He had imprinted much of what he learned from the likes of Raika, Hon, Hitomi, and countless others learning like an animal might through watching and doing though there was more to it, an instinctive aspect. Though he admittedly lacked diversity, Ataru had gone to hell and back in regards to practice taking what he learned and using that craving of his to fuel what some might call an unreasonable or even hellish amount of training. To the point that despite his small frame he possessed quite the ferocious rabbit punch, relying more on agility and speed as well as honed technique rather than sheer power but in the time since she'd last seen him the boy had bulked up and grown an inch or two taller - not that he noticed. His frame of reference and ambition laid on the horizon, so the Uzumaki kept pushing; striving to meet his potential and catch up to the others who had graciously aided him upon his journey. Satisfied but not content to rest on his gains, pressing and holding his hand against the surface of the wood before clenching and striking forward within a hair's breath leaving yet another fresh indentation emblazoned within the dummy's surface.
All of a sudden his concentration came interrupted by a friendly tone speaking over their shoulder, surprise splayed across his face as he turned to look at the Hyuuga with a goofy looking smile that beamed the radiance of youth and a measure of kindness as he looked on at her with amber eyes. "Raika Sensei, its good to see you! How've you been?" He called out to the woman in a sun song welcoming tenor, his fresh headband denoting his newfound statues situated along his brow revealing the sign of the leaf village stenciled along its surface and gleaming from the Sun's cascading rays. "You bet I have, I'm even better than before and its all because of you. Arigato!" He was still the same old carefree child by the appearance of it, but there was also an underlying hardened gaze reflected within those starry pools. After all he was a Genin now, it was only natural that he would embark out on missions.
Watching as the muscle bound woman skips forward in an easygoing fashion over to the target of his wrath today, he craned his head and waited with bated breath to see what she had to say. Perhaps, if he was lucky she would decide to train with him again today and they could help each other out; Ataru not wanting to have it be as one sided anymore. As she pipes up and tells him to train alongside her, he lights up even greater. Was his hair changing colors and growing brighter? Couldn't be, perhaps it was a trick of the Sun. "Heck yeah! I'm set and ready to get 'er done!!!" Weather she knew it or not the Hyuuga had answered his little prayer and showed an interest in wanting to spar together, wondering with idle curiosity as to the technique she expresses wanting to show. No matter, as she said it'd be fun and he had no reason to doubt nor question her. Trusting her inherently watching with studious eyes as she readies themselves.
