The thefts aren’t large enough to truly disrupt their businesses or give the villagers cause for concern about organized crime, but the losses have built up over the past few months and are starting to make a dent in their margins. Is the culprit a hungry urchin, or perhaps a mischievous tomcat? Investigate, and stop the thefts!

The town has already experienced disruptions to lumbering and shipping operations, and have hired shinobi forces to clear out the camp. Do so with minimal environmental destruction, or the lumberjacks and botanists will be furious!

Hamako Mai, the owner of the Magamachi hot springs, has hired Kumogakure’s services to investigate the Akazaya hot springs and do whatever they deem necessary to bring business back to Magamachi—without tipping off anyone in Akazaya to what they’re doing.

She has requested a protective service from Kumogakure, as she has reason to believe that a rival company may have hired the services of Uzushiogakure [Whirlpool Country] shinobi to make an attempt on her life in an effort to lay claim to the Daimyo’s construction contract. Escort Tomoko from Akazaya to Mishima, guard her as she completes her survey, and escort her safely back to Akazaya.

A Ship in the Night
MISSION RANK: BNPC REQUIREMENT: Yes PARTICIPANTS: 1-2 DESCRIPTION: The Daimyo’s informants have made reports of odd nighttime activity off the shore of the coastal town of Sekai. Small boats have been spotted rowing eastward in the dead of night, though what the boats contain, where they’re going, and from whence they’ve come all remain a mystery. The Daimyo’s forces suspect a smuggling operation, while Kumogakure intel has reports that a C-rank nuke-nin known as Fudan has been sighted in the area. Fudan’s crimes have largely been operational: disrupting businesses and trade routes, and funneling stolen goods to Kaminari no Kuni’s black market. Shut the smuggling operation down and bring the nuke-nin back to Kumogakure for questioning.
