dung is more valuable
than any precious metal.
you cannot grow food in gold.

A glare here…
Another one there...
The not so subtle expressions of disgust
Loudly whispered slurs…

The welcoming party that Yuuta had envisioned in his head was far from what awaited him upon his return to Konohagakure. However, he was not back in the hidden village for himself, today he was to meet his new genin team. So he'd ignore the taunts, curse words and attacks on his character in order to at least fulfill his obligation to the hidden leaf. However, underneath the facade of normalcy, Yuuta was in actuality, spiraling from the throes of an existential crisis. Seeing his first batch of students seemingly moving on without him, coupled with the fallout from his own actions during their chunin exams created a doubt in his mind of his own worth.

The aftermath of Yuki no Kuni's chunin exam was exhausting on both sides and even more so for Yuuta. Some of his peers, and village officials were quick to rally by his side ready to defend their brethren, others were slower to come to his aide but did so nevertheless. However, the ones that voiced their opinions the loudest and affected him the most were the few that believed him to be guilty of attacking Mizukage Kaguya Minako and her child.

Such negative views of him in the aftermath, especially against a child culminated into him questioning if his life held any worth, did he even have allies and those who are siding with him now are they doing it for him or for their own gain? The truth of the matter was, it didn't matter if he were innocent or not… Yuuta could have easily been sentenced to execution for his actions in Yuki no Kuni and from what he saw in his peers at that time, only a few would have disagreed with such a course of action.

The heated rhetoric between Kirigakure, Yukigakure and their allies nearly sundered the fragile peace between the nations, however war was averted… at least for now. Yuuta was not without fault; however and was still punished. The sentence for his reckless actions was sequestration of international travel, literally imprisoning him within Hi no kuni. The punishment was viewed as being far too lenient by the opposition. However it was forged uniquely for Gure Yuuta… as he was the man who lauded his own freedom.

Walking up to the training grounds brought back memories of Issei, Roku and the gang. However, the sight of his new squad pulled him from his thoughts before they had a chance to turn against him. "Oi! I guess you guys are the new team three? Yikes they don't make genin like they used to huh? Hehe hehe it's a joke it's a joke. I'm Gure Yuuta, your Sensei and leader of the Gure clan"

Good luck, try not to get maimed on your first meeting. Yuuta has unconventional training methods. Even more so for punishments

SENSEI

As per usual, Shigure arrived at the Training Field earlier than most. The boy was usually up with the sun and always eager, and when they finally got word that their sensei was ready to meet them, he got excited, if not a bit hyped. He heard of Yuuta - not much - but enough to know he was strong, even if a unusual. He knew his father was not happy with the assignment of Yuuta as his sensei, but considering Shigure's own issues, he wasn't in a position to demand much more from the village, so he just accepted it and hoped for the best.

The team also showed up a bit before the sensei as well, and they were all in good spirits as they had just finished a mission together and it was an absolute success. Figures, it was a D-Rank Mission retrieving a lost cat, but still, for Genins, that was part of their routine and excelling at that was a good sign. He was also satisfied with the teamwork they displayed so far and the potential to grow together. It was a great team indeed, and hopefully their sensei would be able to help them develop into even better shinobi, if they were lucky.

Yuuta arrived shortly after and Shigure immediately stared at him and bowed respectfully. "Gure-sensei!" he exclaimed. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you." he said shortly before hearing Yuuta's first words, which were a bit off-putting to say the least. After the bow, Shigure stared at the man with one arched brows, pondering upon the words he just said. "Genins like before? Is he disappointed in us? But... He just met us..." he thought to himself, unsure on how to feel, until the man laughed it as a joke, which was somewhat relieving.

Shigure cracked a kind smile on his face. "I know you probably know that already, but I'm Hyuuga Shigure, heir to the Hyuuga clan." he briefly introduced himself.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

"Déjà vu".
"Ever get that feeling of Déjà vu?- Lena Oxton (a.k.a. Tracer), Overwatch.

Ground for the tripod!

Wahei was starting to get used of receiving messages or even sometimes a short visit from Shigure calling him to duty. That specific day, though, a different call came around. It was from someone someone else. And the feeling of what have been waited and expected for so long was filled with enthusiasm and joy. - Oh my... this is it! Isn't it? It really is! - Wahei started jumping driven by the joy of his emotions in the middle of his house entrance. After he get back into control of his emotion, he immediately started to get things ready to the meeting.

When he arrived at the training camp, he noticed he wasn't the first to get there. Shigure was already there and Wahei shouted from far as soon as he recognized him - HEY! BOSS! - he speed up to get closer to them - Good morning! - How nice is to finally meet our jonin, right!? - so he extended his fist to Shigure.

Afterwards he immediately turned to Yuuta - Woow! How nice! - I mean - you really look like that badass super anti-heroes that kill everyone else in the crime scene like "PEW PAF TOW'. - I LOVED IT! - I mean, I'm so amused that I've totally forgot my bet with Shigure that someday I will startle at him! Right, Boss? - this is Wahei naive nature completely pushing aside protocols - Oh, and I think it's important for you to know that he is not blind. It's quite the opposite. He sees anything! - he cracked a thoughtful expression - Oh and also we have decided that he would be our leader. - I mean, that's why I call him "boss", you know? - Because he leads us - and then the thoughtful became, like, over thoughtful - But wait as the jonin-sensei you're the leader so now we have to call you the boss, right? But I like calling "Boss" as the "boss" so maybe I can call you "Boss Boss", or maybe just "sensei" should you please - yeah... all of that... all of sudden. Try to understand, he's been waiting for this for a very long time - By the way, my name is Kazuhira Tsukuru Wahei! - but you can call me just Wahei if you want - he cracked a honest and friendly smile.

Yoru was the latter one to arrive so as soon as they all get together and the jonin get the chance of introducing himself, Wahei observed Shigure introduction and realized that he was not following the protocols taught by Isami-san on how to behave before important people and superiors - Oh! Right. Darn! - I mean, hajimemashite, Gure Yuuta sensei-san- he not only exaggerated on the politeness but also bowed like if he was trying to make some kind of yoga move by trying to make his head reach his foots. The surprisingly part is that he pretty much did it showing that Wahei was really and strangely flexible - even for a Shinobi.

He basically unwillingly ignored the joke part because he thought that it was something that he wouldn't be able to completely understand until he excel his human skills. Albeit he'd agree with the part that he still have far way to go in terms of general improvement. He just cracked his Wahei pet-smile and waited for further instructions with certain anxiety.

"From the very moment we're thrown into this world, we're fated to bring each other nothing but pain, suffering and misery. I was also blindly obsessed with a trivial and irrational need for vengeance. But I was left behind. Alone. Forgotten. Abandoned. Forsaken. But now, the fog has been truly lifted. One can never run from its ghosts. And that’s exactly all that I am. A lost memory. An undying shadow, in this world of light. From now on, I’ll have to live up to this semi-charmed kind of life. Regardless of this phantom pain. This is my fate. This is my Destiny. It’s not the light which will guide us through the darkness, but the darkness that shall guide us through the light. Never forget. Always remember."

age 13 years old birthday July 12 rank Genin occupation Genin Team 3
Yoru's night was difficult, once again the boy turned the night training his jutsus and also his mind, constantly meditating or playing shogi with his father, his biggest challenge at the moment as his father looked like a genius monster, but he thinks he inherited his intelligence.

Due to the difficult night yoru hadn't slept even 10 minutes, he didn't sleep, with apparent tiredness, yoru washes his face, rubbing very well to see if the tiredness would go away and it didn't, the boy could sleep in any corner, he could be even the hardest of rocks, but he could sleep on it, he gets dressed and eats his usual breakfast, simple but tasty.

Yoru leaves his house and finally goes to training field, where he would finally meet his sensei, the boy was even curious, but his tiredness made him not seem to have any kind of reaction.

After a long walk, the young Nara finally arrives, rubbing his eyes, he sees Shigure and Wahei and says:

-O-ohayo S-Shigure-san, W-wahei-san...

As soon as he finishes his speech the boy yawns loudly, denoting high tiredness, the boy was so tired he didn't even see the man who was there, he looked a little taller than Yoru, he was good looking, as soon as he realizes that he says:

-I'M SORRY, I-I DIDN'T SEE YOU, YOU'RE Y-YUTA-SENSEI,AREN'T YOU? I'M R-REALLY SORRY, NARA YORU A-AT YOUR DISPOSAL.

And then the boy's shy nature finally appeared, the boy was suddenly very blushed, but somehow tried to calm down and appear ready for whatever Yuuta was going to say.

To remain unknown
in this Shinobi world:
that indeed is real power.

To be completely honest, Yuuta didn't know what to expect from his new squad. The former team three, Issei, Rokurou and the gang had taught Yuuta just as much as he taught them. The bonds that had been forged wasn't something they had actively worked towards. The Yuuta of that time viewed his role as Sensei to be nothing more than a job given to him by the powers that be. Certain notions like friendship, comrades and more importantly love were as alien to Yuuta as he were to the rest of society. "Please, no formalities. Just call me Sensei"

"From this moment till the day you take your last breath you three will be my students. And for my students the world is yours for the taking" he said evenly, his body facing Shigure more than the others, though his words were meant for the entire group. He'd pause briefly to shift his weight and reposition his body in order to include everyone

"Why? Because Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one."

Before Yuuta could explain any further one of them would speak... and speak… And speak… The more he talked the more Yuuta realized Wahei was more similar to Yuuta than the others, as far as eccentricity was concerned. Yuuta was nothing if not patient, allowing Wahei to relieve the excitement and jumbled thoughts that probably flooded the boy's mind the moment he had arrived. After Wahei had finished Yuuta chuckled a bit and decided to have a bit of fun for himself as well. Walking over to Wahei slowly, he'd kneel down in front of the genin, smiling before he'd speak again.

"Boss you say? You only see me as a puny little being like that? I'm the type that cannot sleep when underestimated. I can split the very ground itself and destroy entire swaths of land, leaving an inhabitable wasteland in my wake" he paused abruptly, and turned his head back and forth, looking for someone or something. In that moment Yuuta could have sworn that someone hidden was watching him. Chill bumps appeared along his skin as if a ghoul or ghost that was previously hidden, had finally revealed itself.

"you're y-yuta-sensei,aren't you?"

The unassuming, timid boy seemingly appeared out of thin air, catching Yuuta off guard and causing him to break character. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" the Jounin blurted before realizing it was the final member of his new team. The man wasn't trying to be mean, in fact Yuuta wasn't sure when Yoru had joined them or if he had been here the entire time. In fact, the child's sudden appearance… or well Yuuta's sudden realization that he was there had scared the Jounin into nearly activating Scatter, one of his many spore related jutsu and a Gure's natural defense mechanism.

"Ok, ok, enough with all the greetings. Let's head to the administration building. We're gonna go on our first mission as a team toooday. Oh and Yoru we need to work on your entrance but welcome to the team".

Yuuta's training methods were unconventional and most didn't approve of him training their children, however if said genin could withstand the man's blue-orange morality they would become exponentially stronger.

Blue-orange Morality: basically means his ideals and morals are so alien to others that one couldn't place him as being good or evil. THUS IS THE YUUUTAH. GOOD LUCK

"If comrades that you trust gather around you, hope can take physical form" - Kakashi.

Who is your "Boss" now!?

Wahei simply lose it when Yuuta came closer to him and kneel down. Not that he was scare or anything like that, but he get absolutely confuse. "W-why? But he is the Boss-Boss. The sensei I mean... I shoulda... W-why he? This is confusing" - indeed. He froze while looking into Yuuta's eyes as if the answer where somewhere deep down there.

The words spoken by Yuuta, on the other hand, was kind of "clarifying" for him, albeit Yoru's arrival took over the chance of him to proclame that from now on he'd be the "groundshaker-boss-boss". Something that he'd forgetting right away because of the startle and overreact of Yuuta after Yoru showed-up. - Oh! This is Yoru. He is the third member of our team and a very good one! - at this point I'm assuming that you all had figure out that Wahei was literally answering the question.

The good part is that Wahei get closer to the boy to salute him with a traditional thumbs-up bro' fist. Deeply he was expecting that Shigure join them but he didn't know if would actually be the case, but he sustained that puppy-smiling face to him

As soon as Yuuta get his air back, he'd then give the instructions to the team. They'd have to move towards the administration building to claim for a mission - "I thought we'd have a test or something based on my previous experience, but probably it will not be the case" - Wahei nodded and waited for them to move forward, positioning side to side with Yoru and whispering - Mate, you' lookin' like a zombie. Should you've been having trouble sleeping, I might have something that might help', you know? - he cracked a marauder smile - I call it magic pills - Wahei had his time struggling with insomnia and, well, his mum' was a doctor.

TEAM IS COMPLETE

They were finally all there, Team 3 of the Hidden Leaf, and that was exciting. Yuuta seemed to be a bit unusual as far as senseis go, but to be fair, none of Shigure's senseis were really normal; Natsuo was his uncle, so their relationship was different, Saya was... odd to say the least, and not Yuuta seemed to be quite laidback for a Jounin, which was almost reassuring, as they were not the most strict and stern of people - far from that.

As he had already expected, Wahei was going nuts and that was funny and entertaining, but in a way, it seemed like Wahei found himself at home with Yuuta as his sensei, because with the few words exchanged, Shigure could already tell the man was eccentric as well, maybe not as much as his teammate and friend, or perhaps even more so. It would be interesting to get to know him, and see how the team would grow together. Yoru seemed to be happy as well, reassured to be able to now rely on the guidance of a truly experienced Shinobi. To Shigure, that also came as some sort of relief. Not that he abhorred his role as team captain while their sensei was busy, far from that, but if he was to be honest, he didn't feel like he was fully capable just yet, he was still striving to get better, to become a good shinobi, and he knew he had a long way ahead of him.

Surprisingly, Yuuta mentioned that they were about to go on a mission together and that made Shigure arch his brows. "Dammit... I didn't bring enough food..." he thought to himself, sighing deeply. He had everything else with him, his ninja tools, his head gear, but food was also important. While Wahei spoke to Yoru and to Yuuta about a test for the team, and commented on how tired the young Nara looked, Shigure thought it was the appropriate time to bring the most pressing matter. "Sensei... Can we stop to pick up some food before the mission? I mean... If we are going on a mission, I don't think we have enough for the journey and stuff..." he said, scratching the back of his neck.

Food was important, after all.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

A new Mission?
What about the food?!

Seeing how funny the situation had been created there, Yoru looks away to the right and laughs shyly, the boy's laugh was usually sheepish and cute, his cheeks turn red, Yoru was really happy with his team and his friends , Yoru didn't consider them as colleagues, but as his best friends, they were his first real friends so he didn't want to screw it up.

His sensei looked very scared by his sudden arrival, it also made the boy very scared yelling along with Yuuta:

-IM SORRY! I DIDNT WANT TO SCARE YOU Y-YUTA-SENSEI.

Yoru was scared thinking if his sensei would do something, after all he didn't know the man very well and still didn't know his intentions, not that he thought he was a pervert or something, Yoru directs his gaze to Yuuta again that talks about the boy's entrance, he replies still scared:

-S-sorry Yuuta-sensei, it won't happen again, I-I promise!

And then he reaches out to shake his hand as if he's actually making a deal, his look was still shy but there was a little flare of determination there.

Another yawn, followed by another and so the cycle was perpetuated, Yoru was so tired that he didn't even hear what Shigure said, something about food and he replied, visibly tired:

-Shigure-san, I-I brought some snacks with me, y-you can have it.

He opens a backpack full of snacks, even too much for a boy of that age and that physical, since Yoru is a very thin boy:

-I-I get h-hungry in situations like this too, so you c-could take it, if you w-want.

He stopped talking, but thinking in something else, then he started thinking aloud:

-I even wanted to train with sensei, but I'm not that strong, I only know one genjutsu and my clan's hijutsu, and these days my dad is getting better at shogi, so I have to use my head even more, maybe that will help me, I think. It'll be nice!

And once begun
change
cannot be reversed.

After getting somewhat familiar with each other Team three, with Yuuta in the lead headed for the administration building. At first glance Yuuta didn't think the three of them would have what it takes to survive his particular methods of training. However, in such a small amount of time his new batch of genin had changed his mind. It seemed as if there was an unspoken method when it came to assigning him genin. Yuuta always had his own opinions when it came to the genin the village chose for him. In his opinion he was always given the unconventional genin who required a different type of teacher to help them excel. Which isn't to say they were weaker in comparison to their peers.

Rather, Yuuta's genin usually had certain political, biological or social traits that required a teacher who was used to dealing with these types of individuals. Yuuta's current batch of genin proved his theory to be true, "Hyuga Shigure, current heir to the Hyuga clan, Kazuhira Wahei, questionable birth, even more so questionable future, and Nara Yoru, genius of the Nara" Yuuta thought to himself as they proceeded on to one of Konohagakure's main thoroughfares.

It was an odd way of recognizing the Jounin's ability and leadership skills however Yuuta genuinely enjoyed the praise. Still, the man wasn't without his flaws, a statement that was more true now than ever before. Yuuta's goal in life that birthed his greatest strength and strongest weakness to discover the ultimate truth of the world. Whatever that may be… His desire to gain a deeper understanding of the world is particularly strong that it could lead him down an unforgivable path in life. However, rather than desiring such understanding to assert his control over the world around him, Yuuta's dream is purely about understanding or knowing.

But the truth is a double-edged sword; it is a dangerous thing… Shigure would be the one to pull Yuuta from his thoughts, which was best as had only just met. It wouldn't be in genin's best interest if Yuuta had suddenly succumbed to his more dangerous idiosyncrasies. "Sure thing! Shigure We'll need to stock up before setting off anyways. You know guys, I was thinking before we went on our first mission as a complete team. We should first get to know each other better. What better way to do that than a field trip… well you could call it a mini vacation"

Stopping abruptly to turn and speak to his genin, Yuuta decided spontaneously that Team three would be leaving the village for several weeks. "I've decided that since the three of you have already completed official missions together. Then you guys are ready for the next stage in your training. Considered a tradition of my squadron, every genin who is assigned to team three with me as their sensei is required to live within the wilderness together as a team. This includes me as well" Yuuta's tone was an odd combination of brevity and sincerity. He spoke lightly of them leaving the comforts and protection of the village yet the genin would be able to tell that he wasn't joking in the least.

Contradiction Personified… Team Three was about to learn just who Gure Yuuta is. "Don't worry, it'll be difficult and far from your comfort zone, however I'll be with you the entire time. So long as I'm alive no one will harm you… at least not fatally" Yuuta can be called many things - dangerous and idiotic, illogical and deadly, a good friend and an implacable enemy - however he comes from an age when a man's word was indeed precious, and so he gave his word to the genin before him.

Should they just so happen to excel in the madman's machinations, the three of them would return to Konohagakure stronger then they were when they departed. If they fail then Yuuta would strip them of their genin status and return them to the academy; regardless of their current missions success rate or prowess.

And it begins...

SNACKS

Shigure stared at Yoru with his eyes glowing in happiness that could barely be contained. "For reals?! Thank you so much! I will totally accept your offer, Ruru!" his tone was quite excited and he gladly took one of Yoru's snacks and devoured it with one bite. "Delicious!" he exclaimed while still having a full mouth. Then, when Yuuta mentioned that they needed to stock up, Shigure nodded enthusiastically and gave the man a thumbs up. The man also mentioned that they should go on some sort of mini-vacation and that was rather unusual. "Vacation, sensei?" he asked, feeling quite amused with the unexpected proposal.

But before he could say anything else, he heard Yoru belittling himself, and that made him stare at the boy and shake his head. He swallowed the rest of the food and then approached the younger yet taller boy. "Stop selling yourself short! I don't know any genjutsu, so in a way, you are a hundred percent better than me with Genjutsu!" he said, cracking a gentle and kind smile to his friend.

Yuuta went on the explain how this vacation of sorts was gonna work, and once he was done, it really didn't feel like vacation, but more like a training experience. Seemed like - despite Yuuta's causal tone - it would be quite challenging and potentially dangerous, although not fatally dangerous? Intriguing, and to some extent exciting. They were getting ready for a Chuunin Exam, so this experience would probably be very valuable. Shigure nodded to the man with a a burning determination in his eyes. "It sounds like a good plan! I'm sure we will do well, we are honing our teamwork. I believe in our team!" the young Hyuuga said.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

"It's not important whether the things you do are large or small, what's important is the magnitude of the feelings you have..." - Yamato

Training-time Vacation.

Since Yoru maintained that shy look into his face after Wahei offered him one of his magic pills, he understood that the boy simply wouldn't want it. So he shrugged and get back into his place in the 'walking' formation they had unwillingly assumed.

Now that was a word Wahei had never heard before in his life. Kazuhira never took any vacations as a doctor and not even has he as her step-son and student. Actually, most of the good and cuddling times he had with her mom was... well, long time ago. Even before he had arrived in Konoha.

But Wahei was paying attention to the details since going on a vacation not only was something absolutely new but also would mean more social experiences with the team. Probably sleeping in the same place, or even taking bathes together. That level of social interaction with close friends that Wahei had never been through. He was nodding to his own mental expectations from what would come next from it, and the 'natural' questions were made.

- Oh. So it's not a vacation-vacation. But a training-time vacation. - for one short moment it seemed that Wahei get disappointed on not having a real vacation but soon his mind startled to the fact that this way he would have the best of both sides: - So basically we will have both training and social interactions? - he eyes get filled of expectations, staring at the jonin.

He paid attention to the details and as soon as authorized, he went home to prepare things up to the upcoming event. - So, where can we guys meet up? - This time, for a change, he'd be the first to arrive as he wouldn't have much to do. Actually, Wahei didn't have a lot of things despite of his big house and good financial standing. So basically what he had to do is grab the things he daily uses and stuck it into a larger backpack - he would have to grant some spaces for books too. - I'm ready to go! Are you guys ready too?  - he'd shout out as soon as the last one arrives.

Yoru sees Wahei talking about a kind of magic pills, the name was very suggestive, so Yoru was unsure if it was a kind of drug or something that would really help in battle, the boy politely apologizes, refusing the offer.

The boy is curious with the idea of going to a forest for "vacation", it would be a good opportunity to show his value and his knowledge, although he doesn't have much to do with the experience, yoru knows very well how to keep away insects, predators and even set up special places with tree branches and some resistant leaves in the environment, the trips with his father will certainly help the boy a lot in this regard, a thought pops into Yoru's head, starting to pound, until he decides to tell it:

-S-so, we could also split what each would bring extra too, like repellents and i-incense to keep the bugs away and a-also a pot so we can boil the water and drink it from a healthier way, what do you guys think?

Bringing the question into the air, Yoru waits for an answer, staring at his sensei, he was analyzing him, his smooth features giving him an aesthetically beautiful face in conjunction with his hair, though he didn't seem to care much about it as his hair was always messed up, was a little taller than Yoru, just looking at him the boy felt a sense of security, he certainly was a very strong person and just feeling that Yoru wanted to be like him.

"We'll meet at the eastern gates. Pack only the essentials or anything that is considered your Shinobi equipment. Alright, get going." Yuuta said indifferently, before turning and walking away from the group. Yuuta headed towards the market district to replenish his own shinobi equipment and buy a map. Being the man that he is, he didn't want to repeat any adventure he had already gone on. So, once he acquired a map of Hi no Kuni, he'd immediately draw an X on Kawa, Seinaru and Sagyou, his three most visited places within the country.

It didn't take the man long to gather his things, not because he was being quick about it but more so because his weapon and item arsenal wasn't large. Yuuta didn't rely on the tools of trade because his fighting style is the epitome of unconventional. He relied solely on his tactical genius, clan jutsu and immediate environment. Being able to rearrange the battlefield also aided his improvised fighting style.

Making his way to the eastern gates, Yuuta would scan the map for the perfect region for his team to call a temporary home. "It's about time someone checked on Daigo, Konoha's relationship with his town has deteriorated ever since it's time as a military checkpoint" Yuuta said to himself, once his choice was confirmed he'd stop and utilize the Gure clan's migration Jutsu. The Jounin's body sunk into the earth as if he were a plant or in Yuuta's case a fungus. Afterwards, he'd use the ability to traverse the Hi no kunian streets, until he reached the meeting point.Yuuta was the last to arrive again, however he'd get cool points for his entrance… Which is technically just Yuuta thinking so.

Nevertheless, it would be the first time the new squad witnessed one of his clan's abilities. He wasn't sure if any of them were the type to study up or at least get some type of information on who would be training them. So he didn't know what to expect when he arrived and grew from the ground between them. As usual, Yuuta's head would emerge from the ground first, "Nice! We're all here. I've collected my thing" the head said as his body continued to appear "I also took the time to decide where we'll be headed, though I particularly feel the need to tell you guys" by your time his torso and upper body were free from the earth.

"We'll see if you can figure it out along the way. Would be a cool challenge, don't you think?" He continued as if he weren't just a bodiless head, then a legless torso. The sheer indifference and obliviousness to how others would react to his emergence was typical of the Jounin. The fact of the matter was that Yuuta knew exactly how his abilities affected those around him and he never missed a chance to mess with someone, be it ally, enemy and yes even students. No one was safe from his manipulations and he lauded his skill at unnerving people.

"Shall we be off then? He added, his body now completely free from the earth, standing in the middle of the three genin.

PREPARATION

Shigure ran home to get prepared for this little crazy trip of theirs. He restocked on his basic shinobi tools, made sure to bring two decent water containers, as well as to pack some food rations, enough for a week or so. They were not very taste, but they would keep him alive and nourished, and that was usually enough when in a survival setting. Of course he would also grab a few Onigiri for now, so he could indulge in a last decent meal before being deprived of all the delicious goodies he was so fond of. Once he had everything, he informed his clan of where he was going, but since he was being accompanied by his designated sensei, he did not need to wait for authorization from his father, so he left.

He quickly made his way to the rendezvous point, the eastern gates, and once he was there, he saw nobody, meaning he was the first one to show up. "Oh? I was sure Yuuta-sensei would be here by n...!" but before he could finish his sentence, the Jounin showed up. The way he did so, however, was very unusual, unlike anything Shigure had ever witnessed. "Is that a Kekkei Genkai?" he wondered, but decided not to ask about. He quickly bowed to the sensei and then waited until everyone else was there.

Yuuta didn't share their destination and instead issued a challenge to see if they would figure it out during their trip. "So the first test is regarding our ability to be aware of our surroundings and geographical knowledge, uh? Interesting. But as long as it is in the Land of Fire, I should be able to figure it out." he thought to himself, feeling confident due to the amount of missions he had already completed, far beyond most Genin he knew. Then again, he had been a Genin for the longest time, which was a bit embarrassing as well.

Shigure nodded to the man when he asked if they were ready. "I'm good to go, sensei." he responded in a rather polite, yet gentle tone.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

"Endure and Surive!" - Ellie, The Last of Us (Part I)

The "Where to" charade.

Wahei was the second to arrive at the place - at least that was what he thought until Gure's manificent entrance. - Hey there, Boss! - he shouted as soon as he get sight over Shigure - secretly he was checking for his reactions in a sort of way to learn how close could he get 'naturally' in order to - one day - startle him on surprise. - Hope Yoru didn't fell sleep on his way here - he said thinking of the possibility the other teammate tiredness could take its toll on the poor boy. Eventually he shrugged since there ain't much they could do but wait for him and the jonin.

Eventually both of the would show up. Wahei mouth opened widely as the jonin literally came from the ground like some sort of growing-tree (fungus) spreading out to live. - Holy shit! - he shouted, completely excited - Sensei! I really need to study your body closely after this mission! - his words... always full of innocence, in that very naive tone - Did you noticed that you just - How can I say this? - 'sprout' from the ground like some kind of plant-tree-whatever? THIS IS AWESOME! I could make wonders with your cells in future. - I mean, should you allow me of course - Or I can simply wait shit to happen and take samples from your blood, albeit natural extractions would be cleaner and ideal for analysis' - huuuum... - I loved it. Really. Can you do that again, please? - his eyes was shining enhanced with the most hyped emotion. It was kind of becoming a pattern tho. Talkative Wahei around the jonin. But it was natural since he not knew much about him and that peculiar ability.

- Oh. Well. Not a clue. - he shrugged since for him was something totally cool not being able to tell where they were suppose to do. - I know pretty few about the geography but I'm fast learner. Whatever you need me to record, you just need to say once. Physical movements included. - he wasn't boasting, and the look on his face would tell that to the jonin - Yoru and Shigure would already knew that sincerely nature of him - But Boss could easily won this one. Right Boss? I mean, RADAR-sight mode on! - And stuff. - he opened a wide smile, not worried about competion but truly excited to the events of the day.

"From the very moment we're thrown into this world, we're fated to bring each other nothing but pain, suffering and misery.
