_❝ His excitement to start the next phase of the exam had Kouki forget just how much chakra he went through in that four day span. He had a decent amount left but that didn’t mean he could be frivolous with it. That was probably why the beast within him was piping up a bit more. The biju and Kouki did not have a bond in the slightest, so for the genin to start dipping into the biju’s chakra was a big no no. While these thoughts were swirling around in his head, Kouki watched as Ryoko had to man handle her dog. It seemed like it was going to be more of a liability than help. Ryoko had it retrained so hopefully it can focus on sniffing without trying to eat the little creature.



"Ok Ryoko we need to start moving. To the right we go! Let’s get that lil’ booger of a bunny.” The boy said it with a fire in his eye. He was liking the feeling of being challenged and testing his mettle in front of these other genin. Maybe he would be the one to grab the rabbit and secure their victory? In the meantime He and Ryoko needed to start covering some ground. The jutsu might be called water walking, but it can really be used for so many other things. Chakra flowed to his feet as Kouki made his way first to the right. He made sure not to go too fast to not lose track of Ryoko. Moving forward he found two hallways to his left. Peaking into the first room he found almost comically several swinging axes. "You shittin’ me?!” His mouth dropped to the ground at how ridiculous this situation was getting. He leaned over to his left to view what the next hallway had to offer and it seemed like a normal hallway. In both rooms he noticed the small tunnels that the rabbit was meant to run through. He waited for Ryoko to catch up to then ask for her help. "Do you think your dog can figure out which was is the best? I really hope it’s not the freakin’ swinging axes…” He wanted to get her opinion before moving forward as she was the one with the tracking animal, not him.

Fallen Blades' Eighth Semiannual Chuunin Exams!

Round Two: Cooperation Portion

I'm not sure who this effects first or if it effects everyone, but what was a sleek and slippery ice floor reveals to be something more devious. Upon applying chakra to get a grip to the floor, it instead repels the chakra dispersing it in all directions besides into itself. This effectively causing the jutsu which tightens ones grip to turn into an invisible system of loose marbles under the shinobi feet. More than likely the first shinobi or all shinobi to realize this would in fact lose their balance and fall on their bums. Negotiating this isn't the option or struggling to walk on a now even more slippery surface, the genin would with their first tactic find little avail.

Upon retrieving the canine, Ryoko would be met by little resistance. The animal still whimpering before licking the girls face as she tried to converse with it. This animal clearly didn't understand what was going on, but also didn't seem enthralled about going back to the ice. Instead when brought back to the original room and the chicken was let loose to have a harness made the dog made it clear. It didn't plan to re-enter the frozen nightmare, as it likely could sense the chakra off putting the ice now that'd it'd meddled into the maze once.

Upon Kazui and Ayukawa retaining their sense of balance and exploring out first, they'd find the first path optional to them being almost a room slightly smaller than that of which they started. This room wasn't empty though, as almost cartoonishly large metal axe heads swung back and forth in the room. They each seemed to have a hole in the middle of them perfectly sized for the rabbit to jump through. No rabbit would be seen in the room though and the eight menacing steel axes provided little invitation. Even the rabbit would likely take this route as a last ditch.

Proceeding further there'd be a hall which went around the room of axes. A mirroring set of room, then hall would follow on the other side for Ryoko and Kouki. Similarly no rabbit could be seen down any of these routes, but luckily for everyone include there rabbit was in no rush to get exhausted. It'd remain immediately in the tile opposite the tile it'd exited. The ground it stud on appeared to almost be studded, so were the tiles going left and right of the rabbit. It'd nibble upon the ice which stood up, as if waiting the shinobi's arrival.

-Mostly undiscovered, there's the rabbit at the other side of the wall past the end they didn't take.
-Gee-Whiz, that's some slippery footing! Oh no, chakra seems to be deflected by these slick ice tiles.
-Kazui passing the first room of axes would find a hall similar to the one she was trekking. Four tiles forward, there's a turn either left or right, to her right is a different set of ice tiles as the ground appears to be almost studded. Three tiles in the rabbits there! To the left is a tile which appears to open up to a left, right or forward path. Oddly the wall immediately in front of her first left and right decision has no rabbit hole.

Ayukawa: Fatigued after getting very little rest during the first round, especially during the full second half and on top of this exerting quite a bit of energy in physically handling most it's challenges. Her awareness will be heavily effected purely do to lack of sleep, expect to miss interpret the rabbit and it's reflection in an instance of fast based action.

Kazui: Fatigued & Low Reserves despite attempting to fish, it was deemed unlikely the larger ocean fish would of been caught in the manner provided. So unlike Ayukawa who lacked time in rest Kazui is specifically quite hungry and likely unfed will have stomach issues. Due to this as well as a decent use of chakra, Kazui would have a slightly drained reserve.

Toru: Injured after being unable to totally avoid the monkey's through his manner, Toru will have suffered minor bruising as well as scratches across any part of him bare. Similarly his clothes would be lightly tattered.

Ryoko: Low Reserves after making it through the first round with two followers needing her attention, Ryoko has managed to use more chakra than anyone else in the whole exam, because of this her reserves are devastated. A medium drain could be physically impacting at this point.

Kouki: Low Reserves despite giving likely the third or fourth greatest drain in jutsu, Kouki consumed a military ration pill not too long ago. Due to this and the fact he's a jinchuuriki, he's got relatively average reserves if not slightly above that of a normal shinobi his rank. Though this is still lower than his normal and likely half or two-thirds his normal reserve.

Chunin Exams Round Two "Oh..umm...here...its already cooked..but might be a bit tough due to the cold... Ayukawa would retrieve the piece of partially frozen meat from her pack, struggling to draw it out as she looked on toward Kazui as she could at least say that she wasn't the only one attempting to keep it together. They were both in a place that left them lacking, though if the experience of four days had been bad on her friend, what real dangers awaited them to discover within these walls? More so than that, would any of them be able to face them. Her paranoia was clearly not helped by her lack of any real rest, but if they were going to do this, they would have to work together. It was to the point that she was having dialogue inside her own head, but it wasn't the first time she'd done so this week. Still, in handing the piece of deer meat over to the girl, she'd note the axes to the left of right of her position, along with the small hole that seemed to linger close to them. Another one of the creatures escape routes no doubt. But still, it did little to give any real sign of the beings whereabouts. So when asked by both Toru and Kazui in just what she had, the youth would kneel down and begin to examine the area. Her hand would rub her eyes, clearly tired and attempting very hard to focus and center her thoughts. Narrowing her vision helped somewhat, but there was still a lingering sense of confusion as she struggled to stay aware of her surroundings. Kazui would likely note this as well, having experienced the girl's skills first hand and knowing the more serious look upon her face, now seeming to be fluttered with some confusion. "I think...I don't know...ugh! There shows some signs of it being here before, but I can't tell if it's recent or from a while back...I just know that it hasn't been here in a while..." Her voice was soft as she rubbed her eye lids yet again, releasing a breath as it was hard to just stand back up at this point, her muscles acting and her mind screaming for some concept close to rest. "Thank you.” She murmured softly. It didn’t matter if it was cold and tough or not, she needed something on her stomach and the deer meat would be the best option she had at the moment since they were stretched for time. Quickly eating enough to suppress the pain in her stomach, hopefully that would help her regain her energy and strength as the group walked along the left corridor, realizing that reinforcing her movements with chakra wasn’t working. "What a surprise.” She thought sarcastically as she found herself seated on her bum alongside Toru. "I guess we had the same idea.” Pushing herself up to her feet and patting herself off, the girl would continue. However, the first right had axes swinging from the ceiling, which was a good reason for them to avoid it, as well as there being no sighting of the hare.

Continuing down the narrowed hall, Kazui would come to a stop when Ayukawa lowered herself towards the ground in an attempt to find a trace of where the bunny was. Unfortunately it didn’t work, and the girl seemed unfocused, unalert, and weak. She even had trouble standing back up. Kazui would grab ahold of Ayukawa’s arm and place it over her own shoulder, in an attempt to help lift the girl to her feet. She didn’t want the girl using up all of her energy, she was an extremely important asset to their success and at this moment, she wasn’t looking too great. "Come on.” Kazui said softly as she continued.

The end of the corridor presented another right turn for the group to take, which then allowed for two options, a turn left or a straight path forward in which the rabbit was planted there, seemingly waiting for the kids to arrive. "There he is.” She said softly. However, Kazui wouldn’t be too eager to give chase after the rabbit, as her eyes focused closely on him, the girl would note the somewhat studs that rested beneath him. Dark hues shifting to the left would find similar studded paths placed all the way through the hall towards the left passage. It was suspicious, but they would have to operate around it regardless. "Careful.” She would say before looking further down the hall.

If the other team continued down the same path, Kazui would see them as well. The bunny had four safe options to take. He could turn and go through the bunny trail in which he had just come from, which would place him in the "deadend” portion towards the front, or he could take one of the three trails that she assumed lead more towards the center of the maze. Quickly digging through her pouch, Kazui would arm herself with the wired kunai and would throw a dart directly towards the middle trail. With the wire attached, the girl would lower herself to a knee in an attempt to use the wire to cut off the furthest left trail as well, if Jackie tried to jump over the wire, she would lift her arm and raise it, if he tried to duck underneath somehow, she would lower her hand and the wire as well. She wasn’t sure if these individual trails led to different paths or not, but she did want to limit the bunnies options to show him that he wasn’t in complete control. Hopefully her teammates, or the other squad, could try to cut him or force him off course as well. Still hopefully this encounter could help Ayukawa get a better sense of his trail.

On his bum he went, that wasn't going to work, they were going to have to move very carefully... Which was annoying but that wouldn't deter him. So, he stood alongside Kazui and started walking carefully trying to utilize his reflexes to stay afloat on the slippery surface. The axes were not worth battling, they seemed to be totally steel which meant they wouldn't be cutting them down anytime soon. His lips pressed together sternly until they paused in their near corridor and the rabbit was in front of them.

Kazui took initiative by throwing a kunai with some wire to block its way. The studded floor was odd, what was the rabbit not setting off? It was clearly different from the rest of the floor after all. He observed quietly to see what the rabbit would do. Was there a pattern in which it would choose to move that they could pick on? Or would it be entirely random?

Furthermore, he was searching what he had in his arsenal that he could use to help, most of his techniques relied on the sword and since they couldn't kill the rabbit it would be quite useless... He had suiton, but he couldn't directly use it on the rabbit. Were the walls chakra repelling too?

He pressed a palm against a nearby one to his right that had a little rabbit hole just below it and expelled some neutral chakra to see if the could use the walls to move and get the drop on the rabbit. He doubted that the walls did not have their own secrets, but it would certainly beat having to walk around super slow on a slippery surface. If the walls would find themselves to be a fruitful way to move around he would get the attention of Kazui and Ayukawa without - hopefully - spooking the rabbit to point to the walls as an option to move around on in a manner that the rabbit might not notice them immediately.

Lightning Reflex
Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

"You stay. Be good.” She gets close and looks the dog in the eye. She’d let it go for now, since it didn’t seem to want to go back into the ice. Long as it didn’t go after the rabbit or the chicken it’d be fine.  The past four days were spent enforcing the chicken not being a meal to the dog, so hopefully that'd stick.

Ryo turns back to the hallway, and grins a little. She had some things to say to the others, but they’d already spread out. So, she’d just get back to her team. Everyone was falling, and no surprise there. What she found strange was them getting back up. Ryo reaches into a belt pouch and pulls out a pair of kunai. She holds both with their blades pointed downwards, and smiles just a little bit more as she steps up to the slippery parts.

She didn’t need chakra for this!

She gives a little hop forward and sinks down to her knees, sliding across the slick frozen ground rather happily. She only goes a few feet befor jamming her Kunai down into the ground, piercing the ice and digging the tip in for a grip. She uses it to stop herself, icepick style, and once that theory has been vetted, becomes more confident. She pushes herself to a wall, then kicks off it for a nice speed boost.

And thus, the girl became a sentient pinball. She’d stay off her feet, even finding a little fun in her ability to slide effortlessly across the frozen ground. She aims for walls, using them as often as a brake as she does to push off of, and mostly attempts to follow her half of the team.

"There’s too many holes to really block em up. I’m sure just dousing the walls with a water jutsu would block a lot of em, but.. There’s so many. Not that I’m water inclined, but I don’t think it’d be the best use of chakra. Besides.” She grins brighter, looking at the rabbit for a moment. "I bet it can hear us with those big ears.. And it probably knows what we’re saying.  Hey cutie.”  She wiggles her fingers in a hello to the rabbit behind the ice wall.

With her team having gone right and the others left, she passes them by easy enough. She pushes off a wall and slides easily along the ground, coming to a stop on the perpendicular wall. "Tracking in this place won’t work. It’s like trying to track a single person in a crowd of footsteps, ya know? We know it’s here, we know where it’s gonna be, and it probably already smells like rabbit anywhere. But.. it does have good ears. The rabbit gets out of sight, listening might be a better option than sniffing. Dog’s good for listening to things scrabbling around on the ground.”

Having gone in, then right, she again turns herself towards (map north) and pushes off the wall behind her. She slides easily along the hall, not going too fast but just with easy, steady progress, relying on the distant wall to stop her when she reaches it.  When she lands in the corner there she has a good look down the spear hall, eyeing suspiciously the holes those spears must project from.  She hesitates there, and waits for her comrades to gather.

_❝ It did not take long after Kouki moved chakra to his feet that he noticed his own chakra dissipated from underneath him. It felt like marbles were underneath his feet. Kouki comically flailed his legs around trying to balance, but ended up looking like some deranged dancer and then fell flat on his butt. He winced as he tried to contain a small yelp of pain. "Agh! What kind of stupid floor…? Ryoko…have you caugh up ye-" Kouki turned around mid-speech, and noticed the very girl he was talking too was zig-zagging on her knees right for him. He let out a mighty guffaw as this was quite the funny surprise to him. "I mean hey…it works!” Kouki felt a little bummed out that Ryoko did not agree with his idea. He wanted to do something cool to help out the team and showcase his skills, but it seemed like sliding on his butt was the best answer. While the girl spoke to him, Kouki fished out two of his five kunai to use as ice picks just like her. He began to follow her by pushing of the walls and using the kunai as breaks as necessary. Wow she sure likes to talk a lot…He realized she did not have her dog but remembered that it did not seem to want to leave the entrance. So much for that option. Keeping up with this odd and spry girl, the two made it to the end of the hallway and turned to face down the next hallway which appeared to have holes or divots where most likely a booby trap was waiting, but there was also that little brown bunny looking like it didn’t have a care in the world. Kouki decided to very slowly inch his way over until he realized he was getting a little too close to a row of holes just like the ones the rabbit was on. He let out a small yelp of surprise and covered his mouth realizing he might spook the rabbit. He froze…realizing he was like a rock in hard place…of ice…with a bunny.

Round Two: Cooperation Portion

This might of been the point of aforementioned teamwork, but the rabbit wasn't at all cornered. Instead it had opposition at either side, it'd pop-up and tense in place. Ears raised and nose furiously wiggling to obtain the air. As the forces of three formed to it's left and two to it's right, it'd have a multitude of options. The path from which it'd literally just arrived, the openings to the axe rooms and three rabbit holes at the wall before it. Granted it could risk getting devilishly close to either group to take the human path.

It knew better than to risk fate and move so boldly close to shinobi, it'd of not ruled out the original path it came. However, there'd be more at foot than the shinobi. Left behind at the starting room was a hungry dog and plump chicken. Despite being around the bird for four days now, these two animals weren't equal on the food chain. The shunning kunoichi gone the dog would size up the bird, but the bird too would size up the dog. Knowing it's place, it'd spread it's wings and dance fate around the canine.

The dog would lose into it's inner desires and charge at the bird, but it'd not grasp it in any attempt. Instead it'd force the chicken back and running, the bird hitting the ice with a little more balance thanks to fluttering wings. Feeling the slide of the floor, it'd merely squat down and let physics guide itself forward.

The rabbit was at this point challenged by a thrown kunai, it'd have a string attached, but that had less weight on the decision made by the animal. Instead it'd freak out smelling the birds approach and both hearing and seeing the kunai's attention. The rabbit would seemingly rush for the axe room nearest the Iwagakure and Yukigakure shinobi. Though it'd merely do this as a rouse and kick off the corner of the wall to that rooms opening, shooting through the rabbit hole not blocked by the Uchiha.

Immediately after the rabbit vanished out of sight, a chicken would slide through the hole the rabbit had original traveled. Rising up to it's feet to walk upon the studded floor. Pecking at the kunai and wire in slight confusion.

The rabbit wouldn't simply slip through it's latest rabbit hole and stop. This time the animal would continue to dart a diagonal, across another studded hall and through another rabbit hole. Nuzzling into a walls corner, as that wall and four others would rotate changing the paths of this maze suddenly though at a moderate spin. Allowing possibly a slightly glimpse at the rabbit sneaking off if Kouki or Ryoko add the observation to note it with their wall segments move.

Kaguya Toru The walls and ceiling all seem to have the same property as the floor, but the studded floor and another might react differently. As they're clearly a different structure.

Yoshioka Kouki & aihara ryoko The floor is studded there isn't holes, if the spears are activated they're ice and grow from these studs.

Chunin Exams Round Two "Heh heh...guess I ain't much of a huntress after all...sorry guys... Held up by Kazui, the girl would show a small smile on her face, weakened by fatigue and days without any clear sleep. Her senses were all over the place, and her vision was blurring in and out. She'd attempt at rubbing her eyes, but even then she risked the chance of falling asleep upon her friends shoulder. With the vision of the Uchiha's attempt at a trap, a soft noise from close by seemed to set the creature off, prompting it to dart to one possible exit and then seamlessly down into another. It was so fast...and fear was a natural instinct for a individual so small. It would act on the slightest of sounds and move into one of it's possible means of escape if able. While the attempt to draw it into a trap was bold, with so many options to it, it would continue to outmaneuver them. Plus...it didn't help that she was now dragging them down... "Listen....you two need to go...I'm not able to track this thing and ya gonna need to be quick..." Glancing over at Toru, she'd then look directly at Kazui as she then held up her usual grin. Mr. Jackie didn’t seem all too worried about Kazui and her wired kunai trap, which was noted by the girl as she watched him sniff and nibble at the ice beneath his feet. Hoping that the other squad could find a way to cut the bunny off, the Uchiha would have to watch as he slipped through the only bunny trail that was available to him. A sigh escaping her breath as she watched along, pulling her kunai from the ice by the wire. Once her weapon was gathered, Kazui would face Ayukawa with a look of sympathy as she tried to pull away from the Uchiha’s arms, which was denied by Kazui.

"Come on Ayukawa.” She said as she shouldered the Suna kunoichi’s weight on her right side. They had a trail to follow, so it was best for them to strike while the iron was hot. "How do you expect to keep up as my rival if you give up so easily.” The girl said with a soft chuckle and a weak smile, trying to give Ayukawa whatever kind of motivation that was needed to light a fire under her, the more hands they had, the better their odds were. Dark hues traveled the path they needed to take hesitantly. The studs in the ground were enough to have Kazui suspicious and weary of her next step, especially now since she held Ayukawa on her shoulder.

Lightly stepping on the studded floor where Jackie had just left from, the girl would see if anything would happen if she stepped there multiple times. If the floor didn’t present much of a threat she would try her best to hurry across in order to catch up with the hare while not taking her attention off the floor, sending both, Ayukawa and herself sliding on the ice until they reached the opposite corner/wall where Kouki and Ryoko were. Hopefully now they could fine tune their plan while they were all together. A stressed sigh would escape her lips as she looked at her team.

"Okay I think he’s somewhere in there...” She pointed her finger at the wall as she spoke. "We just have to find a way inside.” Kazui added on, looking at each member to see if that had any plans. "Then we can start cutting off his escape routes.” The girl added on.

The attempt at the rabbit seemed to fail and it moved through a hole and disappeared from sight. The wall as he had tested, appeared to be the same as the floor which wasn't helpful at all. Furthermore, he was becoming curious about the studded floor, it was not like the rest of the floor. This meant it could be helpful, or it could be a trap. It was hard to tell. Ayukawa was trying to bow out, she was tired and if she was it was understandable but this was a team effort so they had to try and take her along one way or another. He watched quietly as Kazui tested the floor, if it proved to be quite harmless he would follow in her path, if there was something of a trigger here, it could be avoided if he followed behind step in step with the other girl. He maintained his vigilance though because he knew his reflexes could come in handy at any moment in this frozen maze.

If danger occurred he would suggest they cut around and back, to rejoin Kouki and Ryo. If nothing happened, they'd rejoin regardless. Kazui pointed out the wall - although Toru didn't know why but he shrugged, deciding to go along with it... There were studs in this area of the floor too. Once again, he didn't know what the deal with that was - assuming it had not revealed itself in the last crossing - but he wasn't sure he wanted to continue testing it and instead cast his gaze up, he would try note differences, any airways or drafts.

Ultimately, he went back to touching the walls. He was especially interested in the spots without any rabbit holes, perhaps there would be a way they could find more ways? If Toru stumbled upon anything - like a switching wall nearby - the group could arguably move forward and eventually come across the rabbit again... Hopefully.

Toru had no way of knowing anything, but he knew that standing around and philosophizing about what could or could not be would not get anything done, they needed to move regardless of whether they were going in the wrong or right direction. Moving anywhere was correct because eventually, they would have to stumble across the rabbit who seemed to only move if instigated.

So, assuming a wall did move they could move forward and take in the plethora of rabbit exits ultimately leading them to some dead ends and without a doubt where the rabbit sat at the end of a supposed dead-end... But Toru moved carefully, poking just his eyes around corners as to not spook the rabbit. If they could block off those little holes, they'd have that little bastard in their grasp in no time.

Ryo watches closely as the rabbit makes its escape. She saw that coming, no one thought they’d get it the first try. Even the second might fail, but they had information to go on. "He’s as fast as he is delicious”, she notes with a little smirk. She turns her attention towards Kazui and Ayukawa, watching as they test the studded floor. It was brave, Ryo didn’t trust it at all, but she’d have to do the same as them. Watching them step out into the hall, she gives a little push off the wall and slides towards them.

She stops halfway, sliding up to and collecting her chicken in one arm. "Yeah, it didn’t get far”, she replies as she slides her way after the two back to where she started. "The wall up here opened when it ran. It’s just inside, and I think we need to do that backwards. Block the exits, then find a way in. I can get to the far side pretty quick and block up the holes, but I could use a pair of kunai to do it with if anyone has some spare. Can cover three holes easy enough. Four if needed.”

"We’ll need to get into position and flank him, then send the fastest person here in after it”. She flicks her gaze at Ayukawa, then to Toru, then Kouki. She looks at Kazui last. She lowers her voice considerably before whispering since everyone was gathered. "I wouldn’t be surprised if it could hear us. Just in case.. Let’s keep this quiet. I propose we flank it, then one of us needs to get in there quickly. Body flicker won’t work, I think it’d be too slippery when you land, however we can create a distraction to assist at the last second. If we have a way to sneak someone into position, I think it’d be ideal. Like, if there is something sizable enough for someone to use the substitution jutsu with, I can easily move it into place with my art.”

"It won’t take us long to get into position, and I think if we’re careful this will work.” She holds the chicken up a little. "And I think if I put this thing past it, the bunny won’t want to run in it’s direction.. Ninja chicken, way more useful than a dog.”

That gets a quiet laugh out of her, but she goes back to focusing very quickly.

_❝ Even though Kouki was the closest to the rabbit in that moment, he could do nothing in the face of such great speed exhibited by the little beast. Sitting with his legs crossed on the ice he clumsily attempted to reach out and grab the bunny, but obviously to no avail. He was able to glance at it in a split second since the corner walls were moving and created a vantage point from where he was sitting. Before he knew it Ryoko slid right past him again, and if the floor that was studded didn’t do anything odd, he would follow but be weary of the ice underneath him. With the group together again, Ryoko and Kazui were strategizing and Kouki did well to listen. "Ryoko, I have three kunai to spare and I’ll go with you. I still have chakra to spare so let me seal some of those holes with lava. It wouldn’t dare try to get near those openings then.” He looked at all of his teammates for a moment. "I can say for sure that I’m not crazy fast or anything even though I use taijutsu primarily. Is anyone else here confident in their speed or reflexes? That little fluffy booger is wicked fast.” He gave a thumb’s up and winked with a smile. "Let me put my lava to good use for ya!” If he had to, Kouki would try to plug up all the holes he could if it meant it would trap that little speedster. Even if it risked stirring the beast within him.

Round Two: Cooperation Portion

Kazui removing her kunai wire would inadvertently re-open the path's she'd closed. It'd not really effect the teams ability to chase the rabbit, but it would give the chicken a very easy exit. It'd maybe feeling surrounded by all the people merely head through the rabbit hole before it. Denying Ryoko the ability to retrieve her bird, it'd continue on it's path straight across the largest opening thus presented to the shinobi. The floor was different to that of either the slippery or studded floor. It had a dark color and despite being the size of nine tiles, it'd appear to only be one. The center appearing the darkest.

Testing the studded floor wouldn't seem to trigger anything, it'd be this hesitation that'd give the chicken all the more time to escape. The attempt to slide across this new studded floor would prove a mistake. The studs were surprisingly sharp minus the one the rabbit had chewed. The added texture to the floor would also give it much better traction and it'd not seem nowhere near as slippery as the floor previously. It was obviously still made of ice, but where the other seemed like it'd been polished to slip people up this one just seemed like solid ice.

There were no switches to be found by Toru, but inspecting the rabbit hole, it'd be clear the thickness of the walls weren't unreasonable. Still it was a solid two inches of rock solid ice. However granted the right force or maybe jutsu it might be breakable. Granted that'd also create a larger opening for the rabbit to move. It seemed few in the team felt confident on their own to catch the rabbit. A wise belief, as it'd not be a chuunin challenge otherwise. More than one of them would be needed to catch this creature.

-The spear trap segment has a studded ice floor, as of right now you've no idea it's a spear trap, nor do you have the slightest idea how it works.

Specialized SA's:
Ayukawa: Fatigued after getting very little rest during the first round, especially during the full second half and on top of this exerting quite a bit of energy in physically handling most it's challenges. Her awareness will be heavily effected purely do to lack of sleep, expect to miss interpret the rabbit and it's reflection in an instance of fast based action.

Kazui: Fatigued & Low Reserves despite attempting to fish, it was deemed unlikely the larger ocean fish would of been caught in the manner provided. So unlike Ayukawa who lacked time in rest Kazui is specifically quite hungry and likely unfed will have stomach issues. Due to this as well as a decent use of chakra, Kazui would have a slightly drained reserve.

Toru: Injured after being unable to totally avoid the monkey's through his manner, Toru will have suffered minor bruising as well as scratches across any part of him bare. Similarly his clothes would be lightly tattered.

Ryoko: Low Reserves after making it through the first round with two followers needing her attention, Ryoko has managed to use more chakra than anyone else in the whole exam, because of this her reserves are devastated. A medium drain could be physically impacting at this point.

Kouki: Low Reserves despite giving likely the third or fourth greatest drain in jutsu, Kouki consumed a military ration pill not too long ago. Due to this and the fact he's a jinchuuriki, he's got relatively average reserves if not slightly above that of a normal shinobi his rank. Though this is still lower than his normal and likely half or two-thirds his normal reserve.

• Your equipment counts as you, so those of you with dogs, if your dog kills the rabbit you'll be equally charged with killing it and thus disqualified.

Chunin Exams Round Two "Heh heh..I'm your rival...really?...Man...I gotta step it up now...and I'm soooo tireddddddd....No fairrrrrrrrr...." Ayukawa attempt to try and bow out for the team was stopped by Kazui, and her talk of her being her rival was perhaps just the thing she needed as she reassessed herself as she continued to be carried by the Uchiha as she didn't seem ready to let her go. Though she was so very tired, and her eyes were hardly capable of keeping up. Though perhaps she didn't need her eyes. As her friend pointed out the direction of just where the rabbit had gone, the wall before them did present a good problem, but perhaps an opportunity as well. As far as she knew, it only had two points in which it would instinctively go for...right or left. It wouldn't see any of them coming from the front if they could plan it set it up for a trap. Though the question was just how they set it up. With a release of breath, the girl would begin to fill the texture of the wall of ice, her expression calm as she then drew her arm back as she once again rested upon Kazui for support. "I can try and break the wall...but once I start to hit it, it will start to react...it will wanna rabbit...heh heh...rabbit..." With a weak grin, she'd then release another breath as she then began to try and focus. "I don't think I can break it...but the noise will be enough to startle it...if the two of you move on opposite sides, you can get to him...But if there is a way in which he can get out straight, he'll likely round us..." It was a risk, but it was one possible plan. Ayukawa just had to try and find the weak point for this wall, and that might even be possible with her lingering fatigue.
