"It's ok," Kyoko would say when the clone she tried distracting still made contact with her. The slash does not do as much damage due to her protective clothing but still would cause a good wound she would need to keep track of. She didn't blame Sho nor would she hold it against him since his maneuver was certainly a good one in case it was genjutsu, but covering both of their basses proved to be the better option either way. So in her mind, it was a sacrifice she was willing to tolerate for the sake of the mission besides with how strong their opponent was she doubted they would get out of this battle unscathed anyway.[break][break]

Ikana didn't seem to be worried about the team as she continued to attack the man only giving them information that he was a genjutsu user to which Kyoko would comment to Sho, "Looks like you are the ace of this operation." Sho would soon afterwards cast their genjutsu and using this as an opportunity Kyoko would return the favor to the peon who attacked her. Kyoko wouldn't pause for too long as she rushed the one who attacked her and did the same thing she did to the peon that attacked Sho, she shoved the umbrella with ration chakra into them to rid them of this battle.[break][break]

Kyoko, like many before her, has developed her clan's Kekkei Genkai which is a dojutsu granting her a few abilities. They are tied to her eyes and have a hand in detection. Able to detect the chakra and vitality of a person up to 1km away in distance.[break][break]

Enhanced Physical Trait[break]
One of Kyoko's most trained attributes is her reflex speed. Able to move and process information a bit faster than others can adapt to scenarios a lot more smoothly than others can. This also includes her being able to switch weapons in her hands at a time.[break][break]

Ikana would find that the individual cutting into her was not a clone of any kind, but a very original article. Though her sword was sliding through the individual in question, it didn't seem to really do what it was intended to do. In this case, her sword slid right through bisecting the body, but it came right out and the enemy grinned with shark-like teeth at her. He would slide the sword out from her shoulder then and jump back to create some space, she was already attacking the main man again who once again jumped back before falling victim - well kind of - to the flash bomb.

Two could play at that game.

The one attacking Ikana would address the clone now, attacking it with the sword blow from before.

Whilst the flash bomb went off the main bad used the moment where everyone would be overwhelmed with the light - and shout something.

"It's quite bright! Wow!" Immediately all those that would hear the words would find the flash bomb and the torches in the room to be horribly bright to look at, in fact too bright, painfully so.

It seemed to collide with the force of the mist. Which meant that while one team would be seeing a lot of mist, the other team would be in a state of pain from too bright of lights. Though it was unclear if their main enemy was still stuck in the illusion or not and based on his expertise the group should be weary of any which way he acted.

Kyoko meanwhile attacked a very confused peon who could only see mist all around and when the raiton made contact he plopped to the ground in a watery blob, shocked and out of commission (though not dead is something the group should take into account).

"Thank god." Fortunately, his misty genjutsu had yielded immediate results, slightly tipping the scales in their favour. It appeared that Kyoko had successfully dispatched the two peons attacking them. However, their moment of relief was short-lived as a flash bomb, thrown by the mysteriously man facing Ikana, suddenly blinded Shō, and presumably the whole team, and disrupted their plans for the next steps.

Despite being blinded by the flash bomb, Shō stood his ground and remained calm. He quickly flapped his two pairs of wings on his front, preparing to block any potential attacks. Within the precious split seconds of peace, he tried to analyse the situation they were in. "Is this a genjutsu?" His immediate concern was the possibility of a genjutsu, as usual, he was being overly cautious and paranoid. Being a specialist in the art of genjutsu himself, he understood there were myriad ways they could be employed, with sound serving as one of the potential triggers.

The mist genjutsu he had used was in fact based on auditory triggers. Hence, he couldn't help but get suspicious of the words spoken by the enemy, "It's quite bright! Wow!". However, Shō was hesitating in making his next move, remembering his earlier mistake when he was initially fooled. He wondered if this was another deceptive tactic.

But then he realised he was blinded and couldn't do much anyway. Furthermore, it was already clear that the main enemy was a genjutsu user. No matter how he looked at it, he felt like he should always cast a "Kai" for safety. With that in mind, he ultimately decided to bet on himself again. "Don't worry, it's me." He placed his hand on Kyoko's back, sending a jolt of chakra to disrupt her chakra flow, hoping that it would work.

Cautious of being fooled and wasting his moves, Shō proceeded to generate spores on his hand and released them into the air. He then flapped them in the direction where the mysterious man had previously been standing. His blindness made this a little challenging, but it didn't really matter since he intended to fill the whole room with the spores. Also, if the man was still being caught in his mist genjutsu, he wouldn't see the spore coming at all.

[Miyamoto Ikana]

As the peon slides her blade out from Ikana's shoulder, as Ikana's own blade rips into his body? She recognized it almost immediately. That was the Hozuki clan's technique. Wasn't it?! She'd seen generally what their jutsu could do, and it was in that next moment, as the member moved to assault the Ikana clone, she gazed upon the foe and called out. "Look out!" Only for the clone to be slashed down as it turns. It had attempted to block with it's blade, only for the slash to skirt downward along the length and slash her forth. It disperses in a cloud of smoke, and Ikana immediately leaps back herself, as she raises her right arm over her eyes, and leaps back farther as the bomb goes off.

In truth. Ikana's hope when engaging the "big bad" of sorts was to keep him distracted. Distracted enough that he wouldn't be able to get off any of those devastating jutsu. Yet. Here he was, casting another with his technique. Though. At the very least, she was sure the Hozuki fucker must have been debilitated by the flash considering he was right next to it. When it ends, Ikana finds herself opening her eyes. Only to realize that the torches around her lay annoying. Their flickering flames hurtful to her eyes, and expressing in every extent of the word why she hated Genjutsu. How she wished she could use her more powerful techniques to simply blow this room to pieces and her opponent with them. Within this confined space, she could almost guarantee she wouldn't miss. 

Retreating farther, she leaps back towards Kyoko and Sho, realizing she was out of her league. The man dodged around her assaults as if they were trivial. Despite the fact Ikana quite prided herself on her speed and reaction time. Holding her blade firmly, she found herself bearing through the discomfort. As annoying as it was, she could bear it. It was far from the worst thing she'd ever experienced. Stepping slightly backwards with the slide of her foot, she looks towards Kyoko and Sho. "I can't take care of the water man. I'm no better than a support role here...I'm not suited for fighting Genjutsu."

"Ahhh!" Kyoko would shout as she was suddenly blinded by this bright light causing her to disable her Yamaguchi eyes. This made her eyes water which along with the bright light made this difficult to see the whole battlefield only being able to see barely two feet in front of herself. How was she supposed to fight while blinded? She would soon find herself with a hand touching her shoulder and she would have turned and attacked had she not heard Sho's voice and suddenly the room wasn't bright and returned to its normal lighting. "Thanks," Kyoko would say as she decided to take care of the clones once and for all.[break][break]

Putting away her umbrella and taking Nuibari out she was ready to get serious. Putting some Raiton chakra into the wire of Nuibari she charged it ready to use her thunder whip. "I'll take care of these two water clones you help Ikana," Kyoko would tell Sho as she began to whip the first peon she had hit to save Sho. She figured she would need to get rid of this one before it returned to battle before taking care of the second one she stunned. Hopefully, this wouldn't take too long to get rid of them so she could join the two in the fight against the big bad.[break][break]

Sho is able to break out of the genjutsu for himself and for Kyoko leaving Ikana stumbling back as she retreats from an untimely doom as she was unable to overpower the man by herself. Now Kyoko with new senses runs towards the peon who she believes to be a water clone - though at this point has been proven to be a real person from the Hozuki clan. However, the Hozuki is not so quick to be attacked again and in all of the confusion disappears in a puddle to the ground completely, seeping into the stone below.

Meanwhile, Sho commits some friendly fire sending out spores into the area towards their main opponent who upon seeing the spores is quick to form a hand seal forming a filter around his nose and mouth to avoid inhaling any of the spores. Now, the issue was that Kyoko and Ikana might end up breathing it in if they were not careful or if Sho was not careful.

The man had a dark look in his eyes as he ran towards where Kyoko was, it was clear she was the more physical out of them all. Time to put her out of her misery. So he ran at her meeting her just as his little Hozuki guard disappeared in the ground, chakra having already focused itself into his palm as he swerved to her left to smack her just on the back of her head. It would not harm her in truth, just perhaps take her off guard and make her stumble...

It was what happened next that would be the real issue.

Main: He has a filter over his face now and meets Kyoko run as she gets to his peon that she was trying to attack, he doesn't meet her quite head on and instead is off to the left of Kyoko to smack her across the back of her head. However, before he started moving, Ikana had already retreated back to the team, which made things easier as his Kai technique required physical touch to work. Sho quickly placed his hand on Ikana, sending a surge of chakra to dispel any genjutsu or lingering effects, if there were any, placed on her. "You're good to go." he assured her.

Simultaneously, it became clear that the main "boss" had broken free from the genjutsu, or else he won't have seen the spore and came up with a filtering technique. Without hesitation, he cancelled the mist genjutsu to conserve his chakra. "He has broken out from my genjutsu. Be careful."

Before they could plan their next steps, however, the man made a sudden and swift rush toward them. He had prove himself to be not only of higher rank but also exceptionally intelligent and cunning. Sho recognised the danger and the need to keep their distance from this formidable foe. However, lacking a suitable jutsu for the situation, he decided to use whatever was available. With two simple hand seals, Sho directed his chakra to the spores that were still floating chaotically in the room, causing them to grow rapidly. While this made the spores too large to be inhaled, rendering them harmless to people, it served as a diversion, slowing down the man's charge as he had already taken precautions and shielded himself from the spores. Sho seized the opportunity to introduce some chaos into the situation, hoping to buy time for their next actions.

One down two more to go before the big bad could be taken out. At least that's how Kyoko would see things, but it seemed like things weren't going to be going according to plan for her as the big baddy seemed to take recognition of Kyoko and came darting their way to her. His speed was quick and honestly Kyoko wasn't sure if she could react in time, but she wouldn't hesitate so making the appropriate handseal she would, with the help of Sho's giant spores as a distraction, body flicker away from her original spot where she was to about a couple yards behind the man. A desperate attempt at evasion, but one that was most likely needed she just would need to be careful on using the technique less she makes herself incapable of completing the mission.[break][break]

Kyoko still wasn't exactly sure what this man was capable of yet since she hadn't faced him in combat though she could hazard a guess from the genjutsu used earlier. Still, she needed to make sure and take him out as soon as possible. Kyoko decided to take a slightly drastic measure and begin her dance with Nuibari. Using the blade of Nuibari as a whip, much like before, she would perform her dance. This would cause the blade to whip around erratically, to the untrained eye, hoping to do some amount of damage to the man.[break][break]

Due to the erratic and fluid motions of the dance, this technique and it’s attacks can prove difficult to predict or ‘read’ as they are ever moving and seemingly in constant motion.[break][break]

Curling the needle around their limbs while maintaining a spin and building momentum and tension only to let it fly into action through the beautiful, wild dance, using it like a bladed whip or dangerous ribbon and lashing at the enemy in wild strikes. This technique can prove as deadly as it is beautiful, and has indeed been considered to be a ‘lethal ribbon dance’.

There was little room for restraint at this point. When Ikana fell back, he felt the hand brace her back as she was Kai'd out of this illusion. Assuming it was successful, the pain in her eyes came to fade. Before she witnessed that jutsu unfold before her. The spores beginning to suddenly grow and expand, beginning to fill the room, seeking to impede the approaching Jounin in question. Kyoko vanished from sight, and sought to impede their opponent's vision. Ikana at this point found herself forming a singular handseal as she decides to add into the assault. Advancing towards him, she sought to prevent him from forming any handseals to escape.

Ranjishigami no Jutsu. Ikana's hair would rapidly grow outwards and expand, seeking to ripple outwards in the form of long sharp tendrils, a dozen of them as they seek to not only envelop the Hozuki Clan member and the hopefully slowed Jounin alike, but firmly wrap and rip into their flesh and bodies. Although, of course, in the case of the Hozuki, if he used his liquification technique, the hair would only proceed to crush into and slip into and through their form as they seeped into the stone.  In which case, if they did slink into the stone, Ikana's hair tendril would seek to crack into the floor itself, piercing through with its steel like consistency.

Assuming Ikana's hair tendril did succeed in grasping the enemy Jounin, and ripped into his for, preventing him from reaching Kyoko freely, she seemed to look to her as if to give permission or the notion. "Give it a shock!" Assuming Kyoko got the message down? Ikana's hair would act not just as a bind, but as a pillar to course the electricity through. Static and flowing, as the electricity would conduct and seek the path swiftest to the ground. If Kyoko zapped it, she wouldn't likely be harmed as a direct conduit, because several of the hair tendrils were digging into the stone floor where the Hozuki attempted to retreat.

Hopefully, zapping at least one of their slippery foes, and allowing Kyoko to press her attack on the Jonin.

DESCRIPTION:

Chakra poured into the user's hair will extend violently, reaching out like many dense tendrils of fibers. The hair, becoming hard and tough like steel, aims to ensnare and bind targets within thirty meters, their sharpened tips boring into their bodies as it seemingly stitches them while knotting around them. This works well to halt the movements of even massive beasts, not to mention halt several dozen shinboi at once. These tendrils are capable of shaping their ends into what appears to be a lion's mouth, filled with a maw filled with razor sharp iron-rending teeth. Hungry for blood, the beastly endings to these binding tendrils work to finish off whatever prey the user may have caught. With the amount of hair created on average, shinobi are typically able toe create up to twelve individual massed tendrils of hair.

Their main opponent was peeved though not taken off guard by Kyoko getting out of the way and behind with a quick body flicker. What he did not expect was the spores suddenly getting bigger - way bigger - and beginning to impede everyone's movement. It was not just intercepting him, it was intercepting everyone. Which meant that when Ikana summoned her large steely attack directly attached to her form, it would be a bit difficult to reach the main opponent as he was still a ways away from the duo. Regardless though, whether it would reach or not, the man was already moving out of the way as he turned slightly and saw Kyoko bringing around her sword to whip it against him. It was a flash but he jumped out of the way before lunging towards the chunin on the opposite side of the room where her allies could not easily reach her or risk friendly fire if they tried to attack.

Kyoko would find herself once again receiving a blunt force attack that was extremely subtle but she would feel quickly. He seemed to swerve on his toes around the swords whipping digging into his feet to move and put himself on the side of her blade to grab onto her wrist as if he were going to try and stop her swinging around.

"Tell them to surrender." He whispered.

Ikana would manage to grab onto the Hozuki who did not have quite the reflexes to dodge out of the way, but the shock would unlikely come, and worse yet - right now - he wasn't dead. Having just barely managed to create a hydrification effect around his vitals.

DESCRIPTION:
A medical jutsu solely for harmful purposes. The reason it is a medical one is because one needs to have very precise knowledge about the human body to use it's full potential.
The user will gather chakra in their hands and mostly in their fingertips. Once close enough to their victim, the user will then try to grab them - only a light brush would be necessary to make the thinnest and smallest veins to burst. But if the user can properly grab the enemy, even the deepest arteries will burst in the area as big as the hand, causing extensive internal bleeding.

The spores that grew. It reminded her of another mushroom using bastard she'd known once in the past. Though, that seemed distant compared to now. Ikana's tendrils of hair sought to wrap and encapsulate her targets, and yet, as the jounin level opponent disappeared in a burst of speed to the other side of the room, it feel just a smidgen short to grasp. The room now filled with large puffball like obstacles along the floor. However, Ikana did feel a little "something" caught within her maw. For as she lifted him upwards, she'd impaled and caught herself a Hozuki. What a lovely prize. One might guess. Though. That quite mean victory.

He'd liquified part of his body as to ensure that his vital organs wouldn't be pierced and shredded to pieces. However, was now locked inbetween interlocking segments of hair and it's razor sharp "teeth". As the teeth bristled and interlocked, it would mean they'd have to continue remaining in their viscous form, especially as the tendrils shook within their body. Looking for a single fussed moment where the technique would stall, to rip into their organs. Though for now would seek to keep them locked. About half of her hair tendrils was dedicated to this cause. The hair like tendrils would seek to wrap around the entirety of their body, coiling like a bristled iron maiden of hair, attempting to tighten especially around the joints.

The other half of the hair tendrils however? Would swerve and continue to expand. Looking to soar towards the main enemy. The tendrils sharpening at the tips and along its edges, seeking to intercept the jounin figure once more. Seeking to assist Kyoko by having the hair tendrils come inbetween the two of them, and aimed for the jounin themself. Looking to impale them, bind them, and limit their movements. As to help Kyoko potentially get an edge over her foe, but also giving their enemy more to focus on. Kyoko was likely far better at swordsmanship than Ikana was, and with these mushrooms about, it would be difficult to assist more directly. However, at least with this, she could provide some level of help.

"Sho-San...I need you to help her. However you can..." With her hands occupied, she whispered it to him, before taking a deep breath. "We need to attack him together...I'm trying to make an opening, but can you make a distraction? A small one works. We just need to land a good singular blow."

Sho acknowledged Ikana's words with a nod. Understanding that the magnified fungi he had unleashed was not helping much, and in fact hindering his teammates, he swiftly decided to change tactics. In a matter of moments, he halted the continuous growth of the fungi, letting them fall naturally to the ground under the influence of gravity.

Following this, he performed a series of hand seals and slammed his hand toward the rocky floor and exclaimed, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" A cloud of smoke materialised, revealing a fierce and menacing leopard as the mist started to dissipate. But such vision could only be perceived by Sho, and his enemy, as it was actually an illusion crafted based on what he pictured. To make the genjutsu more convincing, Sho drew upon his training session with Keiji, ensuring that every detail, from the hand seals to the beast itself, appeared completely authentic.

As the illusionary leopard came into view, Sho slightly amplified its speed, to make it seem even more threatening. His primary goal was to divert the enemy's attention and disrupt whatever actions he was currently undertaking. Although increasing the illusion's speed raised the risk of it being discovered as fake, he knew that it was a necessary gamble to make the distraction more effective.

Despite her speed, she seemed to be no match for this foe and honestly, Kyoko should have realized that. This was a good maneuver for single combat but with a group, she practically made herself a single target much like Ikana did earlier in the fight. What was she even thinking? They needed to work together and she was doing exactly what she was trying to avoid and she would face the consequences of it. Despite trying to deal damage with her whip dance he seemed practically unfazed by it. Maybe she just wasn't as skilled at the use of Nuibari as she could have been. That or her tactics when using it weren't refined enough yet so she would find herself being grabbed by the man she was fighting.[break][break]

It was practically instantaneous as she could feel the veins in her wrist explode. "Agghhh!" Kyoko would scream aloud echoing in the chamber they were in. What kind of technique was this? Was this medical ninjutsu? She hadn't experienced this before and the pain was intense despite it only being in her wrist. Kyoko would do her best to keep a grip on her sword, but the pain would stop her from swinging it around. She was practically a hostage for him, but she wouldn't give in. Kyoko never gave up so while being held she would channel futon chakra into the wire of Nuibari, which she had gripped in her other hand, and attempt to slash at him by her side. [break][break]

The lion maw of Ikana was growing, but difficult to control, on account that it grew outwards and was mostly an unruly jutsu meant to wrap and eat where possible. But it also meant that it could cause friendly fire in such an enclosed space if she was not careful. Especially since the enemy was so close to Kyoko, there was really no telling between the two of them at this distance. Worse yet, the spores were causing a massive issue in actually allowing for her jutsu to meet its full potential because the maw was working around those large bouncy spores. The room was filled to the brim in a manner of speaking.

However, the fungi were soon falling to the ground as Sho realized that his jutsu was actually hindering the mobility of not just the enemy but his allies as well.

The opponent was entirely shocked to find that Kyoko was not in fact dropping her sword, as she would quickly find that her hand was bleeding internally through that entire area, and would likely look like a bruise bulging. It was not a pretty picture, and one she would likely need to fix.

Soon the tendrils were separating them, and he had to pull away making sure to avoid the strange tendrils that appeared to be on the other girls head. Thus, avoiding her swinging sword though also likely she would find her sword colliding with the hardened hairs - and that wouldn't feel good on her hand.

Annoyed with how things were going, he stared towards Sho and Ikana and raised an eyebrow.

"Having trouble there?"

It was mocking, but there was chakra in his words and now all that heard him speak would suddenly have their own attacks start to attack them. Ikana's hair attempting to eat her up, and Sho's leopard changing loyalties.

All the while, the man was just moving around the tendrils of hair the best he could waiting for the room to fill up until even the team itself could not avoid them. Soon Ikana would kill her own teammates.

A very powerful technique when used correctly, this particular technique causes the target(s) to see their own techniques reversed upon them. This means that upon utilizing an S rank ninjutsu then the ninjutsu technique would apparently turn upon them soon after use, in the case of high ranking taijutsu techniques, the target(s) would see the user use the taijutsu technique upon them. It should be noted however that these techniques are only reversed in the illusion and nothing stops the real one which is why during this technique the real user is removed from the target(s) senses and an illusionary replacement is added. Of all the genjutsu techniques, this particular one was one Shō had the most experience with. It was far from subtle and didn't align with his usual battle style, but that didn't diminish its potency. The genjutsu Shō had employed, a deceptive kuchiyose illusion, swiftly rebounded on him. The fierce leopard he had conjured, initially existing only in his mind, now manifested before him and launched an attack.

However, the real power of the genjutsu used by the enemy wasn't merely the "rebounding"; it was the fact that it erased any traces of the enemy user, all five senses of the enemy, rendering them invisible and capable of ambushing Shō and his team at any moment.

Thankfully, it wasn't a dead end for them. Since it was such an obvious genjutsu, the solution was clear: they needed to break free from it immediately. Self-inflicted injury was one way, but considering the rank of the genjutsu, they would be required to inflict a very huge injury to themselves, which he strongly opposed. Besides, Shō had a better alternative. "Kai!" He swiftly utilized the same technique once more, placing his palms on the backs of his teammates, sending chakra to awaken them from the illusion. While he couldn't free himself, as the level of the genjutsu exceeded his capabilities, applying Kai to others boosted its dispelling power by a lot, which should be capable of helping his team to escape the illusion.

"The rest is up to you all. I can't break free of the genjutsu by myself, so I will stay defensive for now." Shō told Ikana and Kyoko before covering his face and heart with the fungi wings.
