember that if you tell people everything you take away their opportunity to learn" The man said, pausing for a moment just as Shigure had for the second part of his answer. Yuuta couldn't relate to the Shigure's dream for his clan, as the Gure wasn't a founding clan nor were they historically native to Hi no Kuni. Unlike the founding Hi no Kuni clans, the Gure clan as a whole were spread throughout the world. Konoha's Gure, Yuuta's family was simply a branch of a much larger clan that spanned across several countries.
"Great change always comes down to the actions of a single person" was the only thing Yuuta could think to say; in his experience even when supported by close friends or countless nobody's, a single person would triumph within their stock. So much so that those supporting them would be driven to not only join them but extol them for their cause among other things.
"Heavenly Demon's Gaze, Hyuga Shigure, True God's Mighty Fist, the Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust" Yuuta unconsciously muttered another epithet.
Yoru was the last to answer the question, much to Yuuta's surprise as he thought Yoru would have been first. Not even Yuuta knew why he felt this way, he simply just did. It was becoming more and more obvious that Yuuta didn't see the genin's timidness as being different. Instead, Yuuta simply thought the child was harboring a dark secret that required extremely high clearance to know. Yuuta's imaginative assumption combined with Yoru's reserved personality is the reason for why Yuuta thought the genin would react or speak before the others.
"No dream is inferior or small… Every dream or goal starts with an idea, but it is the people that move this idea forward" Yuuta was completely taken aback by Yoru's response. The Jounin thought this moment was Yoru's big evil master plan reveal but in fact it just so happened to be the opposite. Of course it wouldn't change Yuuta's illogical assumptions of the young Nara. Yuuta instead would edit his views to fit Yoru's response, now he thought that Yoru had committed an immoral task that rewarded power at the price of something extremely valuable, something as valuable as human souls. It was the only logical reason Yoru believed that people deserved a second chance as it also includes him.
"Good or bad is a matter of perspective. I read somewhere that there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. If we strive to understand those who think differently than us, then shinobi just might be able to forgive. Your dream will be arduous but I believe you will find those who might not hail from the same lands as you or have similar experiences but will feel the same as you. And when that happens all of you will succeed." Yuuta said genuinely despite his personal doubts of whether or not Yoru is really a genin…
"Fruitless Flower of the War-torn World, Nara Yoru, The Great Black Heaven, Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, Dairokuten" is yet another epithet.
"The reason I became a shinobi"... Yuuta started, "Was to simply know. I see things in this world and I wonder at the life of the person who carefully crafted or used said thing. For example the hand seals, who created them? The reason, methods the person, who took the time to create something that is technically immortal because hand seals are still being used till this day. Although, it isn't just shinobi arts that I wonder about and want to know." He paused momentarily as the ground beneath then began to rise in elevation, making it a bit more tiring to track through the large hi no kunian forest.
Yuuta's search for knowledge was always his greatest strength... and his weakness. He is many things, dangerous and devious, cunning and deadly, a good friend and an implacable enemy. Despite this, he comes from an age when a man's word was indeed precious. Before one of them could ask why he wondered about seemingly useless things, he started talking again. "At first I didn't know why I wanted to know, it was just natural to me. Now I know that it's because someone has to remember. Some one has to know and remember the shinobi who shot the first bolt of lightning, the area where the first clans dwelled, the person who tilled that area's field. Who was born and lived and died, who loved and laughed and cried. It is only when no one remembers, that you are truly lost. That is the true death…" the man finished with a smile, wondering if he had gotten too deep for his batch of exemplary future Jounin. "After all... We shinobi are nothing more than the sum of our memories and experiences".
"Pure Enlightenment Eighth Consciousness, Preta Realm, Holy Kannon - Salakayas, the Great Nirvana Sword - Seven-Branched Sword Gure Yuuta" as he finished the last epithet the man's eyes twinkled with child-like awe.
