Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry. Of course. His face was revealed finally, the sleeve slipping down and revealing his youthful face that matched his smaller body. But it was also one filled with concern, not having meant to create a scene to where the girl with short, black hair felt the need to chip in. Ayukawa, she'd said. But luckily, the conversation moved on, talking about what they should get as gifts for some kids they knew. Which is when Ayukawa once again turned to him, asking if he knew anything about their destination. Asking with a completely unreadable face, causing the teen to slightly hesitate in his answer at first even. He wasn't used to such intensity, not from humans anyways.
Oh, ummm, no. Not really, sorry. I've only heard about this place, I actually haven't left my village much, sorry. But it's supposed to be mostly Honō and blacksmiths there, where they use lava to make stuff. I guess the blacksmith part was pretty obvious, since that's what we're escorting right? But yeah, from what I've heard it's mostly metalwork you'll find there. Yuushi didn't get quiet when feeling nervous or surprised like how Ayukawa had caught him off guard, instead he did the exact opposite. He started talking more. Which made sense, he found noise more comforting than quiet. An empty quiet, in an empty room, broken only by coughing and blood.
Thankfully he could stop himself before he started really embarrassing himself, able to enjoy the mountains around them. The scenery so different from what he was used too. Not in a bad way, while he loved the forests these mountains were quite scenic, and the ruins! This was interesting, and he also ended up wandering off alongside the blue-haired companion, Zakku he'd said. Though he was more interested in the ruins than caves, poking around, trying to see if there was anything interesting. It was neat, old things like this. He'd never seen anything quite like it, and it'd managed to pique his curiosity as many things did. And it took his mind off the whole troublemakers thing.
And as the spiky, green haired teen got his very clean looking jacket and undershirt dirty playing with rocks, another question was asked. Another question he didn't really have an answer too.
Sorry. I don't know that either. I know they have wolves though, so that might become a problem at night. He said it very casually, the chance of a wolf attack. But wolves shouldn't be much of a problem for them, right? Especially when a moose suddenly joined them.
Oh! He hadn't seen it approach, in fact where had it come from nowhere. Though it seemed to be with their third, Kazuyuki.
Did you summon that? That's pretty neat, I've never heard of a contract like that before. Yuushi's experience with fellow summoners was minimal, so he was always happy to meet fellow contract users, his experience with familiars even less so.
Though soon they'd be moving on, though they would at least get confirmation thaf they were unlikely to get eaten by bears here at least.
Oh, that's good. Now all they had to woiry about were the wolves. But that was a potential problem for the future, now to his excitement they were travelling deeper through the ruins! The older teens attention jumping from story to story, each ruin having one of its own. Then the problems of the future became the problems if the present, as the excitement and adventure of delving into these old stories were interrupted. Not by a bear, but by an older, messy man with a knife, looking eagerly towards the wagons as he was joined by three more, asking just what was in them. Yuushi wasn't talking anymore, apprehensive at this interruption. Though from the looks of things they were apprehensive as well. Still, he didn't do anything, and only spoke up when he brought up taxes.
That's a lie! If it were taxes you wouldn't need knives, so you're lying! He looked at his companions, as if proud of this deduction, reaffirming what was hinted at with the whole 'troublemakers' debacle. He was a pretty unworldly and somewhat naive person all things considered. But he wasn't attacking the lying bandits, not yet anyways.
-Yuushi reveals his face from his sleeve as Ayukawa reassures him the trouble maker thing was a joke
-Is taken aback by her intense expression when she asks what's at Nokoribi, causing him to ramble. He's not really sure, just knowing it's mostly metalworkers there
-Gets distracted by the ruins. Each one has a story! It's neat!
-Knows there's wolves since he's met the wolf sage, but isn't too sure about bears
-Moose appears! He thinks it's a summon
-Gets confirmation, probably no bears. Yay
-Traveling through the ruins! Also yay!
-Bandits appear. Less yay. But if did get him to shut up.
-He might've believed them if not for the whole knife thing
-Is also very proud to catch them in a lie. Also it took everything I had to resist having him pull out his wallet believing them
