A moniker given to Fuyuko by the younger residents of Kirigakure from her rather stoic and unemoting face matched against her pale skin. It's used in both jest and exhaustion as she's known for her strict ways and rather apathetic tendencies when it comes to training. Her eyes are said to be mirror into her perceived unimpressed demeanor. She does resent this nickname and snaps at anybody using it.

Fuyuko's parents were rather tall people, and she is no different, standing at an impressive 5'9". Her pale skin clashes against her dark hair that's kept flowing down well past her shoulders. She tends to keep it untouched while long like this and prefers it to be on display for everyone to see, though she ties it secure while off the clock and usually when dealing with assignments that aren't as important.
She tends to dress conservatively that covers most of her body in order to hide the many nicks, cuts and scars that her service to Kirigakure has awarded her in her tenure. The most notable scar is just barely visible from her chest, as discolored flesh goes from the base of her shoulder to her mid-torso area. This nearly mortal wound was received when Fuyuko was targeted by an attack during a mission, one that her team leader stepped in to shield her from at the cost of his own life.
Her clothing tends to be darker in color, with Fuyuko owning several different variations in color. Her most known look consisting of a red and black kimono that's tied with a sash in the midsection and opened in the front to allow more mobility than the average kimono. Her other kimonos offer a more regal and flowing style, being made more for festivals and ceremonies rather than an impromptu duel. These are cooler in color, ranging from light and dark blues to more fiery and bright, saturated colors that are a complete opposite to her usual wear.
Accessory wise, the woman has a flower ornament that hands on the left side of her head, a gift from a close family friend on her promotion after the Chuunin exams. It's a striking white color and comes with a few pin-like ornaments that dangle upon any little movement that comes from her head. She's content with wearing her standard issue ninja sandals on outings unless it's a special occasion, in which case a pair of wooden geta are substituted for them.
She wears the Kirigakure headband loose around her neck while off duty and tightens it firmly once on official business as a makeshift neck protector. The top rim has signs of scratches and nicks being picked off from weapons that have nearly claimed her life.
While out on missions, Fuyuko ties her hair into a long ponytail as to not get in the way of her work. She swaps her usual garb for the standard Kirigakure uniform consisting of a form fitting black shirt and pants reinforced to offer a small booster in durability at the cost of comfort. This shirt ends at the elbow, which then exposes the underside of Fuyuko's arms. Latching onto the end of the sleeve is a small arm-guard that's used as a deterrent against bladded attacks meant to slice off a limb.

Fuyuko is well known across the Kirigakure Genin squads for her absolute cold and blunt nature. Across the many squads she's been placed in charge of, many aspiring young ninjas have been met with the scornful gaze of the Yuki Onna. Her monotone speech and general apathy for people unwilling to suffer for their ambitions in life has made her a widely disliked team leader in the village. Many consider her sometimes demonic stare and visage
Fuyuko does have a hidden side to her that she does rarely show to others outside of a small handful of people. If she knows that a person is trying their absolute hardest and genuinely has reached a roadblock, she will do everything in her power to help them overcome a roadblock, provided that they put in the work. She does care for her Genin and while strict and harsh, has no issues with sacrifices being made in order for them to excel in their role.
HISTORY Fuyuko was born in 992, the year that the Sandaime Mizukage was brought into power. As a part of the Yuki clan, the child enjoyed what amenities and more that she was able to access in part because of her family's status within Kirigakure. The shinobi living within the borders of the village withstanding, she had always found a sense of pride of being within the same family as the current Mizukage and aimed to further her own legacy in comparison to his. Like many of her clan, Fuyuko's mastery over her clan's notable jutsu, Hyoton had come from a fairly young age. By the time the girl was about 6, she was able to lower the temperature of her mouth to clearly see her breath, among other little party tricks.
Her days of childhood wonderment and fun had come to an end the moment that she was of age to enter the academy. Her parents were fiercely loyal to Kirigakure and extended this same philosophy onto their children, a trait that they still harbor to this day. Fuyuko was subjected to most of her time being taken by intense physical training and improving upon the level of chakra control needed to harness her Hyōton techniques to their fullest extent. It was their hope that they could help the child seek her dream of serving the village one day while also further boosting their family name among the upper echelons of the Yuki inner workings.
It put Fuyuko on the map in terms of gathering attention from the academy staff. The hours of her family's training had made her an excellent shinobi that was near the top of her class. While sometimes let from nearly missing the bell or sore from the previous nights' exertion, Fuyuko was primed and ready to give it her all there. She was assigned personal lessons with tutors who far outranked her and she often requested to read D-Rank ninjutsu scrolls while still learning hand seals and such. For as much torture as it was to constantly be working, the girl was happy to have a purpose with her school work.
She did, however, struggle in terms of a personal life. She struggled to connect to other students, being seen as a teacher's pet and constantly ridiculed for falling asleep in class at times or often how much she tended to stutter as a kid. It left her with a small pool of people she could call "friendly", with even fewer being able to be called her friends. The many hours of training after school often exhausted her and made it really hard to focus on anything but resting when she did earn such a day. On her 10th birthday party, nobody had come and she requested to spend the day training instead. All she knew was working and training. Every other faucet of life almost seemed pointless to her.
Once she had graduated from the academy, Fuyuko had been more than prepared for the various missions and things to keep busy with in Kirigakure. The current state of the village had torn the peace between the three clans into two sides, Mizukage against the Daimyo. She had taken the side of the Mizukage like her clan, and matured in the age of rising tensions between the Kirigakure and the Water Country Daimyo. Many of the shinobi she knew had sided with the Daimyo and had treated her with such hostility, even the people she had maybe remained acquainted with. Even still, she placed her faith into the hands of the Mizukage.
By the time her 20s had come to meet her, all hell had broken loose. The home she had known was plunged into civil war after the assassination of the Mizukage by the Daimyo. She was among many that had jumped at the chance to pledge their service to Kirigakure to seek vengeance against the Water Daimyo. Like many youth, Fuyuko was fired up and willing to step head first into districts that had fallen out of Kirigakure control. With her clan's abilities, she felt unstoppable! There was little anybody could do to shake her spirit. They would win this little war.
It was supposed to be a simple mission, the same task as it always had been. In a small group of Chuunin and a single Jounin leader, she was to help eliminate another key supplier belonging to the Daimyo forces. Fuyuko and her squad mates had been put in charge of intercepting this caravan and its guards and retrieving the supplies. What began as a straightforward affair was soon turned on its head as they were ambushed when attempting to eliminate the guards of the caravan. The number Daimyo forces had been severely underestimated and resulted a tactical retreat. Fuyuko had been wounded from the attack and while retreating, been captured and tortured for information. She was subject to increasingly savage punishments but rescued by her squad after meeting up and returning for her.
With the war between the Daimyo and Kirigakure settled, she was one of the many who hoped for a more peaceful future, only to be thrown back into the midst of a bijuu attack by none other than the Sanbi. Her clansmen and her fought valiantly to defend what little there was to the village, but suffered heavy casualties.
She had been a part of a group defending the exterior of the clan district from the decimating attacks the Sanbi had launched across the village. One particularly nasty bijou ball had obliterated the Yuki team she was a part of, scattering them across the village. Fuyuko hadn't even landed when a group of civilians taking shelter in a building had been in danger with the tail beast's stomp causing an earthquake which caused the foundation to fail. She quickly sped to and used her ice jutsu to reinforce the building, though her chakra supply was dwindled from the fight.
With the building threatening to collapse on the group, Fuyuko took it upon herself to use what little chakra she had left to hold the building up with ice as she could, even using herself as a base to form the ice at. The loud creak of wood and metal was too much to bear, and the last thing Fuyuko saw was the blurred shape of metal speeding towards her chest before going dark…
She awoke some time later in the hospital, having been found by some of the teams sent to locate missing persons. Although badly damaged from the building collapsing on her, she was found with metal and viscera embedded in her chest cavity while freezing herself to attempt to slow the wound. The act had saved her life, though at the cost of her skin taking a more pale color.
The road to recovery was long for Fuyuko. Her skin had turned pale from her brush with death and she found herself traumatized from the experience. After a long time recovering physically, Fuyuko began her active service again the following year. SHe became more reclusive and often found it rather hard to really expression outward emotion other than a disinterested gaze to anything.
Fuyuko had attended the service held for the Yuki who had perished, many noting her forlorn expression and leaving as soon as it ended. The village was wounded but was on the way to a better future. Many Mizukages were welcomed in just as quickly as they were succeeded by another. Fuyuko had began to have doubts about the future of the village from the shaky leadership, but continued her work regardless. Her thorough work and efforts in the many conflicts had granted her the title of Jounin, alongside being told she was to begin leading a small genin force the following day.
This current Mizukage, though the youngest, has made her a bit hopeful for where Kirigakure will go. His predecessor and adoptive family had done a pretty good job at ensuring their home was well accounted for and had a prosperous future ahead of it. Fuyuko, while often silent and hard to communicate with at times, found enjoyment with her position in teaching the shinobi of the future.
FIGHTING STYLE Fuyuko depends mainly on her Yuki clan techniques to disable her enemies from afar, relying on the sheer cold and sharpness of the ice to do her enemies in before they can get too close. She tends to allow her techniques to slowly wear down her enemies over time before going in for a swift and decisive strike that will turn the tides in her favor. she continues her calm and stoic demeanor, even in the midst of battle. However, it's said that people can see the more vicious side of the woman begin to come out in a fight. A glimmer of veiled elation comes from her time in a fight, even when she takes an incredible amount of damage.
In the event that she cannot keep her distance, the woman isn't without a defense. Fuyuko has experience with fighting with not just one blade but two. These often are encapsulated in or made entirely out of her hyoton techniques in order to spread the effects across while fighting even without her clan's techniques active. Her fast speeds work in tandem with handling two blades at once, preferring to outlast the opponent rather than overpower them outright. Even if she loses a weapon, Fuyuko can handle herself with only a singe blade to her name.

Snow Woman (Hyōton Usage)
Since birth, Fuyuko's control over her kekkei genkai has been quite the benefit to her. By combining her Suiton and Fuuton natures, she's able to harness the coveted Hyōton technique that the Yuki clan are known for. This allows her to manipulate the element to remain flexible in combat, often in the creation of powerful barriers, sharpened projectiles or disabling enemies entirely.
Winter's Embrace (Enhanced Chakra Reserves)
Fuyuko's chakra pool has deepened over the years, relying on her ninjutsu as a primary means of dealing with threats while her bukijutsu is used to deal with fights that bring themselves to her physically. With such a chakra heavy kekkei genkai, she's had to amass a well of chakra in order to stay in the fight for long periods of time. Fuyuko can continuously cast jutsu longer than most shinobi before needing a break.
Hastened Chills (Faster Hand Seals)
When it comes to hand seals, oftentimes, even the longest of strings can mean the difference between life and death. Fuyuko understands this and over her time as a ninja, has quickened her hand's agility to get the exact jutsu she needs as quick as possible. This results in Fuyuko being able to speed through the required hand signs for any jutsu which requires it and cast it quicker than most people.
Frozen Lifeblood (Enhanced Endurance)
Fuyuko's been through a lot, and that's before taking into account the amount of times she's almost died. Life seems to have it out for the woman for quite some time now, though it hasn't stopped her just yet. She's conditioned herself to push through intense physical damage and punishment for the sake of her genin more than herself. Fuyuko will still comprehend and feel pain and whatever is happening to her body and the consequences of such, but she will not stop or hesitate because of a wound, no matter how serious.
Quickened Frost (Enhanced Speed)
The first defense against dying is being tougher than anybody who would want to do you harm. The second defense is being quick. Fuyuko's quick on her feet and is able to dance across the battlefield at speeds that are a tad bit quicker than most other shinobi.
