Assuming Ikana was snapped free from the genjutsu due to Sho's intervention, the tendrils of hair would cease any form of erratic movements. Yet, she knew now that she needed to act. And she needed to act now. "Nuibari-Chan! Get out of my way. I'll finish this fool with one fell sweep!" A bold claim for certain. Swiftly leaping backwards, her hair tendrils enveloping the liquified Hozuki would hurl him out towards the stuffed battlefield, likely causing him to bounce atop one of the mushrooms, or slap on top as they continued their rampant growth. In that next moment? She weaved a handseal sequence, her hair returning to her side.

Before her chest puffs up...'Futon! Atsugai!' She thinks, and with it, she exhales a tornado like gale, a rippling pressure and oppression of wind that would rip and tear through the mushrooms and blast towards the fleeing jounin as well as the Hozuki she previously hurled. The wind was compressed and would rapidly expand outwards in an expanding blast. Assuming they had no way to stop such a technique, as the blast expands outwards, it would create a great blast that would sweep her foes off their feet, if not send them flying into the stone wall with a great oppressive force, while also clearing the floor and sending bits of mushroom flying everywhere. She'd revealed her ace.

The other advantage? Whilst she channeled her wind and shot it towards him, the rippling wind would make any sound based genjutsu he'd try to cast useless . Leaving opportunity for both Kyoko, Ikana, and Sho to do something. Which. Ikana would. By immediately throwing a handful of ten rippling Shuriken outwards towards the jounin, looking to give him no time to recover and do handseals, as well as to go for the lethal killing blow if she held the opportunity. Though. With a technique like the one she cast in a relatively tight and contained area? She questioned if the man could survive her onslaught.

Nothing was still working, but at the very least she wasn't next to him anymore. Ikana had succeeded in separating him from her which made her wire attack a little useless, but gave her room to run. Heading back to her teammates for safety in their numbers. This while not a bad thing proved to be a pivotal spot for their next attack as it meant they now could coordinate a bit better. First, though they would need to deal with the next genjutsu he would throw their way again.[break][break]

This time one that sent their attacks back on them. Since Ikana and Sho were the only ones doing attacks this meant Kyoko was relatively unaffected. All she got was the fake illusion of him. While not an effective means she needed to see if she could see past his illusion and so she reactivated her eyes to see if she could break through it. She couldn't as the illusioned form of him still existed, but there was something different about the room as a whole. There was a different life force separate from the rest of them and the peons from earlier. An additional form if you will. This meant this was the real deal and Kyoko was about ready to gamble on it when she found herself being touched by Sho and Kai'd.[break][break]

The illusion of the man vanishing and the original being seen from the vitality source she found by using her eyes. She would need to keep this information for later use and tell Daichi if he hadn't already known. Ikana was also quick to react giving Kyoko a warning to move away so she could have room for a big attack to which Kyoko would oblige and once out of the way, she would witness the attack Ikana would burst out. "Wind huh?" Kyoko would mutter to herself as a smile would appear on her face. She had her wind jutsu she could use so in an attempt to combine the two jutsu Kyoko would use hers. Switching hands that were holding the main blade of Nuibari she would channel Futon chakra into it. Then arcing her sword a shockwave of wind hopefully adding to the wind blast Ikana provided.[break][break]

It seemed that the man's tactics - whatever they were - was to hurt any who got close and otherwise, cause a total exhaustion in all chakra that the team had. It would kill them and while he did not have a large well, it was one far better trained than anyone who was here. He knew that soon they would all feel their chakra stores be on the edge. Alas it seemed that this team was rather good at pretending that they were not going to die soon, good for them, they *were* going to die soon. He would be certain of that.

Sho went to cancel the genjutsu, but it was unlikely that he was able to get from Ikana to Kyoko without getting hurt by Ikana's hair tendrils as the room was quite full of them... Especially if he was moving quickly enough, of course if he was moving slow he was probably to get intercepted by their enemy so he had no choice but to risk getting nicked. This was especially true since Ikana and Kyoko were across the room from each other and nowhere near one another - though Kyoko was managing to get back to her teammates if a bit slowly.

The tendrils tossed the peon from Ikana but the second he collided with the ground he just liquified and disappeared. Ikana announced that she would create a nasty attack and it made the man prepare himself for the worst as suddenly the hair disappeared from the room and was now had much more mobility.

The man was prepared for what was to come next when Ikana and Kyoko attacked, Kyoko's attack making the shuriken that Ikana threw useless as it tossed them off course, while Ikana's attack lifted the mushrooms and sent them backwards. The man would take advantage of this and hide behind one of the soft structures, and while he slammed into the wall the blow was substantially softened by holding onto the mushroom.

Though there were some shuriken thrown, he only managed to get nicked by two into his clothes.

Once everything died down he pulled around the mushroom and stared at the group before he slammed his foot into the ground and took off. The three would see after images, he was going so fast that they could not even imagine someone going *this* fast. He might have the eight gates powers too.

Particularly though, he was heading straight for Sho a kunai in hand to stab the Gure in the abdomen hard and fast to make certain that he could not help the girls any longer.

Note: There seems to be an extreme confusion of how the sequence actions have gone. So I will set it here, the three of you are not changing the posting order and all three of you are also kind of arguing for different action sequences in your posts.

Kyoko is still trapped by hair and mushrooms when Sho acts on casting Kai, he must traverse the landscape to do so. Thus he takes damage from Ikana's hairs. Ikana directly tells Kyoko to get out of the way, this is when she retracts her hair therefore at this point *she* is already out of the genjutsu at minimum. But that means Kyoko is in the way. Kyoko then moves out of the way just in time for the wind shockwave.

Note: Sho is moving too fast through the room, take chosen damage from Ikana's hair (minimum two cuts of moderate impact). Ikana retracts hair and casts wind coupled with Kyoko's very badly aimed (unless she is ambidextrous) wind attack.

NPC Note: There are many actions being taken, however I am currently very kindly not intercepting something like the two Kai's which the enemy can easily do. There is hardly any teamwork still being done by the three parties. I recommend having a chat and discussing how you will take him on together. Furthermore - Ikana has been cut into, Kyoko has a useless hand and Sho has used a lot of chakra for his canceling of genjutsu, yet the party is fighting as if at full power. Teamwork and realistic play is the way to win. If you need to change posting order to do so, please do. I have been clear that you are allowed to do that; I have also been rather clear about how to win. This battle will drag on for as long as it takes for all three characters to be written with a touch of realism to their exhaustion/pain and however long it takes for all three characters to use teamwork - fully - or of course the characters die (that's the second option that I do not wish to do as this is meant to be an event made to prepare for war play strategies).

Peon 1: Gone

Main: Has used a big mushroom to hide behind and thus lessen the effects of Ikana and Kyoko's attack. Steps around and runs towards the group - appearing extremely fast like the eight gates - heading for Sho to stab the Gure in the stomach. Though not lethal this would certainly put a great deal of hurt on the boy.

It came too easily, the kunai driving itself directly into Sho's abdomen like it was butter, the man was content with this. It was by no means a lethal hit, but it was one that would really hurt. Sho had the option of removing the kunai but it would cause an unmitigated amount of blood to start spilling from his abdomen - he could leave the kunai too, and while it would staunch the bleeding for sure it would also hurt a lot to move or do much of anything physical. Of course, he would also most likely have to hold the kunai in to avoid blood, and acid to start eroding at his stomach.

Their main adversary did not stay in the location though, he swerved in his momentum around Sho and went directly for Ikana, towards her back while they were all stuck in the aftermath of his genjutsu, the very many after images that they would not be able to shake off very easily.

It took little effort but he would aim to land a hit at her upper back, where her neck and back met. The contact would rupture her blood veins, in the same way that he had done Kyoko not moments ago - it would take her out of the genjutsu at least, and while it would not paralyze the blood bubbling in that area would certainly hinder movement and start a blood collection along her spine - not good.

He didn't overstay his welcome, bouncing away from them - but still behind, pulling out another kunai now to be a bit more defensive.

The trio would really have to come up with something and fast as they were slowly being depleted of chakra and physical resources to fight back.

It all seemed to flash by fairly swiftly. This passing blurb, but for Ikana, as she was promptly passed in the rapid speed of the Jounin, she'd come to a swift realization. The realization being that yes, he moved incredibly fast. However, she doubted he actually held such ability. He moved, looking to close in to Ikana herself. As he moved, she paid close attention, and realized that the sound of his footsteps along the stone didn't nearly match to the speed she'd expected. As he moved through the room lit by torches along its walls, she paid attention to the dancing shadows as he moved. Then, he came towards her, and her instincts told her to act. As he sought to assault Ikana, she rest her hand along her Katana. Her hand firmly grasped around the handle as he sought to reach range to strike her with his palm.

Immediately, she twists, crouches her body down, and draws her Katana in a vibrant flash of metal. Using the sound of his footsteps to approximate his location, she'd perform the Iaigiri, looking to trade strikes with him. Her blade glowed a blue and brilliant sheen as to extend the blade's reach even farther in that instant. She was willing to trade blows, for as he entered into lunging space? Well. If he wished to lay his hand on her, she'd take the harshness of its touch. But he'd not be leaving with his life. Her chakra coated blade would look to slash so deeply into his body, he'd be gored, if not slashed in half in that strike. Her sword in this state could cut through a pillar of stone. If he thought she was less capable in melee, he was sorely mistaken.

However, even if he leaped back at that point? The mistake would prove potentially fatal. For a crescent of chakra would fly out in that moment, It's arc more than likely to catch him in the strike. In other words. If he didn't dedicate to this blow? One way or another? It was highly likely he'd die from this strike. She'd not let Sho's wound sacrifice go unavenged. No. When she was done, she'd strangle the bastard with his own guts. 

"...Die quietly already...You bastard..." She declares. Beginning to feel the threat of exhaustion, her defensive guard was high, and she was more than prepared to face him off. To mitigate whatever damage she could, and to subsequently push herself to higher limits. She'd used a good bit of chakra, and the Saaberu no Jutsu wasn't helping. However, it was now or never. Besides. If need be? She had a few assurances to ensure she could outlast the man in a battle of attrition.

Employing the use of chakra flow, the user runs chakra through their swords, extending both the reach and cutting ability of the blade while allowing the user to fire crescents of chakra whenever the blade is swung on command. This released chakra is capable of great destruction as these projectiles are capable of completely penetrating large stone pillars and still travel in their intended direction.

In the midst of the chaotic battle within the confined room, Shō realised that he had sustained injuries from the hazards surrounding them as well as opponent strike, a careless mistake by him due to the mounting exhaustion. Shō looked at his opponent tiredly. Fatigue and injury was setting in, and the odds seemed increasingly stacked against the team. Their opponent, however, appeared to be in better condition.

With the entire team standing together, facing off against their formidable foe, Shō knew he had to communicate his condition to his comrades. In a quiet mutter, he admitted, "I'm injured and exhausted. I'm sorry, but the only thing I can do at this point is some low-rank genjutsu."

Still, he knew that even low-rank genjutsu could play a crucial role in their battle. He aimed to use it as a distraction. Although their enemy was also a skilled genjutsu user, he would still have to expend time and effort to break free from the illusion, creating a potential small opening for their team. Shō could afford to stand still, but the enemy couldn’t because he was alone and up against three people.

He remained in his position and, without performing any hand seals, shouted the name of the genjutsu, "Keizokuteki Enmu no Jutsu" There was no need to conceal it as a ninjutsu anymore, as it was the second time he was employing this technique against the enemy. His sole focus was to obstruct the enemy's vision, and If he noticed their enemy was breaking free from the illusion, he would attempt to cast it again to maintain the pressure.

Things were going south quickly for all of them. This adversary was difficult for them and they weren't able to coordinate their attacks well enough. They should have planned more. Kyoko felt partially at fault for this as she was falling back into her old habits when she was in the chunin exams. Had she not grown as a shinobi since then? She was talented with a blade that was for sure, but was that all she amounted to? This mission seemed to show just how inexperienced she was as a shinobi and it was very mentally draining on her. Not to mention the veins in her hand were making it more and more difficult to concentrate. She needed treatment soon or else she could risk losing the hand altogether. [break][break]

Her clan eyes still activated making the visual genjutsu not affect her, but she wasn't fast enough to react to help Sho out. The pain of her hand started to get to her as her breathing started to get shallower and shallower as time raged on in this battle. While she had the chakra reserves to back up this fight she didn't have the physical stamina to fight for too much longer. She would need to work on that later. So a prolonged battle wasn't something that she could handle and they needed to end this now. So as a drastic measure, Kyoko grabbed Nuibari and put it back in her other hand where the pain was immense, but if it meant her aim was better she would deal with it temporarily. Pouring some of her chakra into the blade she would then chuck it towards the man where the blade would go flying almost like a spear hoping that maybe just maybe she could pierce him clean.[break][break]

The man was surprised, but saw Ikana react in spite of everything, as his arm extended he shifted his posture to use a quick rotation technique something basic to get out of the way of her reverse swing, but his arm never stopped extending as he floated towards Ikana's left side, his hand continued forward towards an exposed shoulder the same technique intended for her as before, though no longer at her neck but rather her shoulder. The fog returned soon thereafter, and while it seemed like the Kirigakure no Jutsu, he knew it was not. He knew it was genjutsu, but he was close enough to Ikana that he did not need to fear it. He could still see the little pip squeak.

Regardless, the back side of her swing did manage to cut into him. Not the way she intended, but just enough to harm. Of course, that also meant that she continued the swing and had her shoulders veins ruptured.

But a win was a win, was it not?

Their opponent - if Ikana followed through and took damage in the process - now had a diagonal cut from his hip to his shoulder, right to left. In pain, but content with the damage he had done he would leap back just in time to be caught by Kyoko's blade spearing him through his stomach, it ended the genjutsu that Sho had cast immediately from the pain alone.

He coughed, and put his hand down fearlessly against the blade starting to pull it out as blood pooled from his mouth. He needed to finish them off first, before he could fall over and die...

They were at their wits end anyway, he just needed one more big attack... But what? Letting go of the sword he did something one last time, performing the hand seals at a distance, inhaling and then attempting to expel a dark fog - doku giri.

Saturday November 4th, 1:20AM

Quick Rotation is used to avoid the majority of Ikana's attack, however she manages to slice at him diagonally towards the end of her cut at the expense of her shoulder's veins being burst - like Kyoko's wrist - if she evades, he does not get slashed/avoids it entirely as she chooses to not complete her attack. Sho's genjutsu lands, but is quickly ended when he leaps back and gets speared by Nuibari, he attempts to remove it but chooses to instead make an attempt to spew Doku Giri on the group.

She dedicated to her chakra infused strike. To cause her foe a burst of pain from her extended reach. He rotated to mitigate his damage, and as he twist himself, swerving his hand to land along her shoulder as opposed to her neck? She'd widened her eyes and leaned into him. His palm brushes and presses against her chuunin jacket, and despite this protection, she'd felt the strange sensation of something slicing? No. Bursting. She was fortunate. An inch or two to the left would have touched a major vein or artery. If he touched under her armpit, the same thing. However, she felt her blade slice into his form, and as her foe leaped back? She felt a blistering and burning sensation. As her blade lay sheathed within her scabbard. No crescent needed as her blow landed. 

As he pulls backwards, she could feel the pop as the nerves and muscles sent an incredible pain through her. However, it was far from the worst pain she'd ever experienced. It was nothing compared to the Bijuu extraction. It was nothing compared to the mauling she'd experienced. It was a unique pain yes, but she was no stranger to its hurtful embrace. Every hurt was a lesson. Every pain was a teacher. With the pain flooding in through her system, the pesky genjutsu she found herself in would fate. The illusion shattered as her opponent flees backwards. Only for her to see the satisfaction of her foe leaping straight into a spear like needle thrust through his chest with the lacing of string. Ikana found herself nursing her arm for a moment as she herself hopped back a short distance.

Only for him to begin forming a final handseal sequence. A final assault upon her and her team. "Get behind me!" She shouts to Kyoko, as she leaps in front of Sho. She finds herself weaving a short handseal sequence, ending in the dog seal. Attempting to match his seal sequence, if not ending shortly afterwards. They both take a deep breath, and he exhales forth a cloud of toxic, poisonous fog. A single breath of which would kill them all. However, Ikana counters with another technique. One that would undoubtedly leave her on the throes of exhaustion, if not slightly out of it. However. To protect her teammates here...She felt the resolve and strength necessary, as she feels her shoulder pain flare. She was certain of it. That she could pull it off and save them from trouble and preserve their strength.

"Fuuton: Shinkuha!" With a deep exhale, she delivers powerful waves of slashing wind, turning her head from side to side as she turns her head, not only blowing this poisonous fog backwards towards the caster whom could likely see little to nothing past this large expansive volume of poison despite the Nuibari in their system. However, if her waves landed, the waves of wind would rip into the man's flesh deeply, all the way to bone as she finishes her turning motion. Diffusing the poison, hopefully, she immediately reaches into her side pouch. Taking forth three small black pills. Offering one out to each of her comrades. 

Chakra food pills. Though regardless if they ate or not, she waited. Waited to see the conclusion of her attack.

Her spear flew true and hit its target with success which was good they finally got a clean hit on him. Kyoko was happy, but this elation would make her painfully aware of the injury in her hand as it throbbed so hard it felt like it was bursting a second time. Still, the fight was not finished so she needed to continue going. Ikana seemed to believe that too as she issued another warning to Kyoko which Kyoko would follow since it seemed Ikana had a lot of wide-range devastating attacks she needed to be wary of. Using the chakra she had in Nuibari to pull the blade back to her once it was released from the opponent's grasp she caught her blade and got ready to defend.[break][break]

Keeping herself near Sho to make sure he wouldn't get hit anymore than he was already she decided to prep a jutsu of her own just in case Ikana's didn't work. Grabbing hold of the wire she would charge it with raiton chakra ready to make it into a stun gun sort of lasso that she would throw at the man if he got too close. She wouldn't toss it at him yet though as she awaited to see if Ikana's attack would do the trick. Especially since she was starting to lose focus with her chakra starting to deplete. Her own clan eyes went dormant and deactivating from the fatigue.[break][break]

Bzzzzzzz — The relentless buzzing akin to a swarm of agitated insects or the frantic wing-flapping of a fly filled his ears. However, it was not the sound of actual insects but rather the disorienting noise echoing within his fatigued mind. Shō's senses were additionally impaired due to injuries, his vision and hearing were greatly diminished. Despite the near-deafness that enveloped him, Shō's instincts prompted him to withdraw to his teammates. He then reached out with trembling hands to grasp the black chakra pill that Ikana had offered, though it felt like an eternity to process the next step.

Despite his desire to contribute to the team's efforts, Shō's legs gave way, and he fell to the ground. He pondered the idea of attempting the same low cost genjutsu, but his deteriorating concentration and rapidly depleting chakra reserves rendered it an unviable option. He doubted the illusion would last even a mere second in his current state.

Kyoko yanked the blade back and despite the pain that meant he could move, a hand to his stomach as he started to bleed out. Ikana utilizing another fuuton attack it would blow back the poison, the singular sensation of wind was enough for him to form a hand seal to body flicker to just behind the grouping, he was breathing heavily, he was still of the mind that he needed to kill them. But now he was just behind them as insane winds and his fog seemed to mix. He was still wearing the filter, but it was flickering out due to the pain he was experiencing.

He reached for a kunai, but then collapsed knees first against the ground, his forehead planted firmly against a wall nearby the door that was still very much locked that the group had walked into. Blood was pooling around his knees, it seemed that the one and only true attack that the team had put together had actually worked. But they would get no satisfying end here, just that their enemy was on his knees and bleeding out, and one moment his shoulders were heaving, and then the next he grew still as if he had died on his knees leaning with his forehead against the wall like a statue.

The enemy has been defeated and thus Ikana's, Kyoko's and Sho's part of the event concludes. They may heal up and then retreat or continue up. Continuing up will result in more difficult enemies. They can hold this point of the building as well just in case when the jounin teams come through - as were the instructions.

The three however do get a successful pass for their part of the event, though their teamwork needs a great deal more work.

Chakra and stamina are likely at all time low.

As the man slowly died, she found herself taking a deep breath. Out of everyone, she'd seemingly come out the least wounded and the most put together in terms of energy. However, that didn't mean they weren't in the need of a doctor. That they weren't in the need for some emergency aid. Taking the liberty to look at the two of her comrades, she presents each of them with a chakra food pill. "Recuperate your strength..." She says, before biting down on one herself. Chewing the medicinal herb ball as she feels energy flooding her system. Before she then looks to Sho.

Offering him some cloth to hold his bleeding wound, she looks to the body before them. "...All three of us are fairly wounded. You can't use a hand." She says pointing to Kyoko. "And you can hardly move with that knife in you. We need medical care. We need to go." Assuming they agreed, she'd proceed to look back. "I'm not doing the best myself." She says, looking to see how her shoulder was turning a blueish purple after the veins burst. "...We didn't do the best, but. We're alive. And I'm happy for that." She says honestly. Hopefully, if they saw her reasoning? They'd make their departure. They'd done what they could do within their means. "Let's get out of here."

"This is beyond our level at this point. And beyond our paygrade..."

Exhausted beyond words, Shō wordlessly nodded to convey his gratitude as he accepted the chakra food pill from Ikana. After that, he reached into his pouch and retrieved a blood pill, quickly consuming a few to help recover from his fatigue and injuries. The medicine proved to be quite effective, as he soon felt his energy returning, allowing him to speak and move more comfortably. Although his stamina hadn't fully recovered, he was no longer forced to remain idle, gasping for air. Shō generously shared the pills with Kyoko and Ikana, knowing they were in need of recovery as well.

With a calm but fatigued tone, he expressed his thoughts. "I don't think I can handle another battle right now. I'll need some time to regain my energy." Shō rose to his feet after taking a deep breath, his aching body still protesting with every movement. He then turned his attention to the fallen enemy, whose body was in an awkward position.

"We were simply serving different lords." he thought. Gently, he adjusted the man's body, laying it on the ground in a more dignified manner. Finally, he looked to Kyoko and Ikana, waiting for them to recover, before making his leave.
